I got your point and agree. Dev will definitely reach there and try his best to be available first and solve the problem next. What I am saying is like most of the Kids Soha also is used to Sonakshi's presence especially in study matters. In a way Soha idealises Sonakshi So I feel it is easier for Sonakshi to pick the part and do the needful.

I know some fathers will equally show interest and attend the kids regularly. But mother influence and presence matter the most.

Haha. And Dev's reaction was also hilarious in a way. All he could muster was 'no ice cream'. And Sona was like 'are you kidding. what no ice cream, actually no nothing' 😆😆 The guy is petrified even to shout at Soha. The day I see Dev screaming at Soha or being strict with her is the day I will believe he is actually secure about their relationship. The fact that they were away for 7 years and they met only after she had a properly developed personality coupled with the fact that she asked him to prove his worth to be called her papa makes him extremely uncertain about where he stands in her life IMO. Its obvious Soha adores her papa but for Dev, am not sure if he even feels confident enough to scream at her when she goes wrong. Which is why am curious to see how he handles her tantrums especially when she demands that Vicky be brought back. And am guessing he will give in in all probability and it will take ages before he learns to say a 'no' to her. That its okay to stand your ground and she wont ditch her papa just because he din give in to one of her tantrums 😆

This time I hope Dev does not bow down to Radharani or Ishwari as far as Vicky is concerned. Why is everyone treating Vicky's breach of trust as a trivial issue?
What happened to all the funds that Vicky swindled from Dev? Why did he have to work as a waiter(not sure is he manager... If so that's not a bad job)
I also wish to see Dev not bow down to please Suhaana. He doesn't need to feel that she will leave him now that Sonakshi is with him.

Hi everyone, I hope its ok if I rejoin the thread. Have been missing you all.

I know this entire Vicky saga is coming across as ridiculous. But if one looks closely, what they are showing is not ridiculous but the condition of individuals who are paying the price of their own mistakes and weaknesses.

The basic problem is that Ishwari still somewhere feels indebted to her brother for helping her during her need. The useless parasites called Radha rani and Vicky have extracted sp much benefit from it, that now it has almost become a right for them.

Somewhere in their psyche they have convinced themselves that due to Baldev Tripathi's ehsaan on Ishwari Dixit and her brood, it is now their life long entitlement to enjoy the benefits of Dev's hard work. They are so blinded by this sense of entitlement, that the seven years they spent robbing the Dixits, seems like another ehsaan on dixits by them.

The main culprits are:

1. Firstly, Ishwari who in her emotional need and weakness to keep her brother close, happily overlooked each and every mistake of the mother son duo.

Honestly speaking more than Dev Ishwari, it is Ishwari Baldev relationship which is toxic and is the root cause of most of the problems. The co-dependency relationship of the brother sister is unhealty and unnatural. Baldev was always more concerned about his sister and her children's well being than his wife and son and ended up alienating him. His constant humilaiting of his wife and son is the reason behind his son being a useless criminal and he having no say over it. Ishwari also allowed Vicky to keep on hurting her son, so long as she gets to stay with her Bhaiya.

2. Secondly, Dev who in order to blindly obey his mother, followed her unnatural and unjustifiable commands. Because of Ishwar's constant rant that everyone has equal share and right in Dev's success due to their ehsaans, this situation has arisen. When you allow something wrong to continue, you automatically become a part to it. The day Vicky and Radharani were shouting about Dev giving 5 crs to Saurabh, if Dev had strongly said, this is my money and is jointly owned by my wife, everything would have been auto-corrected.

3. Sonakshi , who is still somewhat scared because of the previous break up and doesn't want any blame on her for breaking the false illusion of the happy Dixit family. Also, she is being a grade A emotional idiot still running after fairy tales, in this case of a big happy family.

Now that Dev has realised his mistakes, he is trying to correct them but his mother and wife are dragging him down with their emotional weaknesses.

Its high time he takes charge as the man of the house, take a few strong, harsh and practical decisions and correct the current situation before Vicky and Radharani make a tool out of Soha and cause irreparable damage to the child.

