It might seem that Dev is going back to worshiping Ishwari or falling trap to her blackmail. But I don't feel it is that. I feel Dev will be honest with Ishwari and tell her the terms and conditions of his marriage and what she can expect from it. As to Suhana, he will continue to love her and be there for her. Something which he has been doing even without Sonakshi in the picture between them. He has developed a bond with Suhana outside of Sonakshi. He will continue that bond even after marriage.

In all this only Sonakshi can make things right by accepting her true feelings and then act upon them. But hey I am all for Sona's deewangi. Waiting eagerly for that for quite sometime now. 🤪 🤪

@bold. I'm not totally for Dev agreeing to marry someone else when he is in love with Sonakshi (I think that would go against his character and the reason he refused to marry Natasha).

But I do want him to recognize this fact that he doesn't need Sonakshi to be happy. Maybe he won't have the happiest version of his life without Sonakshi... but he needs to be at peace with that and find other ways to be happy. The problem right now is that he has an unhealthy dependence on Sonakshi. I am sure it sounds romantic to Sonakshi that Dev 'needs' her but it will always prevent them from having a healthy relationship.

What you were saying in an earlier post that Dev has to sacrifice his happiness for the good of everyone. And that will make Ishwari realize that her happiness is not the same as Dev's happiness. For me, Dev's journey has to be about being self-sufficient.

@Sam, wonderful posts. 👏 . But after reading them, I have a doubt. Please help.

I agree that Saurabh and Bijoy were fighting over Sonakshi's happiness without her being there to tell what she wants. But so far I have not really seen Sonakshi tell "what she wants" in clear words. She has done that with Dev a few times, but most of the times she gives mixed information. Especially with Bijoy. Why is Bijoy so convinced that Sonakshi will not/cannot be happy with Dev. He says that Sonakshi was hurt when she was with Dev, but fails to acknowledge that she also had her happiest moments of life with him. With Sonakshi always looking for "perfect answer" to give for Bijoy's questions, hiding her true feelings and not taking Dev's help in any way, what will she do next. Already Bijoy has said that he will not let Sona be with Dev. She yet again decided to stay back at IN with the reason that Dev is not feeling well. If Bijoy says that is not your problem, they will take care of him, you come back, is Sonakshi ready to say "No".

More than hiding her feelings, I feel she is trying to runaway in the opposite direction from them. Given such a situation, what can trigger those feelings to come tumbling out, I mean accepting them or will she ever do that. Take responsibility for her actions and decisions when the result is less than ideal.

Thanks, Shaavi!

Honestly, your questions are my questions too, so I am not sure how much I can help but this is precisely why I think Ronita got it right. In the end, Sona's happiness is the mudda, and it is partly because she is so unclear that everyone tries to decide it for her based on the partial evidence they see/choose to see. At some point, she definitely has to take a stand without caring that it won't please everyone. Otherwise, I think she will continue to be used as a scapegoat in other people's battles.

I think at the moment, Sona feels like just about anything could trigger those feelings. That is why she is running to her ice-box where she will have plenty of help freezing what is heating up uncontrollably with all the not-so-subtle clues from Dev's eyes and words. 😉

After posting my last post yesterday, I went to sleep thinking that the amazing writers will finally break their silence and deliver something which will again send my brain into an overdrive...
But, due to my hectic work schedule, I was unable to check this thread all day.. Only after reaching back home (around 7 pm today), was I able to read all of your posts..

Usually, all of your posts leave my mind racing, but this time, your posts made me more amused, than anything else...

I am not saying that all of your posts were not good... Like always, they were well written and the thoughts were presented in a well-organised and structured manner...

The discussion regarding Saurabh's behavior and Bijoy's psyche was wonderfully explored and dissected... I absolutely loved it...

But, then I started reading the posts regarding the remarriage of Dev with someone else... And, while they were fascinating and interesting, I was more amused (and, some of them truly made me laugh out loud)...

I understand that yesterday's precap and spoilers has left all of us in the state of suspense and anticipation... But, that's what they are supposed to do... Even, I am excited for today's episode and eagerly waiting for it...

But, I have stopped taking them too seriously, since they only offer a glimpse and not the complete picture... And, I like to know the complete information before I start analysing things..

What makes me so amused, is not your posts, that, in all the noise that have been created by the more public events that has happened (since last week's episode where Dev confessed his inner feelings), all of us lost sight of the more subtle changes that has occurred in the relationship of Dev and Sona, as well as themselves..

I am not saying that the events that have been the focus in the last few episodes are not important... But, I also feel that unseen events or the aspects which has been overshadowed by the events happening that have been in the foreground, are equally important, if not more crucial for the story...

For me, this story is about Dev Dixit's and Sonakshi Bose's journey to become Devakshi...

And, in my opinion, they can only become Devakshi, if they first become Dev and Sonakshi... Only when they realise that Dev and Sonakshi are different from Dev Dixit and Sonakshi Bose, they can truly become Devakshi...

