There has been several occasions when her advice and actions has had negative consequences, but where she has failed to take responsibility for the same. She still has not revealed the truth regarding eviction to the Boses nor has absolved Dev from the same. She also has not taken any responsibility for Dev not being in Suhana's life for the last 7 years. Even towards the final episode, she wanted to go to Bose house because she didn't want Ishwari or Dev to know her mood swings. It shows that even though Dev and Ishwari have accepted her fully, she has not accepted them as her family.
A lot of Bijoy and Bose family perfection image comes from the fact that Sonakshi maintains that perfection image. For Bijoy to realize that his family is not perfect, Sonakshi has to accept her flaws and faults and absolve Dev from the same. She needs to start being truly honest and truthful for Bijoy to realize that he is not perfect.
This is the realization and redemption of Sonakshi that I am referring to. She has to tell Bijoy that her loving Dev was not a mistake, that she is lucky that Dev fell in love with her and she definitely has not done any favors to Dixits.
But seeing the way it ended, my guess is Dixit family will become similar to Bose house where Dev stands for Asha, Sonakshi for Bijoy and Ishwari for dida. Just like how Bijoy is treated like a mixture of caricature and important person, Sonakshi will not be taken seriously by Dev or Suhana. Their response to her will be "mummy bhi na" which is what they both say when they realize that Sonakshi has gone out to work. I am referring to the night Sonakshi goes to Bose house to fix the legal issue and work with Saurabh.
@Shaavi, while I do not completely 100% agree with everything you have said with respect to Sonakshi...
But, I definitely think that Sona is flawed, but that is why I love both Dev and Sona so much... In my eyes, she is not one of those people who says, 'Sorry' but she tries to apologise through her actions..
And, you are right about certain things but I don't think she was chasing the title of being the 'best bahu' or something, after coming back with Dev... But, yes, she did unintentionally hid the truth from Ishwari and then, her cravings as well as her tendency to avoid facing the negative outcomes of her actions...
But, in one of last posts in the Analysis Thread, I spoke about how the finale finally marked the end of Sona's journey from being a daughter-in-law to a daughter...
And also, I think that it is safe to assume she now considers Dev as her equal and no longer considers that she did a favor to him for loving him... I now believe that she has understood the worth of being the woman with whom Dev fell in love with...
And, I think, even you said (in you post on the Analysis Thread) that the last episode might not have broken the Boses' sense of perfection but it has definitely broken the sense of 'being perfect' in Sonakshi...
So, if the rumor about the story continuing from where it left off... I think, the chances of your first wish coming true is definitely a lot times higher than your second wish...
But, I completely agree with you on everything you have said with respect to Sona and the Boses... Like Dev who had to make Ishwari realize and face her flaws, Sona has to do the same to Bijoy (and Saurabh, to a certain extent)...
With her and Dev finally resembling a stable and balanced unit, I expect Sona to be a little more vocal about voicing out the problems in the Boses...
And, if it happens, believe me, I would be dancing with joy... But, a lot will depend on how writers decide to use the Boses... I definitely expect Dev and Sona to act like a couple who has complete faith and trust in each other, but I am not sure about how much of Bijoy's flaws will be dealt with...
And, I don't think that Sona will be ever treated like how Bijoy is treated in the Bose house...
Simply because the dynamics between the Dixits trio, Dev-Sona-Ishwari-Soha is so different and complicated than that of Bijoy-Asha-Dida-Sona...
But, most important, it will never happen so is because of the differences between how Dev sees her wife and how Asha sees her husband...
According to Dev, Sona is clearly the center of his Universe... For him, she is perfect and yes, she has her own set of flaws... But, in his eyes, it only enhances her and makes her even more incredible... That's why, he calls her 'Wonder Woman'...
And, considering how much Soha has started to bond with Dev, I don't think she will ever treat Sona (as a caricature) because of how her father respects her mother...
On the other hand, we have all seen how Asha treats Bijoy... While she does consider Bijoy as a good husband and a great friend, but her love for her partner pales in comparison when we compare it with Dev's for his wife...
A very major factor in Bijoy being treated like a comedian or a caricature in the Boses, is because of how both Asha and Dida considers her husband/her son as a problem creator rather than a fixer...
Also, Bijoy and Sona might share some traits, but there are already a lot of differences between the two...
Sonakshi has proven herself to be a role model for many aspiring women and has truly earned the respect for all of her work and she has a good control on her emotions... In some ways, she might act like a perfectionist but she has never forced her own opinions/expectations on her daughter and like Dev, only wishes Soha to be her own true self...
On the other hand, Bijoy is a man whose pride in his own character and his belief in his own moral superiority has become a very major flaw in his character... And, then, add to this, his crankiness and high tempered attitude, you don't exactly have a person that you would try to emulate or become...
And, the last difference is their choice of partners, which I have already explained above...
But, with so many things up in the air regarding Season 2, a lot will depend on the shoulders of the writers and the makers, for how they decide to present DevAkshi and how they decide to use the Boses, as a filler or an important part of their story...
And, lastly, thank you so much for replying back and answering my questions... Unfortunately, due to work, I was unable to post anything on IF...
