I think Sonakshi is logical and practical enough to understand that Dev could not possibly have been present at the time of her delivery or thereafter to take care of Soha as she herself has not informed Dev about it, except for the one visit that she paid him which was quite unsuccessful. Whether he made an attempt or not is not shown in the show so I assume he never did but are Devakshi obligated to find out about each other after breaking up but after knowing about her pregnancy It was Sonakshi's responsibility to let him know because it was his baby as well and he had the right on the baby as much as her . Bold - under normal circumstanes, NO . After a mutual break up its not necessary for a person to keep in touch with or keep tabs on a former partner . But the circumstances under which Dev - Sonakahi separated were anything but normal. Dev thinks he was responsible for getting the Bose family thrown out and Sonakshi too heard it from none other than Dev. So if not out of any love , then I was hoping at least basic humanity would have induced Dev to find out whatever happened to them.

As for Sona , although the makers tried to make it look like she attempted to fullfil her responsibility of informing Dev about Soha's birth by giving us that one poorly inserted , cooked up-in-the-last-min scene , personally to me it looked like a half - hearted attempt. But I really cannot fault Sona for that, considering how she was treated by Dev and his family. Again , that's just my POV.

Ashwathy , this is something I cannot understand why should Sonakshi give rights to Dev .What makes Sonakshi superior than Dev as a parent .They both are equally responsible for Soha's upbringing and have equal say .

If Dev had abandoned Soha as a child then I can understand Sonakshi being superior but here he was not even informed so how did he lose his rights over Soha ?
