Today was really one of the better episodes and I thoroughly enjoyed it...It showed what Ishwari thinks and how Dev thinks. In the episode where they showed Ishwari's FB of her conversation with Dev regarding the breakup, Dev says "tumne mujhe apni farz toh sikaya, par meri marzi nahi poochi". I feel this is where Dev is frustrated the most. When Ishwari got herself slapped she not only took away his identity but also his free will. She never thought of asking what he wanted to do or what his dreams and aspirations where. She never thought of him as anything other than her 8 yr old son to whom she was everything. I think when Dev willingly shouldered her responsibilities she saw him as her partner and themselves as the team and her daughters as their family(I know it sounds weird, but some how feels true in her case).

I think Ishwari never thought Dev would need anybody else other than her as she is. She wanted to be the perfect mother as Sam mentioned. Society, maamaji and Dev fueled her illusion by putting her on the pedestal and calling her god. She has got used to being Dev's god so much that she does not want him to act as himself. People are supposed to act as per god's will right? 😉 And god never makes mistakes. what ever god does is for that persons own good, right.

I think the reason Ishwari still blames Sonakshi and her family is because they did not conform to her idea of how the wife, DIL and brides family should be. They showed the loopholes of her upbringing. She still thinks all the decisions that she took on behalf of Dev were correct, because she has not really seen any negative consequences( from her perspective). I mean she took the decision of prenup -- she saved Dev's business and money from a gold digger, she made Dev give Vickky a higher post in his company -- Vickky took care of the office these last 7 yrs when her son was not doing his job etc... The truth about the extent of Vickky and maami's villainy is the only thing that can help Ishwari understand the consequences of her actions and decisions.

Coming to today's episode I loved the subtle hints that they showed especially in regards to Dev - Sonia's relationship.

1) In the conversation with Sonakshi in front of his house, Dev asks her if she was there to meet her "old family" or his mother -- if Dev and Sonakshi are divorced how is his family still related to her. I don't think they are legally divorced. Just my POV

2) When Dev gets to know about possibility of earthquake, he calls the CA and asks him if there were any employees still working in "hamare office". Wasn't he the one who was shouting till even yesterday's episode that it was HIS company. But the when the CA repeats the same words he realizes what he actually said. It was vey telling.

3) the last dialogue of the episode -- only I can hurt you. It reminded me of his dialogue during the fight regarding Ritwick's loan cancellation and building. That time Dev had said "tum pe, tumhare aasoan pe, tumhare har cheez pe haq tha aur rahega". In shimla he said "feel pain when you are hurt". All of these are where he is saying that anything negative in her life she feels are his. He is happy when she is happy, but feels her pain... Did he really leave Sonakshi to fend for herself when she was evacuated from her home in the middle of the night. I seriously doubt it. I strongly feel that Dev kept track of her in his own way. Maybe more professionally than personally.

4) Both the time they showed the tremors, they showed Sonakshi as shaken, but Dev standing firm. Maybe CVs are hinting that in upcoming episodes Dev will be the stronger one in their relationship and Sonakshi will be the vulnerable one.

Looking forward to how the story unfolds. It is becoming really interesting... 😃

P.S: I wanted to say this to Vickky and maami today -- your time starts now. Like how they say at the beginning of an exam or a quiz (like game shows)... 😃

Yesterday's episode just came a full circle of confrontations n conversations. Started with Ishwari and ended with her too.

It all started with Ish the great confronting Asha to tell her that Sona shudnt trouble her 8yr old son any more. We saw a world of difference in parenting styles n needless to say matured sensible Asha with fewer words won hands down. Ish blame game has now shifted from Sona to Asha...offcourse as per Ish a mother has to be blamed for their children's mistakes. So for all Dev's antics n mistakes...we know where to point the finger. But why Asha just didn't ignore Ishwari. Still not able to understand why Sona n Bose fam not trying to stay away from Dixits...aren't they afraid that if their interactions increase..Dixits wud know abt Soha.

