If you watch the episode with these roles at the back of your mind, it all makes sense.

In continuation with yesterday's episode, IS reared its head. He put SD and LD down and went to confront BD. Dev spoke some hard facts to Sona. However, he missed the point that Sonakshi is the way she is because of her circumstances. Just like Dev 1.0 was the way he was because of his circumstances. She was thrown on the streets. She had to fend for her family and bring up a child. Why this happened is for another day. The point is, we are a product of our circumstances and I absolutely loved how jatin continues to play the role of a great friend-facilitator by asking leading questions. He sent sona back in a moment where she herself acknowledged that she might have become Dev 1.0 and worked on negating any such facts.

Asha's point about mirrors and reflections was amazing and it has a very deep rooted meaning in times to come. Not only does everyone need to reflect but they also need to see how the other person may be feeling. And that was Asha's point which I don't think Dev grasped at all. IS was in no mood to talk about LS. He just saw BD badmouth his mother.

To make matters worse Dev and Sona walked into 2 separate conversations in the middle. Dev was already raw from the night before and hearing Soha recall what Sona told Asha, woke the IS in him again.

Similarly, sona was raw from the night before and hearing Dev yell at Bijoy woke BD in her again.

The parents and lovers in Devakshi were strapped firmly in the backseat. These two are hurt, angry and sad. Only time will tell if and when the healing happens, what will be the outcome. Right now, they both don't think that it's worth paying the price of their love. "Paise wale gareeb"

Lots of parallels and symbolisms I felt.

DQ, that was a superb write-up on yesterday's episode.

And before anyone points out I know bijoy expressions and manners are worse when it comes to Dev. But here i am talking about Ishwari and if there are any genuine changes in her as a person.

JShukla and Payal, remember the episode where for the first time Sonakshi brings the roti and sabzi for lunch for Ishwari @IN. Where Ishwari asks if that was for the cow and Sonakshi replies that it was for her. Ishwari is right now in that place. She knows that she has to eat the oil less roti, but she is waiting eagerly for the day to when she will get ghee roti. Here too she knows that Sonakshi is a must in Dev, Suhana equation. But it will take time for her to accept it. Especially given the dream she had which is actually her nightmare come true.

Another thing is that Ishwari constantly assumes that her son is being subjected to do something he doesn't want to do. In this case, he is living outside of IN which is something he detests but is forced to do so because of her. Ishwari is yet to accept that as a conscious decision of Dev.

Both Bijoy and Ishwari are thinking that the other persons child is taking advantage of their own kid and because of that their kid is suffering. Both these parents fail to see that their child is grown up and have made this decision with full understanding of their responsibilities and implications.

For things to change both these parents need to accept that their children are now adults. 😆

The day she is ready to sacrifice her happiness for the sake of her son's happiness, That day I would not only empathise but also respect Ishwari the mother.

Payalji...for that, she first needs to know & accept that Dev apne aap se Sona ke haath mein hawaale kar diya tha...not like what she is believing, Sona ne Dev ko phasaaya hai.

But now, after this 8years, what has Dev turned into. A total rogue (DQ/Sam, let me know if this word is against the thread policies), who doesn't now bother about anybody other than Golu & Soha...With them he is the old Dev, because they are the ones with whom he can connect with that selflessness...Rest all, including his mother, he feels are not worth his love; so he acts with each, the way they have perceived them. He may have started taking Ishwari's blessings and all, maybe because he feels that even when Sona had no hope of having a child, Ishwari was the only person who told her to believe in God & give a try and even arranged the Shimla trip. Remember, after the Shimla stay, even Sona was excited to give Ishwari a hug. And if we notice, it is after he comes to know about Soha, he has started warming up with Ishwari again. So, subconsciously, he maybe thinking that Soha was the answer to Ishwari's prayers. But, outwardly he has turned to a pakka villain now.

Please explain why you called Dev ... I won't use the words not because DQ will warn me but because I feel I do injustice to Dev the ch. Totally my point of view.If he doesn't bother about anybody other than Soha and Golu why did he stake his reputation and attributed the theft on himself? Why should he bother to offer Sona medicines when she hurt her leg?

What does he lose if Saurabh's Rishta with Ronita gets cancelled? Despite his change in appearance Dev Dixit's core Charecter remained intact. The word you used for Dev is used only for Vicky like people but not for Dev.

You may differ with me but I would still wait to know your view.

What Dev did is he just helped keep things smooth between Boses and mandals. You can already see its effects. Saurabh, bijoy, dida and sona all like the mandals so far. Sona has even forgotten that Dev didn't steal the jewellery. She is upset that Dev spoke rudely to her father (she walked in the middle of a conversation)

It's been done in a way that Dev should at some point realise what Sona must have felt in his house. So far he hasn't. Similarly, sona should realise what it feels to have to balance so many old and one new relationship. She hasn't realised it either

Bolded - Very true...If we go and watch the initial episodes of S1, we can see most of the time Sona behaved like she was a member of that family...Many a times, she was the one even interacting with IN visitors (Ranveer who came to meet Neha, the chef who came to thank Dev etc etc).