I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's episode

Because it had some happy light moments after long..After watching it it left me calm inside..Though not completely satisfied but still I wasnt my usual hyper self

Starting with Dev's Sona's romantic moments the are always way too enticing and mesmerizing..Youa re bound to sway with the magic they create on screen..and thats what they did yesterday as well..Also when ever they re live re create their un married days romance..Its always very soothing and emotional for me..and by now I am used to seeing them sorting out their issues more with romance then a genuine deep talks..Cvs do it everytime I am quite used to it by now so I wasn't surprised or miffed to see them not having a long heart to heart conversation..Though the matter again got resolved with Dev being on the understanding side and Sonakshi still very much unaware of his emotions feelings concern fear..Dont know for how long Dev will keep chucking off his desires wants and end every argument with "Its okay,Let it go" and Sonakshi suppressing concealing her feelings not ready to melt mold even a bit..Sighh when will I see them weak fragile asking for each other's support..when will they ever try to peep in to each other's heart & realize what all they are not aware of..But I am still hopeful that in future..This detachment kinda cold approach of Sonakshi will be back in to limelight and will be dealt in a better way & even Dev will open up a little more calmly and not get labelled as "childish kiddish immature" *fingers crossed*

I loved their little conversation in the restaurant..where Soankshi explained him recipe of love..It was nice and sweet..how their should be no conditions restrictions if and buts in love..yes true what ever she explained was right..but that was not the point..you saw him stopping you clutching you but you failed to see his monster like fear worry behind it..Did you genuinely ever had this thought in your head "why Dev is doing so??..Let me find out,I need to help him" Sadly no..I hope and wish in future you realize how scared and frantic he got in those few seconds on deserted road in that Bus when he saw you surrounded by those drunk goons, helpless & weak,if he had been few seconds late what could have happened this thought killed him million times in a minute and continued haunting him for days..I pray you never go through what Dev did in past few days..but then I wish you do because then it might hit you how it feels when you are almost on the verge of loosing your loved one..(I so dont want to see Dev or Soha in any miserable state)

Elena talking to Ishwari and showing her concerns and Ishwari's reaction were very interesting..I understood when Ishwari kinda brushed off Soha's fail thing as I formulated a few reason for that (Mind you its not that ishwari doesnt understand the importance of studies)..firstly she trusts Soha to not repeat this in future as she is bright child but sometimes kids gets distracted so they are not able to do well..secondly It was such a typical grandmothr reaction not really wanting to hear anything bad about her precious grand daughter so she said my child failed too but then she overcame that..Soha too will..Thirdly she has seen Golu in same way but still continuing so she presumed Soha will too continue in that way not big deal..But Elena struck the right chord and very politely expressed her fear and then Ishwari realized if it is an alarming situation..I so enjoyed their conversation..Also Elena didnt blame Dev Sonakshi for anything..she said they are concerned but need to be more attentive from now on

The highlight scene was kids and Dev Sonakshi sequence..Its normal sometimes parents get too involved in their issues and problems that they are not able to fully concentrate on their child..and Its normal with Dev and Sonakshi as well..They too had certain issues and were troubled where they couldnt pay enough attention on Soha...But apparently what ever they lacked with..had quite bad results..with some harmful changes in Soha..and today when they witnessed them they both were baffled..They felt the gravity of the moment and it took them several seconds to come in terms with it..Also when Sonakshi scolded Soha Dev didnt shrug it off saying ok let it be..but subtly warned Soha without upsetting or hurting her as it was first time she flunked but little girl's response shook them..

