It was an interesting week in krp land. Destiny has unleashed the truth and has set in motion the protagonists journey to freedom from the self-made shackles binding them.
All her life post the theft Ishwari had been running away from the reality. She was scared of losing the love and faith her son had in her. She fell short of her own ideals as a human being when she stole from her meimsahib who gave her a job, who trusted her with her household who treated her with compassion. Because she didn't stole for basic necessities of her children like food, clothes or even shelter but for her ambition. Her brother and SIL were aware that the school fees had not been paid for 6 months and that Dev was on the verge of getting expelled from the expensive school. But they ignored it because 1) she didn't ask for help 2) They figured that it was a luxury that she could live without since Dev could have studied in a government school too along with her other kids which wouldn't have burdened her to this extend. But she was unable to face her own reality and diminished her identity to being just Dev's mother because she went against her core values for Dev with the hope that her family along with her other kids would eventually benefit from this. It was a gamble or more like putting all your eggs in a single basket. The only thing that helped her in assuaging her guilt was Dev's success because her wrong deed became the right gift for them.
The more Dev worshipped and praised his mother for being the one behind his success the more insecure she became because she felt unworthy. She felt threatened by anyone who will have an influence on Dev. Sonakshi was everything Ishwari aspired to be, while she felt herself hollow and fake and was threatened by her goodness and also the level of influence she had on Dev. The fighter in her who singlehandedly fought and brought her family out of poverty also fought for her position in her son's life which had become her only identity. If she exploited her memsahib's trust to fight an adverse condition even going against her own values, here she exploited RR's dislike for Sona to maintain her image and position in her son's life. Accepting that Sona is the punishment for her sins helped her in validating her stance of fighting Sona at every juncture. It helped her in not looking closely at herself and her irrational behavior when she had already accepted that Sona was a good girl before she knew of Dev's involvement with her.
It was important that Sona herself played that part in relieving Ishwari of this burden of guilt which she had been carrying for years because now she is forced to accept that Sona is not her punishment. But she is still running away from her demons wrt the part she played in separating Dev and Sona. She is guilty of using RR and knows that RR knows this. So she is playing her part of submitting to RR's decisions and making her believe that she hasn't accepted the Boses in her heart. RR doesn't know that she is playing with a pro. Ishwari will let her expose herself.
Khathri became arrogant over the years because of his success in hood winking both Ishwari and Malthi. Even though he feared Dev he also took him as an emotional fool when it comes to his mother and was not worried much about getting exposed. He had little or no respect for women or their intelligence and that led to his unabashed confession of his fraud to Sonakshi. But Sona was not emotionally involved in this, so could take unbiased decisions and also was not working alone to fall prey to his threats. This led to his eventual exposure.
Malthi was a compassionate woman who gave an opportunity to a widow to bring her kids up with dignity by giving her a job even though she herself was in a middle class family. It was lovely to see that even though her experiences turned her bitter she didn't lose her ability to empathize with someone who had betrayed her trust. Though she didn't hesitate in tearing Ishwari's mask in front of Dev exposing her crime and pulling her down from her pedestal she regretted that she played a part in almost killing her, a crime she herself accused Ishwari of since she lost her husband in the aftermath of the theft. Khathri's reality made her realize that she was not completely wrong in her assessment of Ishwari and the need for compassion and humanity. Though Ishwari wronged her, it was her own error in judgment that allowed the prolonged suffering of her family and falling prey to being a puppet to the real culprit. She was thankful that fate was not that cruel to have Ishwari's blood on her hands. Her journey as a widow having to fight for the survival of her family helped her in empathizing with Ishwari and by forgiving her she proved herself to be a better human being.
Now the three protagonists are standing at a point where the past doesn't matter. They cannot hide from themselves anymore. They are embarking on a new journey and will be forced to retrospect with or without the exposure of Tripati's. Excited for this new phase.

Fantabulous post Suyash!!!!!!!!...And for the same reason, you are not allowed to deprive us from such beautiful posts, at any cost. Just like Golu in the first post-leap episode blames Dev for him scoring less marks since Dev used to take him for rides & outings, same way you have spoiled us. So, now no turning back...Ok...😃Now, coming to the points I liked the most are points 2c & 2d. With adequate proofs & references you have validated your viewpoints on how Bijoy would have behaved if he had to face any of the situations Dev had faced and I totally agree with it...isaliye, meri taraf se a special 👏👏👏 for that. Also a special thank you for point 5, which for sure was like a breathe of fresh air to many of us.P.S. Adding to your detailed portrayal on how Dida stepped into her mother role, I had made another thread on how she was a perfect support to Asha in many ways. I am not sure whether you have read it. If not, here is the link for the same - https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/kuch-rang-pyar-ke-aise-bhi/4849668/cute-cool-and-confident-daadi

Finally I can relax . No danger from Kajal. " Dev Bhaiyya" So sweet to my ears. She really looked his sister age wise and otherwise. CVs proved they are against such predictable fare.marriage for gratitude etc.
Now Radha Rani's candidate should be shown the door. I hope Dev will do the needful. After a long time Dev's heartfelt smile is seen when Iswari called Sonakshi and made her accept the invitation.I hope Iswari would try her best to keep his smile intact.Dev never bothered to respond to RR. He ignores her by not reacting at all. So in the past also he just did that when she meddled in between and crossed limits. That doesn't mean he has no guts to keep her in her place. Sonakshi also did the same. She also stopped giving importance to her nonsensical words.Waiting for the picnic phase that I very much desired to see. Just light hearted fun is the need of the hour. Third angles and fourth angles can wait.Lakshmi

No no Charu. It is just my wish which I expressed last week here. I want some light hearted romantic moments and felt Dev Sona and the kids should go somewhere and enjoy. Of late too much heavy drama continued. I needed break.
Same here Laxmi, that bhaiya was like music to my ears. I was like chalo one wicket down. 😆Which picnic are u talking about? There is some spoiler that i missed. o.O

@Suyash you deserve all the applauds for your posts. They are so detailed and fabulous. 👏New week, new phase, new excitement ...I hope it all turns out to be interesting after a disappointing week(in my opinion and wrt all characters)...Looking forward to read everyone's take on this week's epis!
@red. if i may, the reason for Dev's gratitude in the way he expressed himself is twofold. The first one is their relationship. They might have been very closely related once upon a time, but right now their relationship is hanging by a thread in the name of Suhana. Apart from her, there is no real relationship between them. Sonakshi time and again has said that there is no possibility of any "rishta" between her and Dev. Also when Ishwari looks at her after Malati leaves, her first comment is "the truth would have come out. Anybody would have done this if not me (meri jaga aur koi hota toh who bhi yehi kartha). Saying this she kind of indicated that she would have done for anybody and did not help specifically because it was Dixits. The other reason is the core character of Dev. Ishwari has taught him to feel grateful when someone helps them. In the initial episodes after Sonakshi helps Ishwari when she faints in the market and takes her to the hospital, Dev is thankful. he finds her home address, comes there and tells that his mother has taught him to give thanks to the person who helped them. Even when she first goes to IN and Ishwari is waiting for the doctor and sees Sonakshi, she first thanks her for her help, then asks Dev if he thanked her too. At any time whenever Sonakshi did anything Dev has the habit of thanking her. This time he knew what this help meant to his mother, to be relieved of the guilt that she has been carrying around for so long.Hence although it looks ott, it is with the flow and the way Dev is. Just my pov. Not intended to hurt anyone.
