As I said in one of my earlier posts, we are so used to play the a la based card for any woman who is subjected to mistreatment by her in-laws that we get blinded .

That's why I said we need to overcome our prejudices to call a spade a spade.

Having ranted so much I am neither giving a clean chit to ishwari nor dev but haan think again before using woman In Distress Walla card for sona at financially

Ok Sonakshi was self employed , I agree, but like in normal job it won't assure a fixed income each month . If the business was profitable in the initial months ,she would have use the money in paying the amount Dev invested instead of selling her home.. When she decided to give back the money to Dev it was pretty clear that the only option they had was to pledging the house .
And no I don't have the habit of considering every criticism as personal bashing . You want to put me in the general category ,I don't have any complaints 😆
I was just stating that even though Sonakshi is educated the challenges she faced as a pregnant woman and single parent was not drastically different from Ishwari but she ended up as a successful woman rather than sulking around and frequently reminding others including her kid that she sacrificed a lot now you sacrifice your happiness.

so Dev might have taken away the shelter from their heads, but did not take away their means of livelihood . this brings in another interesting question if sona was employed already, had a 5 crore business on hand, with 4.5 crores of cash stacking up in a bank account, where from Jatin helping the boses financially come into the picture 😉😉. woh bahut kuch wala dialogue abhi bhi hazam nahi horaha hai 😛

by saying general category, i did not mean it as an offense, rather it was a reference to most of the posts i see here on IF in favour of sona.

of the posts i read most of them use the adjectives like, sona was left jobless, penniless, homeless in the middle of the night with her family thrown into streets, followed by expletives used by dev after she rejected his request to reconcile.

i am not belittling the efforts of a single mother, heck you dont have to be divorced , even those wonderful families where woman have to stay away from their spouses for whatever reasons( job, education, or any even a business visit) the struggles that a woman with kids faces will always remain the same.

you were right when you said, we do a lot for a kid but then we don't expect them the kids to be on sacrificial mode .

i hope with our discussions, atleast a few of them can start to see things in a different perspective . i would consider myself successful in posting on forum if atleast one of the readers can start to believe that alternate views do exist and they are as real as you and me.
