Honest Question : why is there so much anger on Jatin?
Just because a couple looks good together, are they end game? Sure Devakshi loved each other a lot. But they didn't understand each other well.

Dev was expecting Sona to just adapt into his life and tag along as it were. She on the other hand , thought she could actually be a part of the family enough to enrich it.

No. They didn't want her to change anything. She was supposed to just go along and blend in. That's what Elena did and she has a 7 year happy marriage of dubious principles.

Here, GKB was the better MIL than Ishwari, why?
Because Vicky set the ground rules for his mom, and she toed the line. Elena doesn't care about anything. She takes care of her own career, and her kid. The rest can go where they like.

Sona's mistake was she wanted to be an executive part of the family too. That's her personality, she is a do-er, leader not a follower. She's a dominant type personality. And that's not wrong at all. These types need strong spined mature husbands with their priorities on straight. If not the dominant woman will seek to correct the weaknesses she sees. Democracy is her way. Give and receive respect.

That's what she's getting from Jatin. It's obvious Ritwik and Jatin were mature enough to give her that. See how Sona accepts Jatin's calm interference . He knew she was being goaded by Dev, and he just removed her from there.

The new Dev is an interesting man. He finally sees the situation around him in his family, and even told his mom off for expecting a little too much from Sonakshi. This Dev will stand between his mom and Sonakshi , telling his mom to back off.

But the Dev who wants to punish Sonakshi for leaving, still fails to understand her.

Very meaningful post. I haven't read many posts on anger being directed at Jatin, but, the only episode on Jatin's entry do far has shown him to be a 'good friend' (from Sonakshi's side) and a confidante too (precap). I couldn't digest the way she leapt into his arms, probably because I firmly believing in drawing a line while handling relationships. 😃 What role he plays in Sonakshi's life remains to be seen! Bijoy-Asha's take on Jatin's role already is related to marriage. I hope Sonakshi doesn't get brainwashed again. She is shown capable of taking her own decisions and stands by it. Let her be.

Agree with whatever you said.

It takes years to become an executive member of a family. Sona wanted it to be done asap and got hurt in the process. This was actually due to very diverse family backgrounds.

Sona came from a family where there were no boundaries, no hidden limits, no hidden agendas.

Dixit family was full of them. So when Sona tried to apply the bose lifestyle in Dixit house, it automatically led to resistance and resentment.

Even in an organisation it takes lots of top driven efforts to bring about Change as it is the most difficult to achieve and most old hands are change averse and consider it a threat to their positions. Usually there are huge management upheavals done to implement change.

Inspite of all this, it is still easier in an organisation. But how can it be done within a few days in a family where you yourself are new and your position insecure. Obviously insecure members of the family with hidden agendas like Neha and gkb ganged up against Sona to remove her from their family.

Actually it is the age old story of rabbit and the tortoise. Slow and steady always wins when it comes to relationships.

The bigger problem was that Dev was an extraordinarily low EQ individual who could never clearly communicate these things and his family boundaries and issues to his wife. He will only say, let it be, don't do this. But would never be able to articulate why.

Add to it his mummy obsession and the result was for all to enjoy and Dev, Sona and Soha to suffer.

All you gals who wrote awesome analysis - kudos to you and a big round of applause.
@sam Sona's perception of her fairytale was superb. I just finished watching Friday's episode. Gosh... I sorely want a let up in the office-office game... starting to feel annoyed now. The Bose family - like many of you - I find them a bit off now. I get that they've been through a lot with the Dixits but right from the beginning they've never warmed up to Dev and it rankles me -except for Asha, Daadi and Saurab - who are now in the 'Dev's-a-non-entity' state. now golden Bengali boy Jatin is blinding them with his halo 😆 . Coming to Jatin, I too get a friendship vibe only from Sona, though I think he may want to be more than friends. Sona, still hiding Soha behind her skirts is a big NO for me. Watching Golu with his bigcha I can feel how much both Soha and Dev are missing out. Maybe Sona needs to see Dev with Golu to make her feel guilty about keeping Soha and Dev away from each other. Sona darling, how long do you think you can hide Dev's lil princess behind your skirts? I don't want an obvious expression of Dev's jealousy. Don't want another Dev ki dewaangi, but I would not mind a Sona ki dewaangi because at the moment I can't see an iota of love feelings for Dev. As many have pointed out she's not the one to hang out her feelings for all to see not even to Dev so I would like to see her slowly crumble and acknowledge that she's never stopped loving Dev.
P.S : I'm restraining myself from thinking anything bad about the new entry. For now he's a nuisance. But the moment he comes between our beloved Devakshi - he's dead 😆

Hello all you wonderful writers!
I have been a silent reader of this thread since it was started and I love reading it.

But seeing the way you all put forward your thoughts so beautifully, i was hesitant to put forward mine because I'm not that good at expressing my point of view.

But this week I decided to take a leap of faith and jump into the thread and try my hand at it too!

So I hope I can fit in with all you lovely people here!

And thank you Samanalyse for making this beautiful place at a time where the forum is going through a hike in negativity.

This is so soothing, like a breath of fresh air.

And all of you are amazing.

hoping to join you here regularly!😃

It's interesting that you mention this, because after separation, the focus seems to be on what Dev and Sona couldn't give each other. It reminded me of when Ishwari told Dev that there were other women who, unlike Sona, would have stood by their commitment and stayed no matter what, even if it were a question of life and death. Dev rightly dismissed this, and I think it's because the part of him that undestands Sona knows what she did give him. That acceptance and emotional security is not something every girl would be able to provide him, no matter how long she was willing to stay in a marriage made empty by Ishwari's constant manipulation. His anger may stem from what he thinks she failed to give him, but his love was born of the things she did bring into his life.

Similarly, with Sona, there are any number of men who can give her what Dev didn't, but the question remains open as to whether there are other men who can give her what Dev did -- the reason she fell for him in the first place. In my understanding, that thing is romance and excitement. This idea was further reinforced by the story she told when he was injured. He is the one who picked her out of the crowd and filled her life with the colour she craved. I think that is possibly the reason her relationship with Jatin remains platonic (obviously we need to see more to know for sure). The Boses, especially Bijoy, see themselves as perfect so it makes perfect sense to bring someone just like them into the fold. But the way I am beginning to understand Sona, she wants more than what her family provides in terms of life experience. She likes the drama and wants the adventure.

I know this was a bit tangential to your post, but it's a thought that occurred to me as I read. Let me know what you all think!
