Looking back that was the first honest conversation that Dev and Sonakshi had after their patch up and marriage. This was the first time where Sonakshi was completely vulnerable and Dev could offer his support.

Comparing it to the episodes now, the story has to reach there for them to once again tell the truth about their feelings, not just to others, but to themselves. Both Dev and Sonakshi need to admit their true feelings regarding everything. Even what the words they said on the night in the farmhouse to themselves.

I feel Soha will get to know Dev before knowing him as her dad. This will probably cause confusion to her in the way that he will be so different than what her mom projected him to be. Both Dev and Sonakshi will continue to hurt each other and will probably stop only when they see how this is affecting Soha. And Soha will be affected because she will not be able to understand how Sona can be right and wrong at the same time in terms of Dev. She may be the person who will show them how different they are now.

I also think the truths will come out in regular intervals(just like in season 1. I mean Sonakshi first thought Dev was cruel, but slowly she came to know his good side) regarding everyone. I also felt watching Elena yesterday that she will not support Vickky if she comes to know the real extent of his manipulations and his role in separating Dev and Sonakshi. Vickky may end up loosing more than he bargained for and in that despair he may drag maami along with him revealing her role...

As to the characters still remaining the same at the core, they have shown that many times. Dev still cares for his mom(may not be as blindly as before), but still cares the same to make sure that she takes her medicine on time, that he goes to meet her when maami says Ishwari was sad and stayed only in her room. and also ensures that none of the needs of his family is not fulfilled. he does all these, along with taking care of his happiness too.

Sona on the other hand had always put her family before her, even when she accepted the job with Dev in the initial episodes, she thought of them more than her. She even says the same to Dev when her proposal with Kushal is broken. All she has done in the past 7 years was to give back what her family lost because of her(she feels she is responsible). Whatever she is doing, she is thinking this will give back her family's respect. I feel that is one of the things that she is looking from Dev.

Hopefully the CVs have some good way of moving the story forward...😃

Shaavi... one thing i wanted to point out...
When Soha asked Sona if her dad was a bad man... Sona clearly said " No .. he is a good man ... sirf mamma keliye good nahi the"...

So even if Soha meets dev and she has her opinion .. how is that contradicting to Sona's view (what view did Sona project to soha)... as she clearly said dev is a very good man but he wronged Sona... and she couldnt be with him...

I feel Soha wont be dragged into any of the emotional turmoil. strictly my pov

She offered them to Dev and even forced him to take them, with his hand. I really liked that. 😳 Would she have even bothered to insist if the office belonged to someone else! So, what do you want from Dev, Sonakshi? The last scene of switching off the lights reminded me that Sonakshi was scared of darkness. Is Dev trying to encase? Has Sonakshi overcome the fear?

I actually felt like Sona was being a little flirty with the sweets. Like not with the intention to get Dev, but with the intention to show Dev what he couldn't have, the same way he was when he told her that she still looked beautiful when she was angry. I'd love to see a lot more of that between them, that is subtle mind games, rather than these loud, public displays.

Glad you liked the post on Soha! I have a feeling that is precisely how Soha is going to meet her father. Golu has already asked him to come and sort her out, after all. I think Dev will help Soha make her first friend in Golu. What a lovely milestone for him to be part of after all that she has missed. 😊

In that scene Sonakshi's words did not match the emotions on her face or demeanor. Sonakshi did say you can talk to your dad to Soha, but when Soha said she will do so, Sonakshi was tensed. Soha also saw Bijoy's reaction to the name Dev and by her telling that she will live with her dad... Whether we like it or not or openly word it, children easily pick up on the subtle body language especially of their parents.

My daughter is 6 and she knows what buttons to push at times and also when I am tensed or stressed. I don't have to spell it out for her. My son is the same... I feel Soha is the same. She probably picked up on the subtle clues Sonakshi gave while talking about Dev and more clearly from Bijoy's outburst... Children also learn to look at someone right or wrong from parents perspective until they learn to independently judge someone. From Soha's point of view what is not good for mom, how can it be good for me is what she will think.

This is what I meant and Soha will definitely be pulled into the emotional turmoil... But she will also be the reason why Dev and Sona will stop their fighting and talk sensibly. 😊

I think after this school incident fighting with that boy, Soha will be more curious about her father and may ask Sona to meet him once. There was one spoiler also stating Soha demands meeting her father. Will Sona agree or Dev will find out by other means. CVs are unpredictable? what they will show ?

His feelings of love and his words of "you are always right, Ms. Bose" is not letting him to go beyond a certain limit even when she says really personal insults.
I don't think Dev is really interested in playing the game long-term; if he is doing it, it's with the set goal of getting Sona out of the office and out of his life. He is does't want to betray it, sure, but he is much more aware of how much she affects him and I think he would really like most of all for her to just disappear so he can go back to his happy-go-lucky existence. But Sona has a bone to pick and several points to prove. She has been waiting for this moment for the past seven years, and she isn't ready to let it slip out of her fingers!

