Today we have Mr Christian Grey from 50 shades about whom many teenagers fantasise. In real life,Christian Grey would be seen a psychotic, deranged man from whom it's better to keep a safe distance.Still many teenagers and even adults tend to fall for the Mr Grey archetype because he is supposed to be 'passionate'.No offence meant to anyone who likes the books or the movies.A friend of mine, who was also once a part of IF and was attracted to ASR from IPK divorced her husband because he was possessive, extra passionate and self-centered... That's thedifference between appreciating the madness on screen and actually being a victim of it.Similarly in India, earlier we had some writers wrote some of the most beautiful stories and created beautiful characters.Kalidasa's heroes were the ones whom I will call passionate. And the most common justification for today's jerks is that they are imperfect and flawed.Do they really wanna know what a flawed character actually is?? Mahendra from Tagore's novel Chokher Bali is the classic example of a flawed character. He was imperfect and flawed but his character was beautifully written.Movies mostly dont make justice to novels so I usually skip them, but I had seen a documentary on Choker Bali and was highly impressed by the characterization. The only decent novel to movie I have seen in the recent times is 'Gone Girl'. I was still left with wanting more, but at least I was not greatly disappointed.Today in the name of flawed and imperfect characters we will get Durjoy Dutta's novels' heroes who get away with all their nonsense in the name of passionate love.IMO some modern authors have greatly degraded the concept of passionate love.None of us are black or white, but while we continue to be gray, we are appreciated for the white art of it and condemned, redeemed for the black part. But in most soaps and movies, the blacks are tagged as passionate, emotional, kiddish, childish love etc.Now coming back to our topic, yup.Teenagers do get attracted to the love stories on TV and Aunties to the Bhoot-Pret drama. As I said it's because something like that is possible only on TV.Everything is made so attractive and overhyped.Perfect Bahus like Gopi Vahu are impossible to exist in reality. That's why the TRP Aunties get their satisfaction by watching her shed buckets of tears onscreen. You bet 😆KRPKAB as you said is an exception which drew attention from all the age groups. And people belonging to different age groups will view the situation differently. This is the reason why they should be extremely careful in how they deal with their characters and execute their tracks.Because the audience will have a variety of perceptions.

There's going to be a topic today, no? Because I'm refreshing the main page in the hope of grabbing a spot on the first page. 😆