Then Asha Sona lovely conversation. This scene exactly looked the KRPKAB we always loved...friendly, positive vibes, emotional n subtle. Just loved d fact that Asha was sitting in boss's chair 👏

Then Sona passed on all Ishwari's taunts back to Dev. I found this scene thoroughly entertaining. Till now Sona was getting flustered and angry with Dev...but in this scene she was really funny n sarcastic. Mumma Mumma ...Sona ofc nahi chod rahi 😆
Bechara Dev, all his cool dude act went for a toss. And Khargosh learnt driving too 😉

Then Dev passed on all insults from Sona...with interest to the source of all this hungama..ie. Ishu maiyaa. Deadly scene with some great dialogues. Dev was getting a bit normal with Ish in last few episodes but when she decided to again interfere in his life, again blame Sona for all their miseries..Dev has no patience any more. And am glad Dev gave a good reply to Mamaji too. This guy just doesn't knw wats right and wats wrong. He thinks of himself that he is this mahaan guy and love to give advice..but guess wat Mamaji..no one listening to ur half baked advices any more. If ur advice were nt there, Dev wud not hav broken up with Sona in the first place.

And finally some hilarious moments courtesy that earthquake...Dev watched Tv for the first time. Instead of telling his family members to take care ..he rushed to ofc to take care of his love Sona. N when she told she needs to make a call first..his 'You are impossible' was a pleasant surprise. The lift, intense eyelock, Sona holding his shirt tightly ..Dev holding her arms so tightly when they came out of ofc..by the way their ofc is on which floor 😉😆 Dev just wanted to help a stubborn girl but he didn't expect to get affected by such closeness. He was completely lost in her...n only when she jerked his hand..he came back to reality n again started with his 'I dnt give a damn attitude' 😆

Sona was angry at first..but the jolt made her hold on to him strongly n she for the first time saw her old Dev in him. The way he never used to care abt her reaction n used to hold her hand when they had initially met. Then after that her eyes just couldn't stop staring him...😉 She could hv easily walked out of the ofc...but why bother when u have the option of getting wrapped in Dev's arms 😆. After the second jolt..n Dev again held her in his arms..Sona immediately realised how weak she wud be appearing infront of him n the facade comes back on.

Wud love to see today's episode starting with both still thinking abt this moment. And then Dev Golu conversation abt love n Dev talking abt Sona indirectly. 😳

Till yesterday I thought Dev 2.0 is fearless but looks like he is only afraid of this dangerous saas-bahu union. On one hand he warned Sona to stay away from his mother on the other hand he warned his mother to stay away from Sona and his life. Unfortunately Dev babu you can't live in peace for long.

Some how yesterday's confrontations didn't make me excited much. The reason is in season one also we had many powerful confrontation scenes which were really outstanding but served nothing in terms of story growth. They were there to cool down viewers frustrations. I feel the same saga continues now. May be makers are thinking that the day ishwari's realization happens that day this serial will not have any story to tell. If so then let's go with the flow. The best thing is this guy finally understood where to draw line when it comes to relationships but this lesson came with a heavy price.

Sona dear, I am clearly getting that you haven't moved an inch from the farm house still and it very much reflects in your direct taunts and digs towards Dev. But don't forget that there is a thin line between attitude and arrogance, if you go on like this without understanding current changed equations then you are going to regret very badly in future. I hope you will come out from past bitterness and face the present ASAP.

One of my friend writes review on each episode daily and today she wrote this and it kinda shook me a bit..I dont know if you guys have noticed this before ever but I certainly did for the first time and it got me thinking

"I just realized that Papa's girl' is something to be proud of but Mama's boy' is something to be ashamed of. Why is one praise-worthy & great and the other cringe-worthy & derogatory? Gender bias, anyone?!!! Point to ponder!"

How amusing !!

Nice to read all POVs ,guys . Episode was very much entertaining with the additional casting of one of the natural calamities & i'll also welcome even hurricanes or tsunamies if they'll hav this kind of deep impact on our tashan minded couple. 😆
Ishwari -asha face off showed an insight as how much one ( b it mother , father or anyone) need to involve / interfere in one's life even if it's their kids. Ishwari still feels that she need to interfere in her son's life in every possible way. But asha allows sona to take her own decisions. The last dialogue of ishwari has a huge significance .She said , "muche pehle bhi aap se umeed nahi dhi aur aaj bhi nahi..behther yehi hota ki hamare raste kabhi milte nahi, agar mile toh bhi , undekha kar deti...kyun ki hum logo ke beech aisa kuch reha hi nahi jise yaad karke muskuraaya jaay.. " The irony is muskurane ki vajai pehle bhi dhi, aaj bhi hai ..suhana bose .

