Hi folks! 😳 How have you been? Sorry for my long and unexpected absence, especially after writing about holding on... I have been down with really bad viral fever all this while. Now I am much better... I feel so bad about not being able to fulfill my analysis promise.
Amazing analysis Charu and Sam. And I am so happy to see Shaavi back. 😊
The only thing that touched my heart yesterday in a way no other scene could was Dev-Golu scene. I just could take my eyes off the adorable duo of Chacha-bhatija. (I don't mean other scenes did not, but this one did the most...)
I am feeling really worried seeing Vicky at his current state. And the actor playing Vicky is really doing a great job. 👏
The problem is that Vicky always seeks validation of his capability or importance in comparison to his brother. Such comparisons are of no use, because everyone has their own role in the family, nobody can take anybody's place, no matter what.
Vicky is getting confused with his motive: between using Dev's love for Golu to get his property and being more important to Golu than Dev. Whenever he says that he handled everything, had been a support for the last 7 years when Dev and Ishwari were broken, he easily forgets his role (and his mom's) in bringing that misery to their doorstep, and a thousand more misdeeds to keep them at their misery.
A thin line between truth and false, right and wrong in his mind is slowly getting blurred (even hazier than before). One should note that when a lie is repeated 100 times, one starts believing it as a stated truth. Till the time Dev was in misery, Vicky took undue advantage of him. Now when Dev is relatively settled, Vicky is starting to feel that Dev is unfair and he is a victim of circumstances. I see Vicky gradually reliving Ishwari's obsession for her son and if Elena separates from him, he would relive Dev's pain of the last 7 years. It would be interesting to watch RR and Mamji's stance in the entire journey.
Even though I love Mamaji, I too somewhere feel if Mamaji were more attentive and compassionate dad to Vicky, instead of just berating him for his mistakes or constantly comparing him with his cousin, then Vicky would have been at par with Dev. He would have learnt healthy competition. For Vicky, his dad's opinion matters a lot; and his constantly calling Vicky "nikamma" and constant comparison to Dev, has left a deep mark on him; so deep that he still measures his success in that scale - his Dev bhai.
At this juncture, I remember the portion of Pride and Prejudice where Mr. Bennet realizes what kind of husband he had been and what kind of father he had been to his daughters, except to his two eldest daughters.
The memories of Nirbhaya's case just haunted me back with yesterday's Sonakshi's scenes. I did not want to know what would have happened if Dev did not come in time. I think those guys were trying to get uncomfortably close in the pretext of getting down. Like many, I too felt Sonakshi acted somewhat foolishly. Also, it makes me realize the importance of learning self defense - for both boys and girls. Boys too, because what would have happened if anyone of those guys were armed, with gun or knife? (And ye Delhi mein possible h) The situation is potentially unsafe for both boys and girls.
No, not for Dev Dixit.. wo to Superman h 😉😊
BTW, did I share my mom's hilarious reaction to the new haircut? She was like ajkal ke bacche baal bhi adha adhura katwa ke aate hai 😆😆