Sonakshi reminds me of Harry Potter. In one of the books Albus Dumbledore tells Snape that although Harry looked a lot like his father on the outside and displayed most of his characters the same as dad, deep down he was his mothers son. His real personality was like Lily's. I feel it holds true for Sonakshi too. Ever since the first patch up and marriage everything Sonakshi wanted to do was make sure her dad was proud of her and her choice. It was to constantly prove that she is the best as Bijoy said she is...😊

Aw, I love this comparison, and I totally agree. One of the most important moments in Harry's relationship with his parents was his discovery of James' bullying as a teen. He had to make peace with the fact that the father he had idealised wasn't the hero he had always imagined, and that Snape had valid reasons to hate his father. The fact that Harry felt so deeply revolted at his father's attitude showed that he had a lot of his mother in him as well. I think Sona needs to have that same process... where she accepts Bijoy for the human that he is. He may be a great one, but that doesn't necessarily erase his faults.
i think this is the reason why Dev and Sonakshi are perfect for each other on so many levels...😊

@bold red. I totally agree with you. Sona at one point of time has to stop idolizing Bijoy and start listening to Asha and get back to her true self...😊

Some great insight and discussion going on in here! 👏

Shaavi and Sam, the Harry Potter reference totally caught my attention 👏 (True-Blue Potterhead 😆)
Sonakshi is indeed very similar to Harry in the sense that Harry never wanted to believe that Snape is anything but a villain. This despite the fact that Harry was aware that Snape had tried to save his life quite a few times (like the very first Quidditch match). This is also what led to a heavy confrontation between Harry and Snape in the 5th book, which resulted in Harry getting access to Snape's bitter memories. But I guess Sonakshi's silver lining, like you guys mentioned, will be the fact that she's also Asha's daughter as well.

Sam, this reminds me of a post you made sometime back where you mentioned how important it is for the audience to empathize with the different characters portrayed in this show and why they became a certain way rather than forming judgments. This same empathy is needed in the characters as well at this moment to understand each other. Maybe that's where all this is heading to.

I apologise for a bit of a random post. I haven't had the time to respond properly.
I agree with you Shaavi. Today was one of the better episodes of this season. Why? Because the facades have started falling. The hardest will be sona from what I could tell today. But still she recalled Dev's Tumi tumi and ekdom. Which means she is finding it equally hard

I don't have much to add regarding sona's reaction to the call from school. I hope we see a follow up chat between ms bose and Dr Bose about the same where the mother modulates her advice according to the age of her daughter.

Bijoy and mami need to calm down a bit.

Mamaji impressed me today. He has planted the seed in ishwari's head and as much as Ishwari wants to avoid the past and paint elena as an ideal bahu, her not-so-ideal-ex-bahu has already formed a relation with her son - neighbours.

Dev needs to stop this creepy ogling from his office. I would have freaked out if I knew someone was watching me like that all the time.

I couldn't figure out the significance of the lights out bit. Was Dev trying to catch sona in one of her weak moments and sona has actually overcome that weakness already? Fear of the dark. Or is darkness better in private because it hides the truth?

Dev definitely clued into the oddity of a call from "school" . I won't add more about sona's reaction. It's interesting how both sonakshi and Ishwari were caught in an awkward situation almost at the same time in two different situations.

Yes Dev just wants sona out-of sight asap. Pretty much how he just wanted her as his mother's nutritionist for 3 months back then. However, I don't think anyone here has a longer term plan. Till when are these two planning to share this office space? Till sona's workforce is bigger than can fit there? Or will one of them give up? Dev ain't leaving if you ask him. It's where he started. What about Boses. Are they okay with running into Dixits and vice versa? They used to live not far from each other given that Dev and Sona were talking due to he rally when the accident happened..

Oops...
I missed sooo much here...
But I purposely did...
I wanted peace n tym to put all this into my tiny mind...

Shavi Di, DQ, Sam, n other wonderful writers hatts off to u ppl..
U ppl r jus slaying...

Now that we r hell bent to bleeding of our brains..
M here too for the same... all the thanks to our lovely duo playing I don't care...n lets play n throw Tashan tashan u leave I won't...
M sharing my thoughts...

U leave I won't for me symbolized like U left n I didn't leave U...

As I read many forum friends talking abt the ph from the school scene... but here I felt that this was the point where Sona had to b reminded of...
She from the breakup has been acting like a daughter to Bijoy...
No doubt that she has been best mother for Soha...
But she is jus performing with the self of daughter n ex-wife...
She thinks is Dev n Sonakshi... but doesn't want to think abt Our daughter...
But here she is needed to remind of mother too...
Before coming to Delhi she wanted Soha to meet her father... now she is clouded only with daughter n ex-wife... all thanks to the sudden appearance n snatching game of Mr. Dev Dixit...
For me in precap Sona looked horrified... for the first tym post leap she has exposed any expression... n that too infront of Dev..

Now Dev ordered the employee to off the lights before leaving.. and the other lights off n only focused on Sonakshi . I feel now Dev is only going to focus on Sona than to offer her to leave...coz she has again refused it royally...

Well try to get back..
Thank-you all for such brilliant insights n discussions...
Loving all of Ur support...
Thank-you Sam...

@drama queen
I wont call his staring creepy..infact thrice they showed him staring and all 3 times his eyes held very different emotions..and it was quite amusing actually

First he was showed just enjoying this battle and her presense as dushman and probably analyzing this situation and got super irked when PA tried to interfere

second one.. It was more of annoyed irritated gaze..where again he saw her being all so prim and proper concentratingbon her work and not distracted at all..snd it made him kind think of some plan to get away fom her

Thirdly.. here I found him more cool calm and composed the typical season 2 Dev Dixit completely..with flask in hand concentrating on his target and it also showed he knew what he has to do to get this "dushman" out of office and evn got irritated with PA asking question ot kinda interrupted his thinking ..Also it displayed his confidence shrewedness and that little smirk in the end confirmed me that he is upto something lol

Also alng with all these expressions I also felt hurt refelcting in his eyes momentarily where it looked as he gave up on everything and the stage and state they are in is paning him but how we know he masks things so beautifully it just came and went in seconds..

Such meaning ful stares according to me..held alot spoke alot
