Between all this Bijoy-Saurabh talk, I think it was Ronita who ultimately got it right when she said Sona's happiness is the mudda of the conflict. Smart girl. In the end, both Bijoy and Saurabh are shouting at the top of their lungs over someone who is not there to speak for herself, and they are using her as a cover for problems that run much deeper.

If Saurabh has lingering issues with the way Bijoy treats him, then he needs to address them directly and not through Sona's problems. Bijoy, on the other hand, is being given exactly the information that would make him angrier and more anti-Dev/Dixits. Everybody in his family is getting sucked into the Dixit "trap" according to him, but nobody is telling him why. Nobody is telling him how happy Sona has been with Dev, how freely they have been moving between families, or how Dev stood up for Asha when Mami tried to enforce the "rules." So he is taking it upon himself to be the last bastion for Sona -- even if all her other defenses fail, I won't be hoodwinked. I used to say this about Ishwari all the time, that she is the way she is and expecting her to change may not be realistic -- so how do you work around it? I feel the same way about Bijoy now. He is angry, stubborn, and impulsive, fine. He is also your father and husband, so how do you work around it?

I am just loving how the tables have turned in S2, and the Boses are learning that it's easy to preach honesty, transparency, and family solidarity when things are "perfect, just perfect," but it becomes harder and harder when the happiness of the family begins to go in multiple directions. This is precisely what happened with the Dixits in S1. All the disfunctional elements of their family, which they had found ways to avoid, came to the fore when Dev strayed from their common vision for the household by falling in love with, and wanting to marry, Sona. Without consensus, Dev made a new vision, and because he did it with the family's best interests as a top priority, he thought everyone would be okay with it. Of course, as we all saw, it turned out to be much more complicated than that.

When your happiness gives someone you love so much pain, it becomes easier to hide the truth than to stand up for it. It's what Dev went through in S1, and what Sona is facing now. She has internalised Bijoy's disapproval to such an extent that he doesn't even need to be there for her to push Dev away, despite her feelings and her natural urge to help and protect him. Bijoy's physical presence and pull only magnified this resistance. In all this, the scenes at the hospital are an important foreshadowing, I think. Sona was able to put down her gauntlet and apologise to Dev only when Bijoy gave him a clean chit; Bijoy forged a grudging truce with Dev because Dev listened to him and gave him an safe space to vent his pain and worry. That validation brought him to a point where he was willing to let Dev stay in their house permanently with Sona and Soha. Lack of that validation from his own family has him back to the stage where he wants to remove Dev from Sona's life at any cost. As problems go, Dev is only the visible tip of a very large, very deep Bose-iceberg.

So, as much as Dev needs Sona's help with the Khatri situation, because she is able to remain calm while he loses his temper, I think Sona needs Dev's help with Bijoy because he is able to think on his feet while Bijoy's questions make Sona tongue-tied and silent, for fear of not having the "perfect" answer. She can't bring herself to lie outright, but the truth would make her fall in Bijoy's eyes, which is equally unthinkable to Sona. It echoes the way that Dev jumped in when Soha refused to call him papa right away, and Sona was in a similar conundrum. If they are heading in this general direction, where both of them hold each other up where they are weakest, then this will be one happy viewer!

P.S: Dr. Bose, thanks for reading my post yesterday and helping out with the Golu situation! There is much work to be done, especially since you are the one most answerable to Golu's question, "is it my fault that Soha hasn't been around for all these years?" but yesterday's intervention was a very promising start!

Sam

I don't think Saurabh 's outburst is due to the lingering issues he had with his father. He genuinely feared that Bijoy's interference will make things difficult for Sona and Soha. He knew Sona won't extend her stay if she and Soha are facing any kind of inconvenience in IN. He just wanted his father to stay away from them and not meddle in their decisions.

I don't think it is easy to convince Bijoy stating the obvious... He won't believe Sona is happy and Soha literally wants to stay with her Dadi for more time. As soon as he entered he started his mission save Sona from Dixits. He did not wait a minute to listen when Saurabh tried to tell in a soft voice.

What did he do when he returned from IN? Even after seeing Sona happy and relaxed he is not sure she is really fine. Such a person won't get convinced even if Asha tells him about Dev's stand in support of her against RR. He just feels only he can see the truth and that is " Dev Dixit can not make his daughter or his grand daughter happy."

I've a doubt.. hav anyone got fever due to stress ? Heard that stress can lead to headache, depression etc but fever ..hmm . One more thing. Fever is actually nt a disease but symptom showing that either some infection in our body or our body is nt keeping well. It's basically a warning by the body. But the way fever is projected , esp in the eyes of matajee as if v r gonna face an impending tsunami or a category 5 hurricane . People usually take medication to control temperature, they travel if in need or take rest peacefully @ home but in IN, a whole panchayat is gathered in the patient's room , even the kids. Yeh Cvs bhi naa..kuch bhi !!

