yaar, ishwari ko dehk dehk ke hum bhi usi ki tarah hogaye,... ankhonke saaamne sab kuch hai lekin khud to vishwas /dilasa dene ki bekaaar koshish karte hain ki joh dikh raha hai woh exist hi nahi karta... LOL

True that.

I thought of watching this leap like a season 2 only for the purpose of time pass and entertainment. But last night has rubbed me off the wrong way and I am not even able to pinpoint the exact reason as to why. Just a feeling of everything sliding down from now on I guess.

I have my own reservations on this. i am an ardent reader of all most all the posts in this forum. having come across so many who support baba bose and claim him to the best father whom a daughter can have, they would be even willing consider his shortcomings. to me what makes a parent worthy is how he/she reacts to the same situation. In a real world, there is no ideal parent. how they interact, guide and react to the needs of their kids determine their worth as parents.

i really dream that the members in the forum have the gusto to call out to each character and start shredding them to bits and pieces when they are wrong rather than try to defend them based on their biased ness.

Same to same.. Let Sona make mistakes but just because she's on the wrong let's not nullify Dev's shortcomings. If Sona is shown to be fixing her shortcomings then it's more than great thing to see.. But just covering Dev's shortcomings without even having him acknowledge them is very pity and we as audience love to do that in the name of character analysis and empathizing with the weaker section.. 🥱

true this is never a game of who does less mistakes . as humans we are bound to err. it would be more insightful if our thought process could involve an analysis on what made him/her do what he/she has done. as in it was it their inherit nature, is it triggered by external factors. so on and so forth.

the worst part is we are so engrossed in the characters, that we are missing out in enjoying the other aspects of show like no jerking camera angles, no jarring background music, no unneccessary repetition of dialogues .. so and so forth that we often get to see. even the cast in each scene is kept at bare minimum

Darling, remember no. 1 rule of TV Land.

Heroes mistakes are like chalkboard. Everytime they make a new mistake or do something good, the past deeds are wiped out. So they can start with clean slate everytime.

But Heroine's mistakes are like credit card. The debt just keep piling up regardless how much payment she makes by her good deeds, it's never enough.

If hero is 99% wrong and only 1% right, he will be applauded for his 1% virtue and that same 1% will be used to justify 99%.

If heroine is 99% right and only 1% wrong, she will be scrutinized for that 1% and not only that 1% will cancel out 99% of her effort but also her 1% will be compared to hero's 99% wrong deed using the same comparison for all.

Don't know about the hero-heroine percentage distribution but I sure think the weaker the character gets, the more the support it gets.. TRP audience love to sympathize with the crying ones thus supporting them.. Ish and Dev will never come out of that pitiful state making them the more relatable TRP elements.. And the more stronger Sona gets the more her mistakes get highlighted.. Remember with great power comes great responsibility thus with great strength comes great ownership.. May be once Sona gets into the need to be supported there they will make her weak again to get the audience sympathy for her.. 😆

You always come up with the best explanation... 👏 I absolutely agree. Sympathy votes pour in on weak, pathetic people, but the people who seem strong, no one wants to find out what price they might have paid for that strength. How someone had to loose her husband, her love insulted and ridiculed, thrown on the street, in neck-deep debt, her parents humiliated and with no retirement savings and income because of her and pregnant on top of everything must have coped. How they won't even have had time to cry because they have every single person's responsibility on their shoulder including a new born baby.

I won't wish that kind of burden on any new mother. Giving birth to a child when all hopes were lost should have been celebrated by both family pampering the new mother, her husband showering love on her and both of them helping each other to learn how to take care of a baby.

Sonakshi didn't have that. Yet she coped. No one wondered how. They were just more interested why she didn't do the "right thing" for the man who never did the "right thing" for her. How many of us will think about the person who hurt us the most and what's their right when they're responsible for our and our family's misery?

When Dev was blocking Ritwik's loan, no one said why he didn't do the right thing and either marry Sonakshi or let her go? No, they were relishing "Dev ki Deewangi" which is basically not the "right thing" and he wasn't even in desperate situation.

Yet, because Ishwari and Dev whines and blames everyone and basically weak characters, sympathy pours in. Everyone is so sad for their poverty. But no one is concerned for all the people whom Dev brought into poverty by taking away their livelihood or dreams for whatever personal reasons because well, he was doing it for his family.

So when Dev does morally and ethically wrong deeds, people try to look for his intentions with a magnifying glass and fine tooth comb, but when Sonakshi tried to protect her family, she should be crucified. Keep in mind, we still haven't seen how Sonakshi coped after the break up. We just saw how Dev coped. But who cares? The jury is always ready to pass judgement on Sonakshi.
