@ Geena

Very well articulated post.

Just one or two points I disagree with you

I don't see Iswari as a diplomat here. I feel she is right in entrusting the responsibility to her Bahu whom she welcomed with her whole heart unlike in S1 days.Seven years Iswari bore with Radha Rani's monopoly and dominance on her house. She was a mere spectator as she was helpless with her son also moving away from her. Doesn't she know the nature of Radha Rani? She knows her greed and lust that made her a permanent member of Iswari Nivas.

Infact Radha Rani never tried to hide her real self . The way she moves with tuns of gold on her body speaks volumes about her unquenched thirst for all these things. Iswari overlooked Radha Rani's minuses due to her animosity towards Sonakshi. But after realising Sona's reality Iswari's suppressed notions about Radha Rani saw the light in her heart. So when she got her Bahu back she wanted to make sure that the power reaches the worthiest person. I did not see any manipulation or diplomacy here,

Why should Radha Rani be credited with the title of caretaker of IN in seven years? Who lived there? Dev hardly came home. The daughters went off. Iswari shut herself in her room . So whom did RR look after? Her own family.her son,Bahu and her husband. While Vicky misutilised his position in the office RR enjoyed with the hard earned money of the Dixits.

Why is such a hue and cry for RR's hurt which is misplaced? Any one who is good at heart will appreciate Iswari's move but won't make a scene like she did. And Sona? Did she think atleast one minute before handing over the keys? Did she bother to ask Iswari's intention and her reluctance to continue RR in power? No. So Sona like behaviour.

Why can't Iswari remove power from RR and transfer that to Sona? She has every right to do so.Sona should have the courtesy to return the keys to Iswari the owner ,not to a caretaker . And I repeat RR is not a caretaker in real sense. Iswari knows it Sona knows it.

Here keys doesn't merely mean a bunch of keys. It is power that changed hands since seven years. May be Iswari tried to restore back that power but failed. It's ok if Sona is reluctant to take the keys but I genuinely feel she should have given them back to Iswari. Who knows? May be Iswari would have kept them for time being till Sona gets ready to take them back.

I feel sad for Iswari . Her noble intention also is getting targeted. RR is luckier despite lusting for that which doesn't belong to her,she is shown compassion..

Another point Dev came to Iswari to thank her. My daughter when she is extremely happy drenches me with her I love you mummy messages. It happens when I do something she likes or even when she has some other reason to rejoice. Dev is the happiest man that day. In a way Iswari contributed to his happiness. So he came to say I love you maa in his own way. It is not mandatory. It is heartfelt.

Iswari did not expect to see Dev then neither did she crave to hear her praise. She is a changed person now. She proved it by taking Sona's move to return the keys in a positive way.

This is my point of view and I did not intend to hurt you. Let us agree to disagree . I am sure despite having difference in outlook we respect each other's views.

Another well crafted interpretation of 'chaavi Ka gucha'! This thread is getting better and better. Kudos.

Sam - lovely as always.
Timba- thanks for adding to my post. It makes sense.

The way Friday went, it was classic Dev 1.0 and sona 1.0 in many ways. He went you mummy dear... she went into rajnikaant mode. But look such wonderful outcomes. Because their families are supporting them. I like that. They remain true to their character. The people their lovers fell in love with. Yet now they succeed.

@Bold ..Charu..This I was trying to tell you yesterday..true to their char..thats why I enjoyed it actually

Lakshmi..our thought process is similar most of the time..i agree with your each point..
I felt that ishu needed to tell gkb about the key handing over thing previously.but i dnt think she had any bad intention in it..gkb felt bad for losing the authority, not because ishu did bad with her..even if ishwari told her earlier, gkb would cry like this...i wud have supported her if she worried only abt ishwari's behaviour..so no sympathy from my side..
And wat sona thought was right..but as the mistake was done by ishwari, it wud be appropriate to give ishwari the chance to rectify it...sona might not have intended to appease gkb, but for correcting the wrong, she also chose the wrong path..i kind of felt it wierd...as a result, finally, it looked like sona cared for gkb's feelings only, but not ishwari's..
Just my pov...not offending anyone's pov..and im not saying i am right...

When I said diplomatic, I just meant the hug. Actually I was really excited seeing the hug. It told me that my Ishwari is very much alive there. GKB will be putty in her hands😆

" Eid Mubarak everyone". We have three days holiday here. Won't be very active. Take care everyone. Bye for now.

Geena

I understood your context. But I am referring to the terms that are generally associated with Iswari and said I did not see any such hint.

Eid Mubarak to you also. Enjoy your holidays.

Hi all,

Eid Mubarak and Shubh Rath Yatra.. 🤗

The episodes of the week had taken me on a complete emotional ride. Sorry I couldn't participate much, due to my work commitments. But I have read your posts and I absolutely loved each one of them.