@aarcha: That is an excellent question, so I just googled it, and apparently you can indeed get a fever from stress. It's called a psychogenic fever. Dev has always been of weak constitution, and he must have stayed up all night worrying about what would happen in the morning. Plus, he wanted so badly to get sick that he just made it happen. I am happy to see him using all of his weaknesses -- poor constitution, bad listening comprehension -- to his advantage these days! 😃

I can't thank you enough for making me feel less miserable for feeling bad for Bijoy. I seriously felt like a misplaced alien trying to fathom myself why I couldn't be happy with Saraubh's outburst, why I felt Bijoy's pain more over his self pride and ego as highlighted by everyone in forum , why I strongly felt he was wronged in tuesday's episode, etc etc inspite of so many responses in my post but thanks dear for pepping me that am intact human..am glad I decided to read this thread completely today...no wonder we both are peas of same pod in terms of gutter or emotions😆.

@Everyone : Great discussions on Ishwari, Dev's balancing between Golu-Soha and of course the hot topic of Bijoy as well😆 It doesn't matter how long this serial runs and which course it takes, I am going to savor all you writers inside this thread for lifetime. Such talents!!👏 Its my privilege to get to know you all in much deeper levels! Doesn't matter whether our opinions match but the maturity of every member inside this thread handling that difference is what something I want to take with me to savor!!

Deeps...yesterday when I heard Ronita's words to Saurabh, I was thinking of you. It was like you had written those dialogues...Ditto, what you had written in your thread.😃

This is a question to all decoders... this is the third instance of dev falling ill and the prominence of his illness has moved the story so far in the show.

First time.. sonakshi was a girlfriend who didnt have the haq to take care of him. Ishwari nd gkb's doubts got stronger regarding their relationship nd made sure she stayed away. This led to the revealing of their relationship status. Sona was longing to be with him but dev though wanted her to be near him was enjoying the pampering of ishwari. Sona started facing the wrath of ishwari as 'woh ladki'.

Second time... sonakshi was his wife with total haq on dev to take care of him. But sona nd ishwari were at war at each other subconsciously to prove their importance in dev's life with their way of nursing. This led to sona being kept away as a bahu and only as a working woman married to dev. In this instance, dev was enjoying the pampering of both. Sona started facing 'mumma's boy' at every turn.

Third time.. sonakshi is his ex-wife and has nil haq on him. But we could see dev longing for her care nd claim her haq on him. .. but he was accepting of ishwari's pampering. Sona clearly wants to stay out. In spite of tht we can see ishwari's fear escalating.

My question is wht changes will be brought out cos of this illness. Decoders pls do the honours of explaining. Will sona be again made the victim?.

Thanx a lot Sam for the clarification n i forgot to ask google jii 😆 Glad that Cvs r indeed doing some homeworks for their creativity.

Seems like Dev is indeed afraid of papa bose . The mere thought of going to bose house can make him this much weak to catch fever ( remember dev mentions bout aliens /alien in bose house 😆) , then i wud like to applause for our brave sonakshi who's single handedly dealing with Vicky, GKB n matajii. 👏😉

On a serious note, dev may b more concerned bout his maa n resolving of this khatri issue.

Good one havima 👏 I'm nt hre to decode anything ( v've some stupendous decoders in this thread , they'll do the honours ) but to point out something else.

In the first case, ishwari first noticed dev having fever , followed by sona . In the second case , sona noticed that dev was having fever in the bedroom, the ishwari came to chk . In the third case, soha noticed that her papa was having fever. She then called her mumma first n then brought her dadi . I was thinking , wat if the fever happens in the fourth time, then who'll b the first one to notice? Most probably , the one'll b the future tiny Mr. Aubhodro 😆 Chappals mat phenko.. Jst kidding ! 😃

@Sam, wonderful posts. 👏 . But after reading them, I have a doubt. Please help.

I agree that Saurabh and Bijoy were fighting over Sonakshi's happiness without her being there to tell what she wants. But so far I have not really seen Sonakshi tell "what she wants" in clear words. She has done that with Dev a few times, but most of the times she gives mixed information. Especially with Bijoy. Why is Bijoy so convinced that Sonakshi will not/cannot be happy with Dev. He says that Sonakshi was hurt when she was with Dev, but fails to acknowledge that she also had her happiest moments of life with him. With Sonakshi always looking for "perfect answer" to give for Bijoy's questions, hiding her true feelings and not taking Dev's help in any way, what will she do next. Already Bijoy has said that he will not let Sona be with Dev. She yet again decided to stay back at IN with the reason that Dev is not feeling well. If Bijoy says that is not your problem, they will take care of him, you come back, is Sonakshi ready to say "No".

More than hiding her feelings, I feel she is trying to runaway in the opposite direction from them. Given such a situation, what can trigger those feelings to come tumbling out, I mean accepting them or will she ever do that. Take responsibility for her actions and decisions when the result is less than ideal.
