Ishwari had a tough time. Her efforts must be recognized and saluted...
My concern is, what did she learn from all her struggles? Make her DIL's life worse? Demean woman who would become close to Dev? She struggled, so, her DIL should suffer too??

Being supportive mom does not mean you have to be jealous and/or clingy ...

great topic and well though of
Yes even I realise it now after reading your post
yes, its difficult to raise children and I always thought from that point of view for ishwari, but not even after her children are married off

you have to do your work and leave aal expectations after a while,
but Ishwari couldnt do that and people like GKB surrounding her can easily rule her mind

that's what exactly she is doing

Ishwari was not alone , she had the support of her brother too, the children were not infants .
Her daughters didn't elope , son is not a criminal , but that doesn't make her upbringing perfect.
Her elder daughter Neha was bitter towards everyone because her mother failed to give her equal importance .
Riya knows that something is wrong with her husband to be when she very well know that he is avoiding her purposely and she was very much confused in handling the situation
Dev , the son of Ishwari , doesn't know how to balance his family , how to handle the stress , how to handle the life challenges.Whenever he faced setback in his personal life he relied on alcohol .
And more than anyone else , Ishwari failed as a mother , always ended up emotionally blackmailing her son, reminding him that she sacrificed a lot to raise the children.

Is Sonakshi a dependent woman just because she accepted the help of her childhood friend Jatin? The woman was pregnant , homeless, jobless in a new city with her jobless brother , old father , mother and grandmother. I consider her strong cause after all this setback, she decided to give birth to the child, she decided to face the life with out the help of alcohol , without doing anything immoral , she decided to set up the company and become successful at it . I consider her as independent because she lived the life on her own terms whereas even the woman who lives with the support of father , brother or husband are forced to compromise on many things.
Anyway ,a unique topic TM. Thanks for reminding me why exactly I hate Ishwari .

See this is where I lost connect to Ishwari.
I could connect til she was wallowing in self pity, was being upset for no reason... but when she purposefully made life of DIL worse, I lost connect to her.

BTW JazzyM, I remember you from QH forum. were you a fellow SeHan fan😳

of all that u said sona being penniless and setting up a new company I find them to be most hilarious . She already started a online portal with her brother and dev had invested freaking 5 crores in it . To top it up she walked into ishwari nivas with a 4.5 crore cheque that neither dev nor ishwari accepted .don't tell me bank Waylon he kudh hi chq encash karliye. All of a sudden a 5 crore invested business becomes non existent and 4.5 crore disappear from bank accounts. Agar koi chq leke jaata hai to I think I am safe to assume the money was in a bank accnt pertaining to one of the boses. So now tell me from where and how on earth they became penniless overnight

As I said in one of my earlier posts, we are so used to play the a la based card for any woman who is subjected to mistreatment by her in-laws that we get blinded .

That's why I said we need to overcome our prejudices to call a spade a spade.

Having ranted so much I am neither giving a clean chit to ishwari nor dev but haan think again before using woman In Distress Walla card for sona at financially

No1 says issueworry dint struggle
Its parents responsibility to provide them the best upbringing

She struggled for financial help fine..but that doesnt give you right to emotionally blackmail ur child...!!!!
