@bhavik: I think there is a difference between loving something you take seriously and loving something you don't. Andaaz Apna Apna falls into the latter. It's a cult classic, a sample of the OTT cinema of the time, where you laugh at the dramatic bits because really they are melodramatic bits. Similarly, Saas-bahu shows, many people watch but I don't know how many take it seriously. KTLK was always meant to be taken seriously as a story but the first days of the show, it seemed like the writers weren't taking their job seriously at all and so the story fell flat.

My argument here is that if the script is tight and the execution good, audience will automatically come because they also want to watch something they really like, rather than just time pass. BUT if the script is weak, no matter how talented the leads are, or how good the promotion was, the show cannot sustain its audience more than a few weeks.

@Tanu: I guess we have no idea what effect KW will have on the situation. 😆 I just hope they don't shift focus too much at this crucial stage.

Probably thats one of the major reasons - there may b many who can't appreciate such a story. And by the way, to pair nidhi witha younger actor wud require changing the whole story, plot et al. Then might as well watch one of the meaningless shows on another channel...
