*Season 2, Week 19* Analysis Thread - Page 23

I am sure everyone is wondering what happened to Ishwari... why has she changed so much over night... are they true feelings or is she faking it ?

So i wanted to share my thoughts and would like to hear what you think the reason for such a drastic change...

First of all, Ishwari never had any problem with Sonakshi as an individual. She always thought sona is a very good girl and infact too good..that she was scared in S1 that Dev will get pulled towards Sona's goodness and will drift away from his mom one day (the day the truth about theft comes out or the day he realizes that ishwari is just a regular mom and no godess or the day when he will face certain circumstances where he will have to choose Sona/Boses vs Ishu/Dixits).

Though out S1 and 7 years, she kept on blaming Sonakshi for things that all the three are responsible for.. in one way or the other.. Majority of the issues being on dixits side.

Now with this khatri track two things happened ...

1. Dev finally trusts Sonakshi with Ishwari.. He now completely believes that Sonakshi will never do anything to hurt or make Ishwari look bad intentionally. He now believes that Sonakshi actually cares for Ishwari as much as he cares for his mom.

2. He also realized that his mom has flaws too and can get carried away with personal emotions and end up hurting people around her. So, he no longer believes his mom is GOD. but he respects and loves her like a mom who struggled through out majority of her life to provide for the family.

Now coming to the changes in Ishwari...

Ishwari in hospital appreciated sonakshi's efforts but was not willing to accept her back into her life as Dev's love interest ... just yet.
She accepted openly after 7 yrs, that Sonakshi is good girl but is just different from Dixits ... where family ties are given more importance over what is the right thing to do. Ishwari saw that Sonakshi can still respect family ties while trying to be righteous in her own way. She also realized that it was sonakshi who pushed Dev to talk to her after the whole khatri incident and she infact acted as that bridge between mom-son to open the communication lines and talk about the whole incident. So, for ishwari... she can now rest in peace that Sona will not do anything to separate dev from Ishu.physically or emotionally.. if she wanted she would have done it now,,, after the fact that ishwari is a thief came out...so that takes care of her insecurity (atleast for the time being).

Now, secondly.. Dev stopped acting like sonakshi is his guilty pleasure.. and he openly spoke with Ishwari about inviting Boses for dinner and his want to express gratitude... So Dev basically said that Sonakshi and Boses are also very important for him in his life and was very expressive about it. He also made sure ishwari herself invites them for dinner... This is what we/Sona expected from Dev in S1... be open and say truth and be open infront of his mom.

So given that Ishwari now understands that Sonakshi/Bose family is very important for Dev (Dev's khushi) and also that sonakshi's heroic efforts having put her insecurities to rest (atleast for now... i have my doubts that they will make an appearance again in future after Devakshi reunion)... also listening to Dev and sonakshi's conversation that Dev failed to build that bridge between sona-ish in S1 and he wont let it happen again with Soha... he will do everything to build a bridge between to two families and make sure soha is happy...

So Ishwari has all the reasons to be happy, and supportive of devakshi... Besides ... known devil (sonakshi) is better than unknown ally (arti).

Also, I liked how ishwari reinforced that GKB should call sonakshi and not bangalan... So this is the domino effect ... Dev showing the importance of sonakshi in his life ---> Made ishwari tell GKB to respect sonakshi..

I also liked how Dev stressed the fact that he really liked Ishwari stopping GKB and taking a stand for Sonakshi... This will positively reinforce ishwari to do the right thing and not get carried away by GKB's BS. He also made sure to make Ishwari understand the importance of Sonakshi and Soha in both Dev and Ishu's lives.

The camera froze on her smile today. A smile of joy, a smile of understanding, a smile of finally having found the lost diamond who is the only right 'fit' into the Dixit family, a smile of a winner, a smile of acceptance. Ishwari's face looked content with a triumph that her 'bahu' has learnt to 'manage' the manipulative XGKB. 😃

The convo between Ishwari and Dev was also enacted very well. The son finally saw and heard what he wanted all those years. Ishwari admitted that she could have done better as a MIL. The timing was beautiful and the scene well shot. I am not one for extreme emotions and tear jerkers. This one was subtle but revealed the heart of two lost souls who had finally found some solace! Suhana had indeed brought the light in their lives.

And the villian (subtle!) has finally changed. Pre-leap if Ishwari was the nosey one, Bijoy takes complete credit post leap. He just won't let it happen, will he? 😃 And Jotin's absence was explained!!! The poor fella!!!

After watching today's episode I am so happy.

@Narshi, I am thinking about Asha's comment to Ishwari yesterday. Asha said "mujhe kushi hai ki meri beti aapke kisi kaam aayi". Asha has seen her daughter hurt by Dev and his family. She was also there when she saw Bijoy getting slapped or when they were evicted. She has also seen the struggle her daughter has experienced in the last 7 years. Shouldn't she be upset with Ishwari. Yet she said the above dialogue to Ishwari. That is where I am trying to make sense of my understanding. Is Asha saying this because she realizes the hurt and pain caused by Sonakshi or is there some other reason for these words. What is Asha's thought process behind these words.
