The biggest blame lies with the writer... n no two things on that..!! I mean.. even Sathiya which such ridiculous plot has more drama and ability to create buzz n there the lead couple r not even romantic but seen in every scene..together..

What works for shows like SNS is that it is one cohesive story that moves forward (albeit very slowly) every episode and it is a tried and tested model that has been followed to a tee. If you want to break of out of the norm, you have to be excellent to pull people out of their habits, which KTLK wasn't, on a story front at the beginning.

As for Ashni not being an attractive enough couple, I don't think it has anything to do with the age factor. The falling in love process, key in a love story, was just hurried and botched. They are making up for it with a great in love but can't admit it (from Ashu's side) phase now though and I hope they continue with this same focus, and don't get unecessarily side tracked by KW's entry.
