Just the way Sonakshi is now looking for solutions which keeps everyone happy, Dev tried to do the same. What Sonakshi is going through today is what Dev went through 7 years ago. Watching those episodes along with these episodes gives a very nice perspective and understanding.

The first time Sona decided to stand up for her dad was after slapgate. More than expecting Sona to stand with him, Bjioy was grateful for Sona's support. The consequence was he gave her his trust and all in terms of all their property for her to repay.
The second time she stood with her dad was when they were made homeless. At this stage, she didn't have anywhere to go anyway and it was Asha who sent Sona to figure out what had happened.

I would consider both these as pretty shaking ones for any family. We can't deny that these were caused by Dev. I don't see any event of this intensity caused by Sona at the Dixits that will make Ishwari expect Dev to take a stand.

Bijoy doesn't accept Dev because 'once bitten twice shy'. One doesn't quite see why Ishwari couldn't accept Sona?

Is this true though? What did Dev do for Sona's happiness? I do accept that happiness itself is subjective but if we are comparing...

Its a child's right to claim her dad's time and attention. She isn't making any decisions for her parents or grandparents. How does this compare to Sona?

Two things here: a) Dev's entry at the Boses is unnecessary, unpleasant. We clearly know Sona and Dev threw a few suggestions on the table, they agreed on none and then Dev decided to choose one. Sona's entry to Dixits at both times, as an employee and as wife, were at Dev and Ishwari's invitation.

b) Sona tried to chip in what she believed was her family. Like when Saurabh was out of job, she piped up with a business idea. Isn't the problem that the Dixits expected her to stand and watch the show like Elena does now.

I was watching Peshwa Bajirao last night. Now, Baji's mother is asked to apologise to the guru by all villagers for being a bad parent. Baji then pipes up and says "Okay, my mum will apologise if atleast one of you can put your hand on heart and say you have never unknowingly put taught anything wrong to your child; if you have never hidden the truth from your child..."

The reason I bring this up is if we try and point our finger on every mistake Sona did then it will only be fair that we put Dev's on the same scale too. In which case, we will then see who made expensive, more dreadful mistakes.

I believe Dev and Ishwari have left us confused on their allegiance. If they had chosen Neha over Elena, we would know they believed in self respect over family - Ranveer refused to put Neha above his mother's needs. If they had chosen Elena over Neha, we can be sure that they believed in loyalty-come-what-may over self. They seem to have chosen both but not Sona!!

Just the way Sonakshi is now looking for solutions which keeps everyone happy, Dev tried to do the same.

Isn't this the only similarity? While Dev tried everything to keep his family happy at the cost of his marriage, Sona is trying to keep Soha happy at the cost of her family!

I think we are reading too much into this story. We just need to accept that this story is cooked up track at a time based on what the writers read and feel or which side of the bed they get up from :-)
