Mahua, One of the specialties of KRPKAB is the names of the characters. Each name has been selected with care. Ishwari is one letter more than God and she did indeed think herself to be god. Dev(Devrath) who was like Bheeshma who gave up his life for his family, Sonakshi who is gold, Bijoy who loves winning, Asha the hope,
suhana -- pleasing
soha -- star
neha -- one who is loved
riya -- rich and graceful
arohi -- ascending
Ronak --light of Dev's life
Nikki -- victory
Laksh -- The Destination

Laksh is kind of the mirror image of Dev. If Dev got lots of love from his mom, it is shown that Laksh was not so lucky. That he didn't get that kind of care from his family. Dev had the guidance of his mother which helped him to learn the values, but Laksh had to do things on his own. While Dev is all about family, Laksh craves that. Laksh is also a self made man similar to Dev. Both have built what they have on their own. Both recognize the importance of hard work and don't hesitate to take risks or follow their dreams.

Ishwari wanted to be that person in Dev's life to whom he always came for counsel. But with Sonakshi coming to his life, she feels he no longer needs her. And in a way it is true too, that Sonakshi can fill the position of Dev's counsel to certain extent. But Laksh needs Ishwari's guidance more. And I feel he is her destination. That he will be Ishwari's purpose to quite a certain extent. The reason why Laksh doesn't believe in marriage is because of what he has seen growing up. As per precap he will stay in IN. With the love and the support and understanding he sees there, it will help him to regain what he has lost, what he once wanted from his own family. Ishwari will become that counsel to Laksh and become the same person she is for Dev. i.e "maa".

I am really enjoying this series now that Dev is back. 😃

Oh thta name thing Shaavi hmm I was only aware of Dev Sonakahi Ishwari's name significance but you included others as well so thats interesting..Thank you

Hmm You know what you are saying I had similar thoughts till last week basically before this spoiler of Nikki Lakshay relationship getting revealed in front of Ishwar..I too had very synonymous thoughts..Why Ishwari will be significant in Lakshy's life..I was imagining a bit of different scenario I felt She will bring back his faith in family parents mothr brother by interacting with him just as her boss and not as Nikki's mothr offcourse..This will help him contact his family again and reunite with them..It would have instilled his belief in marriage again..Apparently makers decided to bring this truth out in front of Ishwari before this relationship could develop further..I wanted Ishwari Lakshay's bond to grow as strangers rather then future SIL or MIL..

Also Shaavi instead of finding mothr in Ishwari I would prefer him connect back to his own..No it doenst mean he shouldn't refer or consider Ishwari as one but its much better to see him love his parents again

As about Lakshay as indivisual ..til lnow and I believe in future as well he will emerge as an interesting characater..He looks much mature and intense for his age..and probably opposite to what Nikki as a person is..Thier is definitely a contrasting difference between both and thats why they fit in each other's lives so well..Like you said He is mirror image of Dev is some ways not FULLY..He is self made boy..Had courage to start his own business..has achieved quite a bit..I want to still see his character more to confidently compare him with Dev..I always get little uhh dicey about him like today also something wasnt making me praise him like others..He was almost picture perfect today..giving right suggestions and explanations to Nikki..Having such a sensitive interaction with Ishwari..but a little bit of scope I have left to reach a level where I can trust him completely..Till then I will keep testing and scrutinizing him closely

No offense MY POV

PS Thank you for replying and you better be active like before here..This thread misses you

In fact the more I think about it, devakshi's marital status ki uljhan was introduced for this very reason. Like Sam said a few days back. When two people love each other, ishwari asks, why won't they marry. Well, because love and marriage are two different things. Bravo makers. Well done👏
Mahua, take your time. Do share your thoughts

He had been liberated before that but the difference being him set free in front of the whole family (including the sisters) by his own mother who burdened him in the first place because of her circumstances. Ishwari made each and every person responsible for their actions and choices in life. There was no Dev Dixit an irresponsible brother or Ishwari Dixit a bad mother or Sonakshi a failed DIL of the Dixit family to hide behind. Each and every person was asked to own up their responsibility in choosing the path of least resistance most favorable to them when the family was facing an unfavorable tide. The love and favoritism that Ishwari showed Dev also came with a mountain of responsibilities including the emotional wellbeing of the family as a whole. My making him responsible for others he lost the right to his own emotions and made him so guilt ridden for each and every wrong things happening in his family. Yesterday Ishwari set him free.

