As of now, not Ishwari, not Dev, my hit list contains Mamta, Durjoy Dutt, Mahesh guy and Yash - The makers of this show... I am sure their lives are full of tragedy and the wives are really unfortunate to have married such men who are MCP to THIS level !

Dev manhandling Sonakshi, pushing her to the corner to a point where she gets scared, playing dirty mind games and harassing her - Are these the activities CVs want to do with the females at their house but cannot do due to law and restrictions hence torturing sane viewers by making their MLs do this to their FLs ? Pathetic !

Abuse to the extreme. I hope Soha sees all these actions and decides for herself. Such classless father and father's family she has got ๐Ÿคข.

I just got an enlightenment - all of us are using our feminist cards to bash Dev, always, when he's absolutely right. And now you want to go one level up and call the makers MCPs? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Dev is THE MATURE guy because he handled the revelation of the truth to a 6 year old kid so emotionally well controlled and Sona is the STUPID one who told her 6 year old baby wrong things about her father ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

You see now how, pyaar gives the haq for manhandling? Don't you know Sona deserved that treatment from Dev for depriving him of his daughter for 6 long years?!!! How DARE Sona do that to the most handsome, most honest and most caring MAN like Dev Dixit.

We must be FCPs!! Whatever that means ๐Ÿคช Looks like I am blabbering in my fever

I just finish reading a thread 'Dev needs a psychiatrist' and my reaction was why only poor baby Dev? Why not entire Dixit family? Entire family is weirdo and abnormal.

Episode was totally familiar. I remember watching something similar, not exactly similar, but many similarities are there. Didnt they copy many things from kasauti zindgi kii? Anurag came to know sneha is his daughter. But Dev is sane enough who never called his own daughter as an illegitimate child unlike infamous Anurag.

Episode was overall funny. Vicky saying Dev bhai should play his family game outside house to Ex Garib ki beti, as if he was the one who earned everything. ๐Ÿ˜† Bu that's the specialty of Dixit clans, without doing any effort, they need taiyaar maal. Just like Dev saying sohana mere pas khud ayegi. I was like ๐Ÿ˜† Why on this earth a 6 years old would come to a stranger leaving her entire family behind. Come on, sonakshi's daughter cant be dumbo like Elena who would dump her entire family for a worthless person.

Overall it's a proved theory, it's ishu maa who is master mind behind ruining life of his forever '8 saal ka toddler' she didnt even inform dev about sonakshi wanted to meet him. You cannot blame her, she might have thought what if sonakshi asks for a part in precious property, afterall she was a gold digger. But, thanks to her soha got a normal childhood which was impossible in Dixit asylum.

Darling, you see, that doesn't bother me. If we are FCPs or whatever it is and demanding higher standard for men, it's good naa. We are also getting higher standard of men. Many of us are living a very happy and healthy life with a great life partner and the single ones among us will never settle for MCPs. So they will also live a great life.

Let others be happy with Dev types. We are hardly dying to get a husband like Dev. ๐Ÿ˜†

Neela please even the sarcasm hurts ok ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜†

Yes. Pyar gives the haq. Such a fool Sona was when she was blabbering like 'Mujhe aur koi nahi hurt kar sakta'. Ab bhukto ๐Ÿฅฑ๐Ÿ˜†.

I just now got done watching 'Mrinal ki chiththhi' (Strir Potro) story by R. Tagore. ๐Ÿ‘ What a story, what a character, just a FRESH patch of feminist wings (if you call me that, PROUD Feminist ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ƒ). The central character Mrinal in SO many ways represents stories like Sonakshi and MANY of the women even till date. Some excerpts from her letter to her husband :

'One thing I have always noticed, in this house, it was never about if I am happy there or not, it was always about how I keep OTHERS happy' - Direct representation of Sona's case in Dickshit mansion.

'You cannot directly be rude to a poor girl who stays at your house for shelter because you are scared of my strength of honesty and your status in the society, hence, you come up with ways and ideas on manipulating the poor girl to make an exit' - OH SO Ishwari. ๐Ÿ‘ The mask of goodness is still in tact to hide the bare dark evil soul inside her. ๐Ÿคข

'I got a little too much educated to be fit as the bahu of your house. As soon as I entered the house, everyone started pin-pointing each of my flaws with so much of care. However, you have completely turned your eyes on the pain of my initial days at your home, you never cared' - OMG ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I was shocked and pinched myself to check if Mrinal is Sona or not. ๐Ÿ˜•

'I am never going to return to that house again, because the small petty double standards against women will not allow me to do the things I want to do with my life. It took 15 yrs for me to recognize the shallowness and double standards at your place, but better late than never' - And with this, I was SURE that it was Sona's ancestor in Mrinal ๐Ÿ‘.

