*Cracking knuckles* Here we go.
So today's episode starts with the same scene as yesterday.
Ishwari is standing with "the sky has fallen on my head" expression (I wish) and Mamaji is busy covering up his sister's behaviour with platitudes.
Ishwari asks Dev why he didn't bring Soha. Dev says that she got upset and scared after finding out that he is her father. So he wants to give her time.
Me: Good going, Bhaiya. High five. Now go and call Sonakshi. She is the only one who can bridge the gap between you and Soha.
Ishwari says young minds are like marble, it has to be moulded. Soha should come her home soon because elder's job is to mould young minds. It's her job. Just bring Soha there.
Me: You know, what? Ishwari was sounding like those demented terrorist recruiters who brainwash young innocent minds.
Haan Maata, agar Mini Sona ki personality big Sona jaisi ban gayee to aap apne mandir ke liye next generation zombie kaise appoint karengi?
Ab mujhe lagta hain ki apne bilkul thik kiya ki aapne Sonakshi ko bhaga diya saat saal pehle. Warna woh bhi trapped ho jaati aapke terrorist camp mein aur Soha bhi.
Dev refuses to bring Soha until he is ready. He says that he wants Soha to come to him at her own will.
Me: Good job Bhaiya. Lage raho. Pyaar ke liye nehin lade, lekin beti ke liye lado. She deserves your support.
At Bose house, Bijoy and Asha is worried for Soha being so quiet. They think to talk to Soha. Sonakshi thinks that she will talk to Dev first.
Me: I know there's some debate in forum if Sona should have talked to Soha first or not. I don't know what is right because in my opinion when a child is young, mother knows best. I'd have talked to my daughter first. But that's my approach.
Next Vicky and Radha scene. Irritating for my peace of mind. Khud dekhlo.
Dev is holding the pen and thinking about Soha and every moment spent with her.
Then Dev starts ranting that Sonakshi knows how happiness comes to him with difficulty. Still she took away his happiness. He thinks of what Suhana said but only partially (not the portion where Sonakshi didn't bad mouth him. But the one where Suhana said that she decided that if her father couldn't keep her mother happy, how will he keep her happy?). He fumes.
Me: So, Dev. First, your happiness is Sonakshi's business. Then it's Soha's business. Yet, in all this, you didn't ponder over the fact that you didn't make Sonakshi's happiness your primary concern which is now your daughter's concern? Selective memory at work again?
He gets Sonakshi's call. He picks up the phone and like precap in Mugambo voice tells her that he will decide where to meet. Sonakshi agrees.
He gives her a location. Sonakshi reaches there and it was empty. Then Dev makes her run around in the city for two hours until she reaches his office. She finds the door locked. She bangs the door and Dev opens and smirks.
Me: Sonakshi, you my dear, is a duffer. Guess what? He was playing games with you and you kept on playing.
Now let me share a pearl of wisdom my mother-in-law shared with me. She said, "You can only be played if you keep on playing. You step out of the game and the player will have no control over your moves." Granted, she told me this when I lost in Sequence (amazing board game by the way). But it's very applicable in real life too.
What do you think he would have done if after finding the first place empty, you'd have gone home to consult your lawyer? Nothing. That's what. Instead you wasted two hours playing hide and seek with your ex while your daughter is home in distress. Moron!!!
Anyways, Sonakshi is pissed. Dev says that if two hours of being lost bothered her so much imagine how he felt losing 6 years with his daughter?
Me: Good point, Bhaiya. Are we playing balance the book now? Soch lo. Agar Sonakshi ne apna khata wapas khola to aap bahut nuksaan mein rahoge. Try karna chahoge?
Sonakshi says that Soha should not be brought between their fight. She is her daughter and he doesn't need to meet Soha. Dev shouts that Soha is equally his as hers. How could she be so insensitive to keep a child away from her father?
Me: Correction, Bhaiya. She didn't keep a child away from her father. She kept a father away from a child (and even that's not true). It's not semantics. Let me explain. She gave Soha a choice to meet her dad repeatedly and she refused for whatever reason. So she didn't keep Soha away from you. Soha wanted to stay away. Anyway, continue.
Dev says that he won't take Soha away from her because she will herself come to him and she won't be able to do anything. Until now they were fighting little fights. This time he is serious. She knows how stubborn he is and now he will play the game with his rules. Until now he was fighting with ethics and now all rules are off.
Me: Bhaiya, I don't know your definition of ethics. But I am pretty sure, it doesn't match the rest of the world's definition. Snatching well-deserved award, locking people in an office without food and water is not what anyone would say is an ethical way to fight.
Dev says that didn't she think that if she comes to Dev with Soha, he will forget everything and everything will be fine?
Me (*snorting pepsi through my nose*): Say what? Excuse me? You will forget what exactly? That how you and your family had tortured Sonakshi and insulted her? How you slapped her father? How you lied and humiliated her? How you threw her out of your house and her family out of their house? Really? What would you have forgotten?
Precap: Sonakshi tells him that she came to his house. She forgot every insult and came with her six month old daughter. But she was turned away.
Dev calls home and tries to locate the person who turned his daughter away. Oh and also Sonakshi away. Sorry forgot she was also there. I thought it was just a reproductive organ holding his precious daughter.
Annnddd... It's Ishwari.
Me: Of course. The winner is our Ishu Maiya. Thank you Maata. Aapne jo Sonakshi aur Soha pe ehsaan kiya hain unko aapke saaye se dur karke, uska ehsaan Bose family kabhi nehin utar payenge. *Sniff* I am getting emotional...
