Nitu and Lakshmi, I understand what you are saying. But am still optimistic that the makers will not show an incorrect message to the masses. If they end the series as you guys mentioned and keep Sonakshi's "saintly image and Bose family's "perfection image, then it will be a very erroneous message to the masses. Till date the makers have always called out the wrong things as wrong. When Dev stalked Sonakshi after the initial breakup, the makers first showed Sonakshi telling Dev how wrong it is of him to do that and finally showed Dev himself admitting that it was not ok of him to stalk her. Similarly I think the makers will debunk the idea that Sonakshi and Bose as ideals.
In the beginning of the series, Ishwari was shown as an ideal mother with some outbursts from Neha now and then. Even with Neha complaining, Ishwari was still considered as a very good mother till around 100 - 120 episodes which is when she was shown to succumb to her insecurities. After that she was shown to openly manipulate during Dev's initial marriage phase leading to the breakup. Ishwari's realization was shown somewhere around 320th episode. So they showed nearly 200 episodes with Ishwari's insecurity. My guess is they are equating Sonakshi to Ishwari. Sonakshi's perfection image started around the 122nd episode when Dev broke up with Sonakshi in the hospital. Sonakshi started admitting to her being flawed around episode 300. Ishwari first admitted to only some of her faults earlier during Dev remarriage track admitted to all of her faults. Sonakshi's track has been similar to this. She has started to admit to her minor faults till now. But in this track she will be made to admit all her faults.
Ishwari was never shown to embrace new ideas immediately without questioning them. When Sonakshi first confirms that she is pregnant the second time, but starts talking to her about the possible risks, Ishwari's first reaction is to negate her doubts and try to persuade her to keep her pregnancy. Ishwari immediately went into that silent treatment mode which noticed even by Riya and Nikki. Only when Sonakshi says that she has decided to keep the baby is when she becomes ok again. So I am guessing she will be in a similar place now too. She will dislike the idea of Dev staying at home for extended time while Sonakshi is out working. I don't think she will support Sonakshi in any way.
Coming to Sonakshi, it is true that she justified herself in hiding Vickky's truth regarding breakup and eviction. She was also shown going behind Dev to get Vickky back. But she was not shown to be successful both in bringing back Vickky as well as convince Dev that she is right. Dev was shown to stand his ground and not follow her script. During Soha's birthday party time, the next step was shown where Sonakshi was shown to believe Dev when he says that Vickky's remorse is fake. And after Dev gifts the company to Vickky, she is shown to apologize and and accept that she was wrong. After that even though she wanted reconciliation between Dev and Vickky, it was shown that she doesn't persuade Dev in any way. The same was shown for Ishwari too. I mean during Soha's birthday track, maami was shown to try to induce Ishwari, maamaji and Sonakshi to use their influence on Dev and ask him to forgive Vickky. But was shown that idea rejected by all 3 of them.
During the second pregnancy track, Dev was shown to stand by his decision even when nobody supported him. Only when the doctors are consulted for second opinion and the lady doctor gives that hope, he accepts for the second baby. But here too he was shown to take charge and not just go by what is told to him by Ishwari or Sonakshi. For me, it meant that Dev has finally started to take decisions based on his judgment and does what he feels is the right thing to do. And with that my guess is he will continue taking decisions as he sees fit and will not blindly follow Sonakshi. During the final episodes it was also shown, although subtly that he no longer considered her as perfect and that she was not always correct. In fact he was shown to make fun of her "perfect persona when he asks her if she was looking for her wonder woman costume.
During infertility track Ishwari had told Sonakshi that she would understand her when Sonakshi' became a mother. With Suhana coming to the pic, Ishwari started to understand Ishwari the mother. But for Ishwari, Dev was kind of like a de facto partner after her husband's death. Sonakshi has been shown to mimic Ishwari and want to be like her. And makers have created such parallels in Ishwari and Sonakshi's lives that they have become mirror images of each other so to speak. If in season 1, Ishwari' insecurities had grown to monstrous proportions, Sonakshi's insecurities has now reached the same place. If earlier it was Ishwari who feared that she will lose Dev's love and respect if he comes to know of her mistakes, now Sonakshi is in that place. Sonakshi will lose everything if she loses Dev's love. She now has the fear that if Dev comes to know of her imperfections and the blunders she has committed, then will leave her. Just like Ishwari who knew that Sonakshi was a good person, but feared the same goodness, Sonakshi will know in her heart that the teacher is a good person, but will fear that same goodness. Just like how Ishwari had once said that Sonakshi will marry Jotin because, Jotin is similar to Dev as in both Dev and Jotin were her employers who became friends and later became lovers(before her realization), Sonakshi will make a similar assumption saying both she and the teacher were hired by Dev as employees, later on treated like friends and then he confessed that he loves them. I am just making a comparison and not really saying it happened. What I mean is Ishwari only accepted that there was nothing between Sonakshi and Jotin and that he was only her friend after her realization. Sonakshi will first equate herself to that teacher and will accept that the teacher was only his friend after her realization.
Last but not least is the 3 blocked episodes in YouTube. These are deliberately blocked and all 3 of them revolve around Sonakshi(mostly). In one episode there is a small reference to maami and her greed and sense of entitlement. I am very sure that the makers are focusing on these 3 episodes and the tracks will lead to their unblocking. I have complete faith in the makers. Especially since DD in his blog wrote explicitly that Sonakshi is flawed and faulty. If they don't show her flaws, then it will be a contradiction to his own article.