To continue the benaam rishta vs. shaadi discussion, two things from Devkashi's conversation really made sense yesterday: 1. believing in marriage is like believing in God, and 2. marriage is the union of two families as well as two individuals.

The first one made so much sense as a way to explain this whole conflict. For someone who follows an organised religion, for example, there is usually one specific way to go through life, as defined by their holy texts or doctrines. You follow these things, often without question, because you believe that there is a higher power who is either pleased/appeased by these rituals, and at the same time, you build a relationship with that higher power through the performance of these rituals. Without that implicit faith in a higher power, rituals feel silly or meaningless -- very much as they did to Dev when he had turned away from God. Marriage is regarded in a similar light. The same way people say, bhagwan sab theek kardenge, they also believe in "ek baar shaadi ho jaane do, phir sab thik hoga." Some people have this faith in the institution of marriage itself, and for them, marrriage is not just the relationship between two people, but a spiritual/legal bond that is forged with god(s)/law as witness.

Ishwari is a prime example of someone with this belief. During the first family portrait, she and Dev clashed on whether Sona should or should not be present for this very reason. Ishwari believed that until they were married, their relationship hadn't truly formed, and could therefore be broken easily without much damage to either party. Before she understood the true nature of Dev and Sona's relationship (after the Khatri saga), she was equally apalled that Sona had dared to walk out of her marriage, once it had happened. She was proven wrong on both counts by Devakshi's love for each other, which is something she didn't factor in to her idea of marriage. For the older generation, love is often a destructive transgression, not something that leads to successful partnerships, but it was that love that both of them answered to more than the commitment of marriage.

That said, Dev had a point too; the commitment they made when they got married played a huge role in their reunion. Despite being apart for so long, Sona exercised her rights as the DIL in the Khatri matter and risked her own life to get to the truth and clear Ishwari's name. Ishwari realised then that Sona gave much more credit to the label of "wife" and the commitment of marriage than she had assumed all this time. It was because Sona had explicitly given that label of "husband" to Dev that she could stand up to her family and refuse to remarry. That label is probably what prevented Sona from doing with Jatin what she had done with Ritwick. Same with Dev. No matter how many girlfriends he had, there was a huge, and consciously maintained, difference between their place and Sona's. As he told her when she wanted him to remarry, he wouldn't give that place to anyone else. It's true that marriage didn't make them totally mistake-proof, but it is also true that it prevented them from making certain mistakes that would have made their eventual reunion impossible.

It was quite interesting to see the role reversal between Dev and Sona. In early S1, Sona was the one who pushed Dev to share their relationship with their families and give it a label, while he preferred to keep it secret for as long as possible, enjoying their own little world with just the two of them in it. The fact that in yesterday's conversation, Dev was advocating for traditional marriage while Sona was questioning it in favour of love and communication being more important than a formal agreement, shows that they have each walked a mile in each other's shoes and learned to see the other side of the coin. Dev realised how helpful the web of relationships can be if you have support from them, and Sona realised the dangers of standing too much on principle and not giving your feelings a chance. And as DQ mentioned, it ties in beautifully with their reluctance to go through the rasams again at Ishwari's request. As Sona told her, they want to really mean them this time.

