"People find it far easier to forgive others for being wrong than being right" Thanks Geena for this wonderful quote, this has been playing in mind for quite long. When Katri was introduced I had silent wish to the PH and CV, "PL DON'T SHOW ANY ILLICIT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIM AND ISHWARI" because that will be demeaning the efforts of a young widow who has fought with all odds to give a respectable future for her offspring. Indian Tele series are flooded with such indecent proposals. Let KRPKAB be unique. And CVs for a change granted my wish and they showed "theft" as the reason for the age old blackmail drama. (Since we have dissected and evaluated the associated rights and wrongs of theft, I am not going into those details.) In my opinion, the above quote elucidate why Ishwari could never accept Sonakshi at the same time whole- heatedly accept RR and her misdemeanor. In the light of her hidden crime, Ishwari must have been always under guilt and it got deepened as she was unable to share her inner turmoil with anyone. On top of that whenever people within and outside family appreciated her for single handedly uplifting the family's condition that would have aggravated her inner mayhem. Moreover her son showered her with his incessant adoration, her guilt would have penetrated deeper and her heart would have powdered and her insecurities into hard rocky layers. Because the biggest punishment to anyone is undue appreciation which you derive which you don't deserve. Having RR in her life gave her some sort of comfort and helped her to free her from guilt, because she was comparing herself with a lesser mortal like RR who was with all vices. She never controlled RR because it was her own way of mollifying herself that what she did was circumstantial and she has committed a crime only once where as people like RR are there who are worse than her. So it was easier for her to forgive RR for being wrong. She could forgive RR when she stole money from her purse and I can now relate to her gingerly reaction because she must have been comparing her condition with RR's. Then Sonakshi entered into their life. Being a shrewd person she could understand the goodness in Sonakshi. She saw in Sonakshi all qualities what she would have liked to see in her daughters. And she knew that Sonakshi is the perfect choice for a noble soul like Dev. But her deep-rooted insecurities and the guilt in her never allowed her to accept Sonakshi. She knew that in course of time Dev would lean to Sonakshi and her place in his life will be replaced by Sonakshi. This is where she went wrong because her hidden guilt and insecurities prevented her to think rationally and assure that her son and DiL have genuine love for her. So whenever Sonakshi faltered or trembled in her new relationships, Ishwari found it difficult to forgive her inspite of knowing that Sonakshi is right and her intentions are noble. Her own daughter left her sasural because her husband was reluctant to live separately. As a sparkling contrast Sonakshi happily shared Dev with his family members and her gestures towards the family members demonstrated her sacrificing and sharing nature. She knew the magnanimity of Sonakshi but was unwilling to forgive or correct her when she faltered. What she held against sonakshi were all empty defenses to cover her guilt and insecurities. This is what she explicitly stated to RR, sonakshi is different from us but she is good. So sonakshi' s goodness prevented Ishwari to forgive her where as it was easier for her to forgive RR for her vices.

And, the same applies to you @Sam for your interpretation of Sona's choice of dress for the dinner at the Dixits... And, how could I forget your amazing interpretation of Dev finally embracing the role of 'driver' in his and Sona's relationship...
Both of you really blow my mind away...The only explanation that comes to my mind is the obsession that women have with clothes and fashion... Not judging, just commenting...And, can I ask both of you a question?? It will sound eerily similar to Dev's question to Sona, 'Do you really try to decode everyone's inner psyche by observing their clothes or are Dev and Sonakshi an exception??'