Next Dev Ishwari's convo was the best part for me atleast.. I am proud of Dev..Its not like Dev Sona doesn't realize the effects of their stress of Soha but were too consumed that they kind kept it aside but seeing Soha it came BAMM reality hit them hard and Dev's response about changing himself for Soha totally melted my heart..Thats how parents are..When you see your child is affected and suffering because of you then you immediately amend that..he said we will do everything to keep our promise & they should..Ishwari is mediator anchor alarm or what ever you can call it this time ..She will be present when ever she will be required and will keep backing them and wont let them fall this time..mamaji said "Is baar dakhal na dene ki wajah se phir rishtey mein daraar aa jayegi"..Now she will be a massive support for them guiding them at right time and right places..Ishwari I am looking forward for you to be their strength and guide..But also let them learn a few lessons themselves

PS A super cute moment - child coming and praising Shaheer's smile..A true fan moment it was..His smile is worth praise..Absolutely beautiful & priceless..Instantly made me happy ..Okay let me confess I am dei heart fan of Shaheer's smile ..Its his best feature ever..How it brightens up his face..Can not takes my eyes off Uhh EEKSS (okay lets stop here oopss)

Hello Everyone,

I really loved episode-373 on Wednesday, 08/02 especially the last two scenes. The consequences of two constantly disagreeing and fighting parents is at last in front of Dev and Sonakshi. It will be very interesting to see how they handle it.

All though, entire episode was great for me, my favorite was the last scene between Ishwari and Dev Especially below dialogues by each of them.

Ishwari: "Log Kehte Hai, Har Bachhe Ki Ek Personality Hoti Hai. Dev, Kai Baar Hum Samaz Nahi Paate Par Bachhe Hame Karib Se, Baariki Se Dekh Rahe Hote Hai. Pichhale Kuch Dino Se Tere Aur Sonakshi Ke Bich Jo Kuchh Bhi Ho Raha Hai Uska hi Shayad Suhana Pe Bhaar Aa Gaya Hai. Mujhe Lagta Hai Suhana Ko Tum Dono Ki Zarurat Hai, Tum Dono Ke Waqut Ki Zarurat Hai. Tum Dono Ke liye yun Ek Saath Aana Samzaute Karna, Itana Mushkil Nahi Hoga Jitna Ke Suhana Ke Liye."

What Ishwari said in above dialogue is so true. Kids may not pay attention to parents asking to do their daily tasks but when their parents are having arguments or heated discussions, their attention is all only there. Children deserve love and feeling of safety from their parents. It is important for children to feel safe around the people and world they are in otherwise they will feel unsafe and suspicious about their surroundings, which will in turn make them doubt themselves, people around them and world they are living in. Children also need constant confirmation of love, safety and their place in life of their most important people - parents. If they find this confirmation to be conflicting or missing, in most cases, they will grow up to be insecure, low esteemed and rigid. This may also risk kids to be influenced by wrong people if they feel safer with that influence. And that is what exactly is happening with our little Suhana here. She is unable to predict people and life around her with living 7 years apart from her father not even knowing him, suddenly meeting him, constant drama in IN and Bose house, arguments and fights between her parents and bad influence by Golu who constantly makes her believe that all wrong doings he is teaching her are approved by her dad who she adores and so on.

I loved below dialogues of Dev: (I loved Shaheer's apt performance as a concerned parent in this scene)

Dev: "Mujhe Apane Liye Bura Nahi Lag Raha Hai Suhana Ki Chinta Ho Rahi Hai."

Dev: "Haan Maa. Tu Sahi Keh Rahi Hai. Maine Aur Sonakshi Ne Jo Suhana Se Vaada Kiya Hai Wo Hum Zaroor Puraa Karenge. Mai Sab Kuchh Karunga, Chahe Mujhe Khud Ko Kyun Na Badal Na Pade, Lekin Hum Wo Sab Kuchh Karenge Jo Hamane Suhana Se Waada Kiya Hai. Thank You Maa."

Both parents are responsible for good or bad in a child so definitely Dev is not at all to be blamed alone in this. Though, I loved how Dev accepted it as his mistake and how he is willing to do anything, even changing himself, which is totally against his character. I remember how he told Sonakshi in S1 that he will not change, not even for her. That shows his unconditional love and commitment for his child. I also loved how he said "Maine Aur Sonakshi Ne Jo Suhana Se Vaada Kiya Hai Wo Hum Zaroor Puraa Karenge." "Lekin Hum Wo Sab Kuchh Karenge Jo Hamane Suhana Se Waada Kiya Hai." When it was taking blame, he only included himself but for the plan of action to be taken, making decision for their child's wellbeing, it has to be done as one unit, one team - between both parents. That is our Dev Dixit, showing respect to Sonakshi as equal parent. Let's see Sonakshi's reaction to this and whether she accepts her responsibility in this matter. I hope and pray that her thoughts are aligned with Dev's and she works as a team, one unit - with him.

