Hello Friends,

Sorry for the late post. I was travelling and was only able to watch the episode this morning when it re-ran.

There are two simultaneous issues going on here very much connected to each other and only Dev and Sonakshi are to blame for and are the only people that can correct them:

1. Their disagreement leading to their continuous fights

2. Effect of this disagreement and fights on their daughter

Also, not sure what's going on in Vicky's mind.

However I am only going to write about Dev's recent behavior.

I understand Dev's behavior is based on a lot of previous incidents throughout his life. I loved Ishwari and Mamaji's conversation yesterday Thursday, 07/31 Episode-371. It reminded me of an article I had read few years back which I thought aptly fit Mamaji's fear with Dev's recent behavior towards Sonakshi.

Mamaji's last 2 sentences in their conversation yesterday were:

"Agar Uske Saare Faisle, Uske Saare Adhikaar Kisi Aur Ke Haatho Me De Diye Jaye To Kya Woh Khush Rahegi? Dev Ka Ye Diwano Jaisa Pyar Sonakshi Ko Kahin Us Se Dur Na Karade."

If you love someone too much, when does that too much love become smothering?

Love is unconditional and selfless. When you love someone, you give them the best by setting them free. You will do whatever is best for them even if it's not exactly the way you want it. Instead of pushing your ideas, your feelings to them you will be open and considerate about their feelings and their ideas and work with them accordingly. Loving someone is also allowing them to be themselves not forcing them to be or do something they are not or force them to do something they don't want to. Love is so strong that it respects other person's space and builds the feeling of trust around you.

Smothering though is selfish and insecure. Smothering only makes you think about yourself, what you want. You stop considering what the other person wants or needs because you start being insecure about losing that person. It makes you question other person's feelings, love about you and you constantly want them to prove their love to you. When you smother the person you love, you will start restricting all their activities, like who they can spend time with, where they will spend their time at, where they can go or can't go. You are so insecure and anxious about them that you may even manipulate them to make them do things against their will.

So Dear Dev Dixit, relationship needs space and air to breathe to survive. Your smothering will only deprive Sonakshi of that oxygen of space and ultimately scare Sonakshi away from you. We all agree that you love her immensely but there is a fine line between Loving and Smothering and make sure not to cross that line or you will lose her again and this time probably forever.

Please know that these are only my views and certainly not intended to disagree with others'.
