He may have a lot of faults but this is one thing we cant take from him. And most actors are not invested in their characters as much as we would like to believe they are. Its career and business for them at the end of the day unlike fans. Erica might get a better show and a better PH for all we know. My only question is why is this being held against Shaheer? He is just doing his job know? Especially because this industry is super fickle and if Sha says no, Mamta will have a million options to pick from. That was my only point anyway. That we are okay with Erica working with BD/in new shows with other co-stars but we seem to have inhibitions when it comes to Shaheer. PB was a problem (its cringe-worthy no doubt), the Angel show was a problem (doesn't do justice to his talent for sure), now this is also a problem. Woh kare toh kya kare? As much as we would like to believe they are showered with offers, this is probably the best of the lot for all we know. I just think some of the censure is unfair.

No Akansha, did not mean to say Shaheer shouldn't have taken it up or is at fault for doing this show. I tried to write down he is being judged and blamed for doing this show so soon after the previous one while it was not taken into consideration that he was in fact always rearing to do something apart from krpkab. And yep, I actually do think this is a lucrative offer for him since the story obviously revolves around him. If it does well, it a big win for him. I will not watch it as for me, he has played this character or some semblance to it in krpkab and we know the intensity he can pull off. It isn't a novel idea to see Shaheer do the intense love thing again right after krpkab, but that doesn't mean I condemn him for doing it. If he let it go, he might not have gotten it again.
I cannot expect BD to work with Erica either. Not in my power, but Sonakshi after a point did not have the powerful role she had in S1 so even if she plays a similar character with another actor, it will be something different (for me) to see Erica play even the same character in another show. Plus, Erca being only one show old, has a lot to offer which I have not seen. Shaheer has a body of work behind him, snippets of all of which I have watched where he plays a lover boy of different ages. This was Erica's first and I'd be excited to see more. And I praise her overtly because any PH would be lucky to have her and I wish BD had the vision to see what they had.