The problem withe the Ishu is after her husband's death she wants the importance and she want that her family should come out of the bad situation that why she is used dev and achieve the thing that want to be get achieve. But in that process she completely forget that dev is her son and he is a different personal he can have his own dreams and happiness which is not associated to her. He can have his own world and still he can be his son. From the first episode she does not wasn't to share her son to any one. Even Dev's sisters were not connected to him due to Ishu. and when sona comes she see the change in dev which was the original dev which he has scarified for his family it started to come out this was new to her. she always has the false belief that she knows dev but the fact is that she don't known the dev. Even yesterday also she gives herself false hope that she has got the old dev back but it is not the new dev which she is see when he is with suhana is the updated version of dev . Her problem is the want to prove that she is the perfect mother which she is not. I some time feel that she is forget what is to being a mother because she was never able to see the pain of dev .she always see the things what she want to see. Honestly I am not able to connect her any more. God should never give a mother like to Ishu to any one who is so self centered.

Because 8yrs back her son was a gem of a person, who used to be an Aubodhro at times only and that too it was for his family only; Otherwise, he was a person who knew to respect others, who cared for his near ones including his staff, who was less egoistic, who was ready to say sorry at the slight hint of knowing that he was wrong etc etc...He had a reason for being Aubodhro too...As he recollects during Sona's accident scene, from the age of 8, he had to fight against the wolves around them to protect his mom & sisters and in that process he became overprotective about them, that, he never felt he was doing wrong in hurting others to keep his family safe & sound. Such a naive person he was those days. He & Ishwari were fine the way he was and he lived his life for his family without any complaint...That was his selflessness.

So, how can we blame Ishwari if she says, ek ladki ne aake sab kuch badal diya...till Dev fell in love, everything for her & Dev used to go smoothly in IN & Dev's life. And except for very few instances (which she purposely has sidelined to make her believe that Sona was not the right partner for Dev) Ishwari has seen only fights between Dev & Sona. And with the 180degree change in the old Dev & new Dev, how can she acknowledge that Sona's love has done something marvellous to Dev.

Being from that orthodoxical generation and have not seen the world or have not thought about anything other than her family, Ishwari is blinded by her beliefs and thoughts. Coming from a progressive family and have seen & read about the world more than Ishwari, wasn't it Sona's duty to take time to understand why Ishwari liked her as Sona, the person; but didn't like her as Dev's wife.

P.S. I have a doubt. Aren't there any topic related to mental health, included in the MBBS (Nutrionist) course syllabus?

Ish never liked sona as devs wife period! She never understood that devs happiness was with Sona. Every time she saw dev giving attention to sona she tried to pull him back by emotionally blackmailing about their past. I find it difficult to empathize with a mothwr who is more interested in keeping herself happy rather than her child. Orthodox or modern doesn't matter.

Yes dev has a heart of gold but he failed as not only as a husband but as a son too. He knew how sona was being treated & never took any steps to correct their behavior.

The problem with mother & son is their refusal to accept their blame in the failed marriage. Even today he's expecting sona to have come back & said sorry to him! Because of his mother he lost 6 yrs of his daughters life!

Sona made some mistakes too but why are putting the onus of adjusting only on her. Why is it thT she has continually understand mother & son and act accordingly! Yes she made the mistake of giving more importance to ish when her focus should have been dev. She also was insecure after the first breakup!

Sonakshi does not look at it like she lost anything. From her perspective it was Dev and Ishwari's loss. She considers Dev not as diamond, but as a cheap imitation, a glass piece. Yesterday she called Dev's life as choti and spineless and asked him to return to that. She has a superiority complex where she believes she and her family as better than Dixits. That they(Boses) are perfect and ideal. She considers Dev as not worthy of someone like her.

For her to understand what you are saying, she first needs to realize how "imperfect", her perfection actually is. That her baba is human and flawed and is not a perfect example of every role. Only when she stops this comparison between Bijoy and Dev, stops looking at Dev through Bijoy's standards, will she realize what you are saying.

@ Itelidevara...This was totally w.r.to yesterday's Dev's behaviour, I used that term...And it was not that I was against his this behaviour, that I used that word...Did u hear what Golu said yesterday? My bigcha doesn't hurt anyone...And if he happens to see this side of his Bigcha, what would he feel? That was exactly I wanted to point out by using that term...Hope you understood.

I think this process is going to be get stated very soon. That's why they have introduced the ronita and her family. and the yesterday's comment was the out come the comment dev has passed for becoming dev. or I will say actually started when Asha says her baba was not a perfect husband.