The much awaited reunion of Dev and Sona took place. Dev couldn't believe it actually happened and Sona couldn't keep herself from feeling her right over him. It is good they didn't rush into marriage as they too need time to understand and blossom their relationship. The initial hestitation is very naturally portrayed, but hopefully they would soon overcome it as they leave behind their 'saat saal ki dooriyaan'.

It should be noted how Dev and Sona wanted to reach out to each other at the same time and couldn't communicate as a result (The telephonic conversation after confession). I wonder if something of this sort happened in those 7 years.

I loved how the topic of Sonakshi's emails cropped up naturally between Dev and her. On one hand, Dev wanted to live her past, feel her pain, wanted her tears to flow through his eyes, much like how it happened symbolically when Sonakshi's tears fell on Dev's photograph; while Sona was sitting at the heart of her favorite place and deleting her unfavorable memories and pain. I absolutely loved those scenes ❤️ (which means I cried buckets 😆) - well written, directed and acted.👏

I am really curious about Dev's past because it is so NOT Dev, to know that he has done something wrong and do absolutely nothing to make things better. That too for 7 long years. I still remember these dialogues from Season 1:

'Please. Please, Ms. Bose... Mai jaanta hu, jo maine kiya wo galat h. Aur mujhe sorry bhi thik se bolna nhi aata... Aap meri wajah se naraz h, aur ye baat mujhe bhot pareshan kar rhi h. Ap please yeh accept kar lijiye; uske baad kya karna h, kya kehna h, mujhe wo bhi nhi pata. Ap jaise kahengi, mai waise hi karunga. But please yeh accept kar lijiye. Please.'

and I can't digest the fact that Dev could behave like this. I feel there is more to this story, what we see is only tip of the iceberg. I hope whatever it is, it is convincing enough, not like how they dealt with Dev-Sona's divorce. I understand the symbolism (beautiful post Grace 👏) but my left brain needs more logical clarification.

I had once compared Dev's behavior as a Casanova to that of Sultan Schahriar of The Arabian Nights in an old post of mine. As per the story, Sultan Schahriar, was a just and kind king and loved his Sultana unconditionally; until one day he found her cheating on him (Well, Sona didn't cheat on Dev. But according to him, she and Ishwari broke his faith in love). It shattered the Sultan and he lost his faith in love. Everyday he brought a new bride and put her to death the very next morning. Then the Wazir's wise daughter Scheherazade married him, narrated to him the famous tales and changed his life forever.

Here Suhana can be compared with Schehrazade, who changed Dev's life forever after he realized he was father to his tiny Sonakshi. He now realizes that love indeed exists, but not in the rose-tinted form.

Another comparison came up in my mind - Tandava dance by Mahadev with Sati's dead body on His shoulder. The immense grief over dead love, loss of all hope and subsequent renouncement of the entire world and its responsibilities.

But here is a gentle reminder that Sona was still living, but in another city. I wonder why Dev did not view it as a glimmer of hope. (And a part of Dev accompanied Sona in her journey, which he did not know about).

I always have this question in me. Why Sona did not contact Dev and tell about Suhana with the same willpower with which she searched for Khatri (and Dev later on) or the family who Ishwari stole from? Also, if Dev could go to visit Suhana's birth hospital at Kolkata in an instant, why did he not try to contact Sonakshi in her birth city after she left? Or did he also go chup-chup ke, felt hurt seeing Jatin around and came back?

I loved the scene where Sonakshi falls asleep on Dev's shoulder. It's like somebody returned home after a long strenuous day and fell asleep the instant they hit the bed. It also reminds me of the line from Dev's indirect confession "aath ghante ki sukoon ki neend".

I liked how Sonakshi returned the keys to GKB (BTW, GKB started to address herself as GKB and not Ex-GKB). And I somewhat agree with Sam, Shaavi and others in this point. It is good she discussed with Dev. In any case, she should have discussed it with Ishwari also before acting upon her thoughts rather than taking seemingly autonomous decision. It is good that Ishwari opened her heart and said she should have discussed with her, instead of behaving like before. The gates of relationships have been opened fully, now it is up to Sonakshi to maintain them.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to add this.

I really loved the cute conversation between Suhana and Dev during the grihapravesh. Looks like another Bijoy Bose is in making 😆 Poor Soha's future husband 😆. Bijoy is a warm person to anyone who would not harm his family. I think Bijoy-Dev bond is going to be one of the best bonds in the show.

It was a lovely, interesting and emotional week. Looking forward to another interesting week 😊 (and lots of answers).

Unless the makers change the dates yet again!

@Bold: I think Dev was 28 at the time of separation. He said during confession "27 saal pehle mai yaha paida hua tha".. Then after marriage Dev celebrated his birthday, then they got separated. Nikki is not more than 8 years younger to Dev. So, at the time of break up, she was at least 20 year old. Now she must be at least 27 year old.

Of course, unless makers change the date again!
