Hi guys,

My name is Nikita. I used to visit this forum and participate in the discussions long before, when KRPKAB was still a new show. Now it seems like the forum is barely active (not surprising considering that the show has ended now) I have been catching up with the episodes which I had missed when the show was still on air. Thought of making a post on certain things which I pondered upon.

Firstly, is it really possible for someone to be like Sonakshi? I know, I know it's a silly question to ask but I couldn't help but wonder..how can someone possibly be so understanding and caring. Thankfully Sonakshi helping the Dixits (be in Khatri's matter or reuniting Dev with his sisters) didn't come across as annoying coz often in TV shows the FLs are projected in a way that they come across as interfering and silly.

I guess it's coz Sonakshi had embraced Dev's family as her own even before she married him, as a nutritionist, that she felt a connection with them even though she wasn't with them for 7 years.

Either ways there is something incridibly inspiring and idealistic about Sonakshi. On one hand, I feel that it is so unrealistic for someone to be as caring and selfless as her and on the other hand I feel there is much to learn from her. And hey why won't she be like that her Mom Asha herself was so understanding and sensible. (Btw, I really liked seeing Asha and Dev's Saans-Damaad bonding..they seemed more like friends than MIL-SIL)

When I started catching up the show I couldn't help but admire how the show made an excellent come back after leap. Post leap had some of the most amazing scenes and the one that tops my list is when Ishwari goes to take Sonakshi on Dev and Nisha's engagement day. Ishwari's apology and the way she describes that how while working as her nutritionist Sonakshi made a place in her heart and she started loving her as a child without even realising so, was heart touching. I had never imagined that that part (how Sona took care of Ishwari as a nutritionist) would ever be touched or spoken about. So it was pleasantly surprising and needless to say wonderfully written and enacted by the two actors.

I also absolutely enjoyed Dev and Sonakshi's sassyness post leap. Only thing extremely off putting was how Dev used to manhandle Sonakshi. And him acting all entitled as if he had done no wrong at all. Also I lost count of the number of times he called her "strong & independent" in a mocking tone. As if Sonakshi was not strong and independent when he had first met her and it was only after they separated that she achieved any sort of professional success. Like hold on your horses dude, who used to keep referring her as the best nutritionist?!

Nonetheless at last he realizes his mistakes and apologizes. The way he asks Sonakshi to return in his life in inebriated state touched my heart. It's sort of funny and ironic how the show started off with Dev's mother being the focal point of his life and then after he fell in love with Sona he totally became all about her. Yes he continued to love and care for his mother and did really become a very good father as well but various scenes showed that the only person who actually made his life feel complete was his lady love, his wife - Sonakshi. (I also happened to notice that more often than not Dev used to call her Sonakshi only and very rarely did he call her Sona)

I love loveddd Sonakshi's absolutely modern and classy way of dressing post leap. Didn't quite grow a liking for her dressing post Shaadi and in the second season. But the girl in love Sona pre leap and successful businesswoman Sona post leap were just so immaculately dressed (ofcos a few times here and there the outfits weren't very flattering but most of the times she did dress very elegantly) I also really liked Riya's styling post leap. Those off shoulder suits used to look really pretty on her.

Lastt but not the least, a huge huge round of applause to the adorable kids Golu, Soha and Aaroo. They were so effortless, real and amazing. Their innocence and cuteness was so beautifully captured. I love them! <3

All in all I love how after losing track KRKAB did make a good comeback and proved why it was such a worth watching show and clearly one of those shows which we all would keep watching and re-watching

Sorry about the length of this post and thank you for reading! :)

Given a choice I would never want such an understanding partner like Sonakshi ever in my life and would rather prefer a so called flawed character Dev .Atleast I won't be kept away from my child by my understanding partner but instead a flawed character would selflessly scarifice his career ,dreams so that I can achieve mine

It takes lot of courage to admit ones mistake and apologize for others mistake .Thats the reason we only saw one person doing that is Dev and everyone else were busy shifting the blame on others head . Such a strong message CV sent us ..dont admit your mistake and put the blame on others head only then you would strong and independent women .

