He deserves every bit of suffering that life has to offer him because of his conscious unwillingness to free himself from the root cause of his suffering-Ishwari.

If he cant forsake his mother bcoz she is his mother...how could he forsake his wife...bcoz its easier for him to do...of the haq that his so-called love gives him on Sona.

It was Dev 2.0...only 2 days back he became Dev1.0 again when he said he was back to normal...hugging his mom. Dev 1.0 will be devdas when he knows his mom is at fault...he wont tell/ask her any qs.

So, zero expectations from him here...but I do expect him to let Soha-Sona live without his fear of troubling them.

Then in that case Dev hasn't grown one bit in the last 7 years. The one step forward which he had taken in rightfully showing Ishwari the mirror has been taken back. He stands exactly where he was 7 years back and added to it is his absolutely illogical hatred for Sonakshi. Oops,should I have referred to it as his 'love'?🤪

I really don't get this logic! Man, let no girl fall for a guy like this! He absolutely deserves to suffocate himself in that Dixit mansion surrounded by people who suck his own blood.

Agree.. The best thing that had happened to Sona and because of which Soha saw the best thing of her life..

Now Soha's foundation is set strong to what's right and wrong, she can go and bond with her father's family.. Then she can decide for herself whether she can survive amidst them or bring in changes to befit them for her liking or be suffocated there forever.. 😉

Guddi, you are reminding me one after another Tagore gems. Thanks for that. I always thought that Tagore was way ahead of his time. Strangely enough I remember thinking at that time that I am happy I wasn't born in 1900 since I never saw a conservative family where I grew up. I was born in a liberal family and grew up in a liberal city - Kolkata. Silly me I thought parents setting curfews was as conservative as it gets in late '90s - early 2000.

Ladies, if you are interested these are short stories of Tagore.

The first one she mentioned is called "Strir Patra". Hindi translation, "Mrinal ki Chithhi". Where an independent woman breaks free of a suffocating and toxic environment where no one respected her thoughts and wishes.

The second one is "Aparichita". Hindi and English translation are the same. In this a bride's father refuses the groom when he doesn't take a stand against his family who were demanding dowry and calling the bride's family gold digger. He says that if they are this disrespectful before marriage, how will they respect his daughter after marriage? A bold, bold step in 1900 backdrop when if a baarat went back, the bride would have never found another groom.

What would you say for Sona if despite knowing how much Soha loves her father and how much his happiness matters to her, Sonakshi harassed Dev even for justified anger?

Exactly!!! Then we would call her a bad parent. Because regardless how legitimate the anger is in people's mind, a good parent keeps their personal vendetta aside and treat the other parent with respect whom the child loves.

So either Dev is vengeful and a bad parent who only thinks about his own feelings or swallows his anger and be a good parent because for him his daughter's happiness comes first even over his own vendetta.

And we both know which one of these are Dev as of now. He doesn't know the game Ishwari played, but he knew the straight information Soha gave him. He should have followed that.

Anyways, he doesn't want to force Soha, that's good. It would have only alienated her farther.

But it's only the beginning. When I see Dev being a good father, I will say it. As of today, he was not. And this post and discussion is on today's episode.

oh i dont see everything so seriously considering the fact that dev is definitely a flawed man...

as for being a good father i never said that...i said he is proving to be a better father than a better husband...there is difference...because by gving importance to soha's feelings he is indeed proving to be a better father since he never cared about sona's feelings wen she was his wife...

i will never forget how he was eating bday cake from ma's hand while sona was standing alone on road...i know i shud not bring past events but some things that dev did r never forgivable...

since in spite of all the unforgivable things that dev did he is still the protagonist of this show and ultimately there will be devakshi reunion so i want to forget those things and even want to undermine watever dev is doing in the current scenario...

as for making sona going in circles...he made her stop in 7 places...quite funny since they were apart for 7 years 😆

yes definitely dev is acting in a vengeful manner...as of soha's feelings dev is already refraining from forcing himself on her unless and until she wants to come to him...that he has made already clear..as of harassing her mother yes that is wrong...but then he hardly does anything right...

but then i cannot also deny he loves sona even though his every action defies this fact...but then love is an emotion and not an action...i know watever dev is doing cannot be excused by saying that he loves her...if this is love then i am definitely lucky to be single...but in spite of all this the fact doesnt change that he loves her and because he loves her he has to redeem himself completely in sona's eyes...

i hope so in future there will be a day wen we will be craving to see sona with dev which means a day will come wen we will be forced to say that yes dev deserves sona...that can happen only after he learns to see the intention behind every action of his mom and also his own harmful devotion towards his mother...

fingers crossed...

p.s. as of ethic statement i already admitted he needs to learn its meaning before uttering the word..