I wish that I could elaborate on the point more but considering how less of a time is remaining in the airing of this episode, I feel that I will elaborate on it, after the episode is aired or at some later stage, when my life permits me...

I will try to respond to all the questions and doubts that are in your mind...

Btw Soha wanted to stay with both the parents under one roof. That is why this whole arrangement was made.
If Dev gets married to someone else, will this arrangement prevail? Who will think about this?
So much for 'sab soha ke liye' and asal and sood!!
What a sight to have Dev Sona Soha and the other gurl under the same roof😲

Just because she doesn't want Iswari to do his work she could force him to do it? He is not sitting idle. She can do it or take help from house help. Sonakshi just irritated me in that scene. Calling him mumma's boy just because he did not keep her word ...really she crossed the limits.Dev did not say anything against her. Dev always tried to appease Sonakshi. Period. Still he is called names.

By the way I dont want to hear mumma's boy from anyone .

The problem I had with Sona's actions was that she claimed to herself that she wants Dev to learn to be self sufficient . That in of itself is fine. But instead of empowering Dev to make his own decisions she was forcing him to follow her set of rules. The point though is that its not making him empowered. If he doesn't want to look after his cupboard he doesn't have to. He should be allowed a right to choose. The problem with Ishwari is that she never allowed Dev true choice in his life. Sonakshi was countering Ishwari's influence by pushing her opinions on Dev thus also not allowing him true choice.

Like you said Dev was always trying to appease Sonakshi. Basically, he was caught between trying to appease Sonakshi and trying to appease Ishwari at the same time. Neither woman was allowing him autonomy. If he's not allowed to stand up for himself... he wouldn't be able to stand up for anyone else.

Grace, tellyjo, this was one of the paths that I was thinking for the story a couple days back when the remarriage talks started or Vickky came up with that idea. 😆 😛. And I think it will play out very nicely. At the core of it, the current track is very much a parallel to infertility track. That hidden secret was one thing that triggered a lot of other hidden feelings to come to the fore. Currently the Khatri track is doing the same.

If I have to take a guess (95% sure), I feel Dev will tell Sonakshi about Ishwari's words and then will agree to marry someone else as per Ishwari's wishes. For him Suhana will always be his daughter, but right now she is not really his own. She is "Suhana Bose" and there is no indication that, that is going to change in near future. Sonakshi in no less words has made it clear that there is no possibility of any relationship between Dev and herself at any point of time. Dev although knows that he loves her sees no future for that love.

With Ishwari now being honest and telling the truth(may not be completely, but partially 😃 ) will act as a catalyst for Dev and Sonakshi to think about the future or their plan of this weekly residence in each others home and how it is affecting the members of those homes. Also now that Dev knows what Ishwari has done and gone through, he is in a place where he wants to make amends and give happiness to Ishwari.

Dev might be very happy with Sonakshi, but it does not mean he will be very unhappy with someone else. He might not love that other person as much as he loved Sonakshi, but still he will make effort to keep that person happy especially if that makes his mother happy. It might seem that Dev is going back to worshiping Ishwari or falling trap to her blackmail. But I don't feel it is that. I am excited after this Shavi..I am looking forward for this and if a new char makes entry..Though I doubt that will happen and also primarily it depends on Dev's reply..I dont mind if they proceed with this marriage track..since I have quite a few ideas regarding it in my head..so I am looking forward to it

What a Bomb episode..very gripping and so exciting ..special mention of dialog writers..They construct words so beautifully..It leaves me impressed everytime

A lot happened a true roller coaster ride..too much to discuss and enjoy :)

I so liked it..Now this story looks so entertaining..Even if they introduce new girl for Dev which I feel chances are still very nil..then too its not gonna be cliched track..Its gonna be a meaning full entry I feel

Also when you are stuck with your past yet dont want to disappoint your parents..This is such a real situation..you feel torn confused restless hurt helpless..This state is so relatable to me..Its not easy at all..now whats the solution either upsetting your parents or upsetting yourself..But whats the right thing to do..Right for you or right for your parents/family..I to have faced similar stuff in life ..and its torturous actually..Its difficult to come out of it..Now I want to see If Dev and Sonakshi can find a reasonable solution here..These are testing times..Will they be able to pass with flying colors

Shavi DQ Sam and everyone active on this thread ..you have feast here..I am sure you all will relish it

PS Ladies analyze with calm mind instead of blasting on Ishwari or Bijoy left right center LOL..so have glass of cold water before writing ..have fun HAHA

PPS It was an emotional episode for me for various reasons

Lol...I don't know. He was still making a decision he didn't want under Ishwari's emotional blackmail. I am okay with him thinking of the idea of another life partner if it came from within him. That he is accepting the restrictions that Sonakshi has placed on their relationship and is thinking of moving on from a rational place. Ishwari's emotional pressure sort of muddles the whole thing.

But I do think it could be the start of a right step forward. Dev realizes he can move forward without Sonakshi. I think this will be the reverse of the Ritvik track-- where this time we will see Sona face the pain of her decision made under the pressure of trying to appease Bijoy.
