Sonakshi is my all time favourite character . She's every thing that today's woman should be , The almost perfect role model for young girls , truly an inspiring character in so many ways. Kudos to the creatives for giving us this wonderfully etched character of Dr. Sonakshi Bose. ( As a Jabra fan I swell with pride , more so because I'm also a bengali girl and a doctor. )
How ever , I'm sorry I've to disagree with you on just one single point . This is completely my personal opinion , and I hope you understand that I'm entitled to my own opinion just like you're entitled to yours.
See , I've watched KRPKAB since the pilot aired , I never missed a single episode . Many episodes I watched more than once . Many of them I downloaded and watched again and again . I analysed them as I watched n rewatched.
Based on such , I've come to the opinion that Sonakshi's only flaw , (that prevents her from being perfect , as opposed to almost perfect ) was to forgive them after their separation . No self respecting woman should've gone back to a man like Dev Dixit . Dev was always like how he is , weak and totally blind towards his own family . Yes he loved Sonakshi blindly , but whenever she truly needed her husband to take a stand for her , he was never there for her . NEVER !
To make a marriage success , love is not enough . in fact you can do without love as long as you've true care , genuine respect and heartfelt communication towards yours spouse . And Dev failed her pre leap , in fact previous to their 1st break up , in each of these departments .
I lost major connectivity with Sonakshi when she agreed to marry Dev under Ishwari's master emotional manipulation with out resolving the pending issues - the manner and the reason leading to their break up.
That was her first and gravest mistake . She should've moved on with Ritwik. Ritwik was perfect partner for her . In fact the perfect partner one girl could wish for . And she left him for whom ???? For a man like Dev .
The day she did this , I wished that their marriage fails . I knew it will . It was a train wreck from the word go . It was just a matter of time .
And how it failed !
Not only she got the worst treatment possible from her so-called loving husband's family ( to which her husband was a mute spectator mostly ) but her family too paid by bearing insult time and again becoz of her fool hardy decision to marry Dev and cope up with Dixit's nonsense.
To be honest , the way his father and brother got insulted by his family and his mother in his very presence , I'd not have looked back on the guy in the next seven life times no matter how much he apologises. But then I hold my family to some importance in my life.
Post leap , combined with how he insulted her before separation which no self respecting woman should ever forgive in several life times , let alone in the same one , Dev just worsened his track record , by insulting her time and again , man handling her and also sleeping with multiple girls with out seeking a proper legal divorce at first .
And Sona ?? What did she do ?? Forgave Ishwari and Dev when they apologized , patched up , forgot all the trauma , insult every thing towards her and her family and reunited with Dev.
I swear I found it extremely unpalatable , unbelievable and unrelatable . Therefore I lost connectivity .
Yes Sonakshi was good , but she was too good to be true . No girl in real life can be so self sacrificing , mahaan and self deleting . Today's girls are definitely not like this . Nor they should be !
Yet , I've to agree that she's with out a doubt the most wonderful , forgiving , kind and sweet human being ever possible . Dev was truly extremely lucky to have her in his life . A piece of luck neither he nor his obnoxious family deserved it any way.
