Bijoy is only sending her to attend the wedding.. nothing else.. i am pretty sure. From his expression it is not about agreeing for renewal of their relationship... He is one hell of a nut to crack and Dev will have to do a lot going forward.

But Geena, isn't Bijoy himself the "author" of the "catastrophe" that befell them. Isn't he the one responsible for his daughters broken heart and trust. Why I say that is Dev and Sonakshi's marriage broke after the 5 cs fiasco. But Bijoy is the creator of that fiasco when he advised his daughter who was "Dev's wife" to hide the fact that she was planning to open a company from her "husband". Did Bijoy think even for a minute that Sonakshi cannot become the owner, CEO or MD without her husband knowing about it. Especially since her husband is a famous businessman in the same city and is well known to all the banks, loan managers and investors. This destruction of Sonakshi's marriage was started by Bijoy on "bhaidhooj" which was way before Dev's birthday fiasco or the wardrobe fiasco or any of those things that followed. Dev lied because of Sonakshi hiding things from him. He felt it was urgent that Sonakshi and Ishwari bonded so that Sonakshi can start telling the truth and not go by her fathers advice. But when that "adviser" cared only about his pride and ego and not about his own daughters happiness there was very little he could do.

If Bijoy who preaches truth and honesty had not told his daughter to lie, Dev and Sonakshi would have been happily married. But Bijoy never wanted that. For him his pride and ego was more important than his daughter following her dreams and making them come true. All the insults and devestation that happened was because of Bijoy's blindness regarding himself. He thought himself so morally superior that he failed to see what he was doing or what the consequences of his words and actions can be. It is not that Sonakshi looses her senses when it comes to Dev, it is Bijoy. He lets his hatred blind him to the extent where he ends up hurting his own family, but because of his double standards ends up blaming Dev. Whatever pain, hurt and any of those feelings that Sonakshi is going through today is because of Bijoy and not Dev.