Another contrasting thing i noticed during dev -sona confrontation was wen sona said that she came to meet his mom, dev said that his mother is living there peacefully& he don want sona to disturb her. But after that wat hapnd ? Dev himself lashed out on his mother . It was really due for a very long time & i thoroughly enjoyed.

Coming to the earth quake scenario... which way is good..running for life by u'rself or carrying a healthy person in one's arms ?? 😆 yeahh i know, she was reluctant @ first to leave the office. Anyways i enjoyed that scene very much ..haq hai but farq nahii..

Now it's sona's turn to hav haq n farq...lets c 😃

Such a thought provoking lines mahua Di!!
isnt it amusing how on the name of feminism we accept and praise anything!
But expect the males in our society to be superheroes...balance work, wife, mother etc etc

Also if u follow Indian idol,
A contestant there spoke on the similar lines...
He said...in a man's life he can love a female the most and that female can be his mother need not be his wife!!
The gender bias is soo huge!!

The problem arises when a wife wants all of her husband and refuses to understand that a man was first a son, a brother and then a husband. Besides, feminism seems to be a fashionable word. 😃 In this soap, Sonakshi understood Ishwari, but Ishwari didn't understand Dev. Ishwari was averse to change and was unwilling to share Dev and always insecure that Sonakshi would snatch her son away from her. All her insecurities resulted in Dev being torn between his mother and wife. The only reason why he lied about Sonakshi's pregnancy. Sad place for a man to be!! In real life!

Feminism is all about independence and respect for women and treating them as equals. I follow Indian Idol and applauded the contestant for having said that. 😃

The definition of feminism has become so distorted and single sided that a judge stating that if a wife refuses to let the husbands parents stay with them, it is a valid ground of divorce for the husband - is considered as the sign of regressive Indian society. If the same judge had said that if the wife wants to take divorce on the grounds that she has no one to care for her parents and her husband doesn't like them, he would have been applauded and the judgement declared landmark.
I remember a subordinate who insisted that she couldn't make client visits or stay late as she was a female but created a huge scene when I gave a higher rating to her male colleague.

That is why I like this show. The leads are normal. The heroine is neither tyaag ki moorti nor mahila mukti morcha activist. Just normal human being who understood her husbands situation and weaknesses till he ended up crossing the unforgivable line. Even today she is not playing the female card anywhere. She is fighting like an equal and should be applauded for it.

@livelife321 I understand your emotion amd lack of excitement and somewhere agree that such powerful scenes were their in past too and probably were theor to calm down viewers

First thing first the mantra I really like to believe in and try to follow myself with this season 2 too is forget the past and dont bother about future, same I will say about this scene too ..What happened in yesterday's episode scene is what matter for the time being we dont know what will happen after 10 episodes but we can surely enjoy what has already happened..yes this scene will not change Ishwari's dynamics overnight or will not suddenly knock senses in to her all of sudden but atleast according to me this scene was more like first genuine venting out of Dev..and trust me on that..the situation will not change much even story will go change dramatically..again you will see equally interfering Logicless Ishwari..again you will see softer polite Dev ..but why it held importance in a way because it showcased the "changed" Dev , he might eat the food, he might even try to be cordial with Ishwari to praise her effort for cooking , he might come to house to see her twice in week , He might perform all his duties but when the situation will arrive he will speak up, and will not think twice about it..He can stand against Ishwari for HIMSELF..when his life will get disturbed due to her..He is not the Dev who halfheartedly used to try to make Ishwari understand always feeling weak due to her emotional sagas but he sternly said everything..clearly showed his annoyance without feeling even an ounce of regret or hurt seeing Ishwari in her ever so pity-Me-mode, dukhiyari avatar..Had it been old Dev he would melted in fraction of seconds and would have politely softly pacified her in any possible way like he did when Ishwari was upset from him coz he addressed Asha as mothr he instantly pleased her but this Dev is detached devoid of emotions and will not allow any meddling from Ishwari..Now his life is all about him infact yesterday the conversation was about "meri life" "meri problem" "meri khushi" instead of "tera dard" "tera dukh" "teri khushi"..which was his motto for 28 years of his life...and now the situation is different...Like you said he knows where to draw boundaries now and the price he has paid for this has taught him ..so I hope this lesson he has learnt is their to stay..His every line held so much angst it hit me right on point...a part of his bottled up emotions came out..still their is alot more left inside him..

And yes the day Ishwari's realisation will happen things will sort out but what cvs are planning is hard to predict So yes its better to go with the flow