Lastly , Sonakshi was the best DIL one could get but unfortunately in my opnion one of the worst wife and mother anyone can have in their life

P.S this is my personal opinion about the characters of the show and not directed to the poster ...no offense meant

I don't know a character like sonakshi is possible in Normal life or not but definitely not a selfless according to me, rather than I find her self centered and very ordinary girl who isn't maahan of course. Though I sometimes get irked with sonakshi but I glad CVS didn't make her mahan like other heroine.
If anyone is selfless in this show that is Dev IMO who never cared for his own happiness always cared for his family but every time people misunderstood him

Anyways welcome to here 🤗

Travelled back to the past,on seeing the post. More than that I don't want to say anything more. Frustrated and felt sad for Dev Dixit. Long live Sonakshi and her everlasting Mahanta..

Hmmm that's weird but given a choice I think anybody would be a lucky person to get a spouse like Sonakshi :) IMO both Dev and Sonakshi had certain extremes to their respective personalities. Sona right from the start was shown as someone who would go out of her way to help her patients. That she's a caring daughter and nutritionist was established right from the start and later on could be seen in how she took care of Ishwari and bonded with Nikki. It doesn't come as a surprise that she tried her best to adjust in the Dixit household after getting married to Dev. But honestly she deserved way better than to be caught up with those quarrels and insults which not only her but also her family had to bear.

So am super glad she separated from Dev and created an identity for herself. And as for the 7 years of separation, honestly both of them could have tried to reach out to one another which they didn't. The blame can't be shifted to just Sona or just Dev.

Sona honestly should have put up Dev for a task for having all those girlfriends in her absence 😆 Dev got a good taste of his own medicine in the form of Jatin 😆

Anyway the intention of my post was not to show that I prefer Sona over Dev or vice-versa. I like them and adore certain qualities about them both.

If Sonakshi was sensible she would have stayed away from Dixit issues ..Dev always advised her to stay away but madam was in a different world anyway regarding identity she could have created by staying and supporting her husband but her bad luck she lost a gem and later in the end it was Dev because of which she could fulfill her dream .She is forever indebted to Dev for scarificing his career for her .Sonakshi would not have done even in her dreams ...unconditionally love is not everyone's cup of tea

If Sona after committing grave mistake of separating father and daughter can get away then any other mistakes looks very small infront of it .

The less said the better about poor Jatin ..he was used like a tissue paper ..once he was god father of soha and other moment he was forgotten completely. He was used to finance Bose business and when he was no longer needed he was shown his place by Bose family .This is another guy I feel sorry for after Dev

Anyway there is no point in a discussing about this

I am not sure that I agree with this. I never really saw her going out of her way to help any of her patients. She might have chased that guy to the parking lot. But none of that was for the true benefit of her patients. It was all about her career and her career record, to say that she never "fails. If she was one to truly help others, she would have tried to see things from their perspective. But she never had that mindset. If she had that quality she wouldn't have just dismissed that pregnant lady's dilemma so lightly. She would have helped that pregnant lady and her MIL regarding the question of getting more milk for that pregnant lady. But she point blank refuses to even consider that pregnant lady's problems. It is the same thing with her throughout the series. She always needed Saurabh or Asha's help to understand Dev and his feelings. Then she needed Asha's help in understanding Suhana's feelings.

A truly selfless person will be able to help others on their term which is what Dev was. Sonakshi is a very selfish person who never really thought of others as people. For her nothing mattered above her. For her it was all about her, as to how right she is and how wrong others are.

The makers showed how selfless a man can be through Dev Dixit. They also showed how narrow minded and selfish a woman can be through Sonakshi. But I am sure even after reading my dear Shaavi's posts I still believe the makers failed to convey their message successfully.Mostly Viewers just understood the charecters in a reverse mode.A big failure on the part of creative team.