When Mrinal informs her husband about her going to Puri and her husband says 'Maa will not permit, Mrinal says 'Tell her I am going to pray for a kid' and there comes a monologue - 'I know this is ONE excuse which you and your mother will never be able to resist'. ------------ Dev and Ishwari ???? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

****************************

Hats off to Rabindranath Tagore (Although I am not his fan to be precise, but his writing and specially some female characters, no superlatives). 100 yrs back he represented the double standards of this society and on how the women are treated in their in-laws as nothing more than a commodity and tool to bear the heir of their family. And 100 yrs later we are watching a series where the Hero treats the woman like shit and the Mother-Son duo doesn't even acknowledge that as a human being Sonakshi deserves respect first, later as a mother. ๐Ÿคข If 100 yrs back a fictional character can take such bold step of coming out of her conservative suffocated marriage, why cannot we expect the same from Sonakshi ? I hope she never ever returns to the Bull-house and endorse the regressive thoughts the family holds in the name of 'vaaris', 'khoon' etc ๐Ÿคข

Arre Dixit Mansion mein conversation hota kahan hain? Hoti hain to sirf speech. Har koi lambi fenkta rehta hain.

You are talking about Doctor's thread. Lol...

Lol.. if nothing else, at least Dev trusts Sonakshi because she never lies. That's the same reason Sonakshi doesn't trust him. He always lies.

Ishwari is mastermind behind everything. From raising Dev in a vacuum isolated from all relationships, strategically removing Sonakshi, then bringing her back, getting pre-nup prepared and signed, then harassing Sonakshi, then getting her family insulted and her thrown out, then not telling Dev about Sonakshi and continuously telling him that Sonakshi never came back. Everything is her masterplan. She should have been a politician. Kya chaal chalti hain yeh aurat.

@ Bold - Astha - Never, never. Trust me none can despise Anraag for that infamous incident more than me. ๐Ÿ˜† But if you see the episode - Anurag was on his knees, with folding hands, hardly uttered few words and stayed mum when Prerna gave it back to him left right and centre. ๐Ÿ‘ For Anurag's case, he still hated Prerna much for all her lies and messed-up priorities, but those were not the first thoughts that came into his mind, his reactions mostly was on how he failed himself and Prerna in love and trust issues, and how it was not his Mom, but his own conscious decision to breakup his marriage. Amidst all my hatred for Anraag, I love watching few episodes of these time and again because of the way he expressed his failure ๐Ÿ‘.

And Dev shocked me with absolutely NO concern for Sonakshi on how she managed her pregnancy, how she managed in Delhi. His blabbering about Soha made me puke. ๐Ÿคข A woman is worth nothing if she cannot produce a kid - The motto of Dickshits. ๐Ÿคข Hope Soha rejects the selfish clan right on their faces. ๐Ÿ˜ก

And that means something is wrong with us naa??!๐Ÿ˜ณ That's why we missed on good things in life like Dev D's ๐Ÿฅฑ

Dev D. reminds me of my small in number male classmates during MS. Every girl needed to be an eye candy for these guys. And the day I entered the class without my glasses, one of them asked me if my glasses broke?! I was like bhaiyya, shayad tumhare chashma pehnne ke din aane waale hain ๐Ÿ˜†

These same guys I got to hear were shocked that I had a love marriage that too with a non-Maharashtrian! Can never get myself to be at par with such men's logic ๐Ÿ˜• I could never even be friend with any of them, forget about falling for them. Thank my feminism for that? ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

OMG, Guddi. I remember Strir Patra. I read it such a long time ago that it completely disappeared from my memory. Growing up in a ultra liberal family, when I read it as a teenager, I remember thinking, "Thank God we don't live in that era anymore". But turns out more than 100 years later, we are still living in the same era. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

While watching the episode I realized that, for the umpteenth time Dev cries about his pain, his sorrow, his life blah blah. But for the first time I was happy Sona was mum and gave him a befitting reply that he was alive thanks to her. ๐Ÿ‘

How I adore women who doesn't indulge into self-pity and finds positivity and strength in everything. Reminds me of the Diwali episode Sona. ๐Ÿ˜› Because the girl doesn't SPEAK out on her struggle and pain, she tends to be taken for granted. May be that's why an MCP like Dev tries to push her more to the corner to the breakeven point. But alas, hardly Dev knows the inner strength of this kind of iron-girl. ๐Ÿ‘ Even if she reaches the point, she has got a wonderful family like Baba-Maa-Dadi-Dada to boost her morale and bring her back in the game. MCPs like Dev, no matter how much they try, will never be able to see the vulnerable side of such women because they simply don't deserve it. Had men like Dev had some honest intention to bring out the tears out of these women so that they feel light, may be women would have considered doing so. But it's all about stroking the Male Ego for these men which iron-girls recognize pretty fast. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ It's not like girls like Sona (or me) don't break down ever, but we don't show it to any XYZ who would find 'happiness' in my tears. ๐Ÿ˜Š

This way, Dev is unaware of 2 most sensitive emotions of Sonakshi - the power and extreme of her strength as well as her weakness. Men like Devs are the most loathsome MCPs who somehow get the women of their lives, but can never truly reach out to the deepest soul inside them. And I say it is for the better โค๏ธ. Baring soul needs lots of sensitivity which clearly these kind of men lack in a wholesome.

********

Whoosh ! Sorry for such emotional content. ๐Ÿ˜› Too much of thoughts a Tagore story triggers in me. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Tia, it's a MUST watch. Do you have Netflix account ? It's in Episode 19 of 'Stories by Rabindranath Tagore' series directed by Anurag Basu. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
