Dr Hardstone

From Whatever I have seen...

Dr Ashutosh is a hard stone as popularly known. He seems to be a hard stone for a reason. A reason which is very personal in nature. He too was once a person who loved flowers but now hates its sight. He is hiding behind the stiff facade on the pretext of being a no nonsense doctor. That does not mean that he wasn't a good doctor earlier. He just uses to this no nonsense no fun defense to ward off people coming close to him.

But the point I wanted to talk about is not Ashutosh but his outlook towards Mallika. One cannot force oneself to love another cause love happens. Like it happened for Mallika. She fell in love with Ashutosh and she remains in love with him regardless time circumstances (cause it is 12 years I say circumstances also) behavior, etc.


Sadly for Ashutosh it was difficult to reciprocate for whatever reason. But I genuinely feel at times that such people who say they are not in love or cannot fall in love use other people in their lives as a pretext to vent their pent up emotions and frustrations. That is whoever is ready to take their anger, prejudice, whims, etc they will pile it on them without giving a second thought that how that person may feel.


These people are not insensitive but get incapable of being sensitive of others feelings. Another e.g. is Ashutosh's reaction to the caretaker Hiraman's logic of the present house being as comfortable as any.

I know it's too early in the serial to brand Ashutosh as one of those people but generally I feel this is the case.

Nice post I am looking forward to see how Ashutosh would change his thinking process and start finding somthing he lost long ago

But my heart goes out to Mallika ... who has taken all that may come her way from Ashutosu and that too with a smile

But then life is all about our choices I guess she made the choice of pain and agony

I am also looking to see Mallika's character, Maybe she can see a lot what Nidhi may not be able to see in Ashutosh, but she may also find Nidhi as a healing power for Ashutosh , So anything can happen, Interesting characters so will keep a look out on these fcators,

Loved teh scene at the washroom both Ashutsh and Mallika had, lets see whats in store

i feel sorry for Mallika...loving someone for 12 years n not getting d same in return from someone u luv isnt sth easy to deal wid...n must say she's reallyyy a strong lady...when Dr.A will fall for Nidhi she's gonna have a hard time...

nice post...i feel pity and sad for mallika...she really loves ashutosh from the core of her heart and in its return she have to just wait and wait...poor she...i wish she also move forward in life when ashu do so...

Shamil yes I think you are right , Mallika I would want to be a great support system for ashu and a good friend, I guess as the story progresses it would be nice to see that shade

while I agree with ur pov on mallika, I would slightly disagree abt ashutosh. The guy has already made it clear that she can only be his friend and nothing else. If M still continues to have hopes, she alone is responsible. I am sure u will see his sensitive side too as the show progresses

Di actually maybe I did not say it correctly ... What you are saying is true M having hopes is alone responsible for it. Ashutosh is also not wrong cause he has sounded her off on his intentions very clearly long ago.

But for M is like umeed pe duniya kayaam hai type While Ashutosh has given up hopes and is stuck on one point. Be it whatever.

What I meant to say is that people like Ashutosh are insensitive towards people who try to help him see that hope. When I meant M it was not the love / relationship aspect but the point of view of the flower scene where she is help Ashutosh find that long lost Ashutosh who used to be happy.

or for that matter the caretake Hiraman who is trying to say that let go of the house and those memories which Ashutosh is not ready to.

What I mean to say is that people like Ashutosh use such caring people to dump their baggage For e.g. Ashutosh promptly snapped back saying I don't like flowers to M or to Hiraman saying I can never forget that house and now I will always live with these wounds.

Both these individuals are trying to help him move on but he is not ready to. He is insensitive to their efforts which are in his best interests cause they really do care.

Hope I am able to explain my viewpoint now.