It's no different with Nikki and Lakshya. They want to be in a relationship where they are together in a mindful way, and not because of a commitment they take for granted as permanent. And that is another important perspective through which to view their choice; they want to make the choice to be together every day and do justice to that choice everyday. The uncertainty that comes with a relationship out of wedlock can also work as a reminder to work for your relationship consistently. I don't know about Lakshya's background well enough, but in the marriages Nikki has seen, people took that commitment for granted and as a result, took their partners for granted, and families played a huge role in this. All Nikki and Lakshya are trying to do, as two mature adults, is construct the kind of relationship they feel would be most respectful and nurturing of their love. At this point, from what they have seen, marriage is just not that.

Definitely Sam.. I dont fully understand Laksh's reasons for the reluctance. However, we know why Nikki would feel like it.. Her mother brought them ashore without a partner. His brother and his wife broke a marriage when their love was something Nikki idealized. Her eldest sister had to break a marriage before entering another potentially sane marriage. Her 2nd sister almost tripped and waa about to marry a very greedy man. Her mama and mami don't have a great marriage. Her cousin and his wife seem to be just getting by too.

She was one of the first few people to notice how good Dev & Sonakshi were with one other. She even asked Sonakshi bhabhi if being married was what it looked like in the movies.

And now she is a beautiful committed relationship and she does not want to rock the boat.

I completely missed today's episode... Too busy chewing my nails and walking like a maniac, with my heart in my mouth, and cheering Roger Federer to win the match...

Thankfully, he did win and now, I can finally sigh in relief... Now, it all comes down to Sunday...

Even though, I missed the episode... I know that both of my predictions came true as well as I also came to know about the precap, courtesy my mother...

And, when, I came to IF... I also came to know about some exciting romantic, or to be more precise, some physical romantic moments were also present in today's episode...

Will watch the episode either online or the repeat telecast tomorrow... At this moment, I just want to go back to work on my pet projects or if lucky, also go back to bed early...

Anyways, this will be more or less, my last post this week... The possibility of me, writing some sort of... an opinion piece after watching today's episode is still there but don't count on it...

So, yeah... This is what I came to say...

Have a great and fulfilling weekend, ladies (and the few gentlemen who visit this thread).

Dev Sonakshi needs to learn to lock door and these well married grown up sisters needs to learn to knock it

Vicky's angle getting stronger..It left me uncomfortable and worried a bit..Him openly confessing his hatred..is now gonna alert Dev and I am looking forward to see his reactions and his point of view about it

Ishwari Lakshay Dev Sonakshi scene was a endearing scene..Oh for a change what I wanted actually happened (atleast today) ie Lakshay not staying in Dixit house..and he right said how much Nikki missed her family..Ishwari Lakshay bond is progressing gradually with Lakshay taking tiny miny steps towards her ..Infact another thing which I liked was Ishwari not getting completely brainwashed hearing Asha..So that was *thumbs up*..She got new direction to think..Fantastic..another praise worthy moment for me was Ishwari clearly stating she hasnt accepted them living together but has accepted their love..KUDOS to Ishwari Dixit for being so vocal and firm with her thoughts yet showing visible changes..Only KRPKAB can execute such sequence which are so meaningful and had ample to ponder on..Than you CVs

"NIL = Nikki Ishwari Lakshay"
WOW

Next a beautiful so heartwarming hug of siblings + Soankshi..it just gave such amazing fulfilling happiness inside..Original flavour essence of each character was visible in it <3 Applause worthy

Another super se bhi upar episode <3

PS Ok sorry don't kill me mods..I cant contain my excitement

Suyash he is in Finals ..OMG I cant believe it..I am gobsmacked :') My tears :')

This is my idea for the precap. I feel she is planning on starting fertility treatment and that is what she is hiding from Dev. She knows what Dev missed and she also knows that if she told Dev that she is going to do this, he will stop her. He will say it is not needed as they already have Suhana. He would definitely not want her to go through any pain. Even Ishwari will not say yes if Sonakshi revealed this.
This is just a guess of mine. Not intended to hurt anyone. 😊
