How I adore women who doesn't indulge into self-pity and finds positivity and strength in everything. Reminds me of the Diwali episode Sona. 😛 Because the girl doesn't SPEAK out on her struggle and pain, she tends to be taken for granted. May be that's why an MCP like Dev tries to push her more to the corner to the breakeven point. But alas, hardly Dev knows the inner strength of this kind of iron-girl. 👏 Even if she reaches the point, she has got a wonderful family like Baba-Maa-Dadi-Dada to boost her morale and bring her back in the game. MCPs like Dev, no matter how much they try, will never be able to see the vulnerable side of such women because they simply don't deserve it. Had men like Dev had some honest intention to bring out the tears out of these women so that they feel light, may be women would have considered doing so. But it's all about stroking the Male Ego for these men which iron-girls recognize pretty fast. 👍🏼 It's not like girls like Sona (or me) don't break down ever, but we don't show it to any XYZ who would find 'happiness' in my tears. 😊

This way, Dev is unaware of 2 most sensitive emotions of Sonakshi - the power and extreme of her strength as well as her weakness. Men like Devs are the most loathsome MCPs who somehow get the women of their lives, but can never truly reach out to the deepest soul inside them. And I say it is for the better ❤️. Baring soul needs lots of sensitivity which clearly these kind of men lack in a wholesome.

Whoosh ! Sorry for such emotional content. 😛 Too much of thoughts a Tagore story triggers in me. 😊

Wow! 👏 👏 👏

These are people who are dependent on other people being ethical despite not having any ethics themselves. They feed off the goodness of others and do not feel the necessity or compulsion to do the right thing themself.

And this episode, sigh!
And this story and its characters, double sigh!

It is fast becoming a psychological thriller from a romance, something like Sleeping with the enemy and Safe Haven where i am rooting and on the edge for the heroine to get away from the husband.

Tia, after reading your update, i saw the episode but in fast forward because i could not bear to hear the dialogues. Why start my day with a headache. I look all around and say an extra prayer.

Lovely thread! The gifs in some of the comments were super awesome!

I really loved this thread. I am travelling and need more time to rewatch the episode and read between the lines. But just wanted to state something - I feel really bad at ishwaris dialogue that she wouldnt have turned sona away has she been aware that soha was there with her. I feel really bad that sona's worth is equated with her womb. I hope dev questions his mum on this statemen t. It is unfortunate that the series is made by a woman.
If they really want the series to be different - then they should shoshow that sona and dev mend bridges and share custody of soha. Over a period of time ishwari should realise her mistake. Dev should rekindle his love for sona but she should never agree to get together with him. She should explain that to him also
Him why its not possible
I want dev to understand her for a change and respwct her decison

Yes, they take advantage of the goodness of the others to cover up their own flaws...

@ Bold - Astha - Never, never. Trust me none can despise Anraag for that infamous incident more than me. 😆 But if you see the episode - Anurag was on his knees, with folding hands, hardly uttered few words and stayed mum when Prerna gave it back to him left right and centre. 👏 For Anurag's case, he still hated Prerna much for all her lies and messed-up priorities, but those were not the first thoughts that came into his mind, his reactions mostly was on how he failed himself and Prerna in love and trust issues, and how it was not his Mom, but his own conscious decision to breakup his marriage. Amidst all my hatred for Anraag, I love watching few episodes of these time and again because of the way he expressed his failure 👏.

And Dev shocked me with absolutely NO concern for Sonakshi on how she managed her pregnancy, how she managed in Delhi. His blabbering about Soha made me puke. 🤢 A woman is worth nothing if she cannot produce a kid - The motto of Dickshits. 🤢 Hope Soha rejects the selfish clan right on their faces. 😡

@bold and underline

From where do you get such gems? 😆

Well, I agree. At least anurag never treated any woman as machine to produce kids. Common thing between both (anurag and dev) is dono ko maa ne barbaad kiya. 😆

I was reading somewhere that the confrontation between Dev and Sona was like real husband and wife normal fight. 😵 😳 😲
This is news to me. I can't live with a husband like this. What happened yesterday was a kind of domestic violence.

Is it so necessary for a woman to bear a child??And if she cannot bear a child then it's considered that she is of no use. When will this thinking change?? When will this mentality change?? Only then will no more women be sacrificed for the sake of continuing their progeny.

Whenever I hear the terms 'fertile' and 'barren' used in context of women I cringe. They are human beings for God's sake. Not a piece of land on which you can sow crops.

Ash,
in most cases we also go weak and make that extra effort to get a baby out of our womb... So it's not just the men, but we women also, who, together have to take the responsibility to change the perspective of the world.
The dance class I am a part of helps Americans adopt kids from India... I have to give it to them for their broad mindedness, because some of them adopted are differently able. I have to admit, I dont have such a large heart.
Tomorrow, if I end up having difficulty in conceiving and decide to adopt a kid, I will look for a pretty girl (why not boy? Well thats just my choice lol). I still have a long way to go to reach that degree of kindness, but at least I will never ever try to conceive to prove a point. I will have a kid because I want to.. If I cannot I will adopt. If I torture my body, I cannot expect the world to understand my plight !

Finally, we call it an 'Infertility clinic'.. Labeling starts at the grass root level :(

Soha herself said it was incorrect. Making Sonakshi going in circles when Soha mentioned that she is worried that her father won't be keep her happy because he wasn't good for her mother which means that she doesn't want to see her mother harassed. Dev said that had Sona approached him, he'd have forgot everything which is totally bull since he was not the injured party and yes, the ethic statement was even bigger lie.

I doubt he will give the same threat to his mother as he gave Sonakshi. In fact I can guarantee that the tone and language including physical intimidation will be completely different. But that's nothing new for him.

I totally agree with you about Ishwari's motive. That's exactly what I think is in her mind.

Well, since Dev is showing his fighting spirit for his daughter, good for him. I don't know why Sonakshi should even get back with him again though. He has done absolutely nothing for her.

again u r going into dev went wrong in saying those things...I am tired of that...yes dev has done many things wrong...now wat...we hv to move on na...but I will still reply to some of his statements...yes he was wrong in blaming her but like I said this misunderstanding will soon be cleared...secondly he said he wud hv forgotten everything had she approached him 6 yrs back...there too dev spoke from his perspective...he felt sona left him for gud (thanx to ishwari who did not let her meet dev wen she came with the baby). .In relationship brkups each party feels the grief...in all these yrs he was in grief (yes sona was too)...it is apparent he has not moved on the way sona has moved on so it is natural for him to blame her from his standpoint...that he is wrong that we know as viewers and he will know soon too since he is in darkness about few things like ishwari's game on the last day how she told dev to move to another house with sona and to sona she said tum dono alag ho jao...moreover he is yet to learn about the damaging clause in prenup which stated that he wud hv no rights over his child if divorce hapens...
its no more about who is wrong...there is misunderstanding from both sides like sona thinks it is dev who drove her away wen she came the baby...
it is high time things move towards a positive note with dev taking right kind of stands for his family and against his mom who shows no sign of remorse let alone redemption...already I am liking how dev does not want to do anything further widout soha's consent...at least he is proving to be a better father than a husband...

I am happy that me and my husband are never physical while fighting. Forget about being physical, problem with me is I lose my voice during fights so I stay mum listen to him and later when I am calm I let him know what I feel Sometimes people dont even get that we are fighting 😆

Penchant-kaun - beautiful is the only word I've for the synopsis you gave from a book by R. Tagore. I've never read any of his books, except those in school years. Will surely find this book and read. Thank you.