I am eagerly and excitedly interested in seeing how this situation will be handled.

Thanks.

First of all Sam 👏 for your wonderful post.

N its good to see your post Payal. Glad you have started sharing your thoughts in the thread.

I have read all the posts and felt very happy for you all, but somehow I am feeling a little disconnected. 😕

What i understood was that the track was about Dev's innate fear of losing his loved ones and abandonment issues. He wanted Sonakshi to express herself as he do. He needed to learn to trust himself, his loved ones and his fate. And for Sonakshi it was the time to open up and assure Dev.

But then it turned up into something else. I dunno from where, women empowerment, psycho behaviour, obsessive love, decision making right and last but not the least diff bw ma n biwi ka pyaar, come along.

The track started well with bus incident and it created a havoc in Dev's mind. It went off well initially but then turned into something else. He started following her, scheduling her meetings etc etc. N for Sonakshi it became an issue of decision making right.

Now the root cause was not at all addressed either by Dev or Sona. For me it was never a psycho or a women empowerment track, bcz i was viewing it from a very different angle. N it got drastically changed. Even if i try to understand how it proceeded by including other dimensions, but how it ended really took everything back.

Did Sonakshi understood Dev's issues or did he learned to trust. I dunno bcz i didn't got anything.

In Wednesday's episode, Sona's pov and Dev's dialogues were on point. Till then i understood what they were showing. But ish- sona and dev- ish convo went off my head completely. How the issue was taken to ma vs biwi wala pyaar. Of course its different and it was not even issue, but mas made. Sona's example of kaala paani and then Ishu telling Dev that sonakshi's happiness is with Dev only and he understanding everything were little off for me. I didn't get their point actually. May be bcz i didn't get the point of this track or was left unanswered. 😕

Then yesterday it was all fine between them n i doubt they will ever discuss about the core issue of the problem again. Its like brushing under the carpet, be it Sona's openness or Dev's fears.

N in precap i can see Dev's fear making him slap Vicky. No one dare to hurt my family n if u do i will rip u apart, that's what he is doing and he has always done.

@Charu: I honestly don't think any of the issues were totally solved, but as Ishwari suggested, they just changed the mahaul, because they weren't getting anywhere at loggerheads with one another. That said, neither of them had dropped their respective issues and you could see that in the snark they kept throwing each other's way. Dev called her a know-it-all and told the waiter it was "do what my wife wants day" and Sona gave that dessert pravachan and asked that super-awkward question about his swag and dating other people. The way I see it, they just called a truce.

That said, there were some non-verbal moments that me smile (these CVs will never get Sona to accept her flaws verbally) -- when she first saw that Dev was following her, it was like Sona fell in love all over again. Here is a man who will drive you up the wall with his antics, but will always be two steps behind you, even in the middle of one of your worst fights, to open your umbrella and make sure you have shelter. Like Ishwari said, they aren't going to like every single thing about each other, and it's natural that they drive each other crazy as they figure out their differences -- what's important is that they make sure to remember exactly why they love each other so much.

I would also like to add my two cents on Soha. I think her behaviour comes from the fact that she, unlike Golu, is unable to handle the pressure of lying. I honestly don't see it as a direct result of Devakshi's fight. She wants to be there for Golu, but she is cracking under the stress of having to go against her basic personality, and it's coming out as anger against anyone who questions her. Soha had plans of how to handle this -- she was keeping track of all her mistakes to atone later -- and I think her ego is also bruised by the dressing down Sona gave her in front of everyone. Vicky also has a lot to do with this -- if kids get contraband fun, then the parent's system of give and take doesn't work anymore and their authority is compromised. That is precisely what Vicky is causing, and one of the many reasons the slap in the precap makes complete sense to me, even if it isn't the ideal thing for Soha and Golu to witness.
