Things I loved and Things I did not love
Hi all, My name is Tia and I am 5 day old in this forum. Though I have watched the show since Sona's accident, I have not been active in IF until recently. In the following post I am going to share what I personally felt about Sona-Dev-Shruti(and Ghost:P) scenes in yesterday's episode (23rd January 2017), good and bad (and funny😆), as objectively as possible. I hope you have a good time reading it, though you may not agree with everything. Please share your views on this, I would be glad to read your replies. Bhot mehnat se type kiya h, kam se kam apne do shabd daal dena😛..So, here we go.
On observing Dev's state of mind from the last episode, I could anticipate that Dev is going to break up with Shruti. She was irritating him too much by pestering him about love and commitment😛.
Now, don't get me wrong - I have nothing against love and commitment. But a person who has lost his faith in them (for whatever reasons or whoever's fault😛) is going to be irritated. While, Shruti is seen currently dating Dev; and like any other girl, she is looking for love and commitment in her relationships.
There is a fact about big Indian cities, like Delhi; they have a culture of casual dating, which also sometimes involves getting physical as well; and there is a section of urban Indian youth (of all genders) who think getting physical is not a big deal.
Let's not jump into whether it is right or wrong, because standards of good, bad, right, wrong, moral and immoral vary from person to person; whether we like it or not. And so I would say, it is a matter of personal choice😊.
If you ask me, I do not support this personally (and I have lived in Delhi for 17 years, before getting my job). But, if anybody thinks they have no problem, then it is their life - they can do what they want! Some people eventually find love in this way; for some it doesn't work and some just play along and "enjoy" (For eg. Have you heard about Friends-with-benefits?), till they marry someone of their parents choice😆.
To be honest, I am enjoying Dev's (pseudo-or-whatever😆) Casanova mode. He is a ruthless heart-breaker and he is behaving like a jerk. But, in spite of everything, I am loving the 180 degree change in his character (how sadist of me😆), because there is a lot to explore beneath his ruthless exterior. We have only made guesses about how he feels about his parasitic family🤢; it would be majestic to hear about them from his own mouth😉.
Also, I see no problem with Shruti and Dev being together because they are both officially single and they are not doing anything forbidden by law.
But yes, as a Devakshi fan, one is bound to feel the pinch, as we always want to see Devakshi together, and none else. So, our 'kind' CVs take care of loyal fans😆 and...
... Dev throws Shruti out; without slippers, in the middle of the night😕.
I was shocked at this side of Dev😲 (However, Dev has done this before with Sona). Shruti had called Dev to meet her, I thought Dev would leave. But how could he😉, Dev has an interesting neighbour around😆 (i.e. Sona).
Sona came out of her room and saw Shruti in her state - 'hotel k corridor mein, bina slippers k'.
My God! 😆😆 Sarcasm was dripping from her voice, when she said, 'sab tumhari galti h - tumne Dev Dixit se pyaar kiya. Kyunki woh insaan nhi, wo robot h'. At one point, I felt Sona was telling this to herself😔.
When Shruti was expressing her frustration, for a moment I started imagining all Dev's ex-es (including Sona😛) bitching about Dev together.🤣🤣😆
Hats off to Sona! 👏 How she motivated Shruti to stand for herself. I feel Sona didn't interfere here, Shruti was sharing her problem and Sona just put forward her views. We all know, Sona (esp. in her Dr. Bose mode😉) never backs down on expressing what she feels is right and ought to be done.
Next Shruti asks Sona to spoon-feed her confrontation lines😛 and our heroine goes too deep into the situation and blurts out all her pent-up feelings. I loved this line of Sona😊:
'Aap itne bade loser ho, ki jis pyaar mein log haar kar bhi jeet jaate h, aap usmein bhi fail ho gye.'
Simple, deep and meaningful😊. I sooo wanted Dev to hear this line😆.
I felt so bad for Sona when I heard her feelings😭. She had always said 'marne se pehle, mai ek baar pyaar karna chahti hoon'. And all her beautiful dreams and desires (as Dev had said, 'khoobsurat haseen sapne') got crushed so cruelly; by the one and only one person who she had given the power to hurt her - Dev. But, Dr. Bose is a strong and capable lady, I needn't be sad for her; I am proud of her.😳😊
Aur kya ladki h Shruti! Pura ka pura ratta maar k chali gyi😲😲...(Albeit minus common sense😛)... Ye pakka apne class mein first aaya krti hgi😆😆
When Dev heard 'Obhodro' and 'mamma's boy', the cat was out of the bag😆...
When Dev manhandled Shruti, I was not surprised🥱. He is behaving like a certified jerk. But the way Shruti (I mean the actress playing Shruti) was jumping was incredibly hilarious😆. Saari tashan ek jhatke mein nikal gyi.😛
And in the end, as many pointed out, Dev turned Daya.😆
Well, naturally, Dev has this system of reacting to provocation. His first controlling behavior is seen when he gets Sona fired from hospital and his first violent behavior is seen when he breaks Sona's phone. So, this basic element is still same in him.
I started admiring Dev when went out of his way to apologize for his mistakes. Remember his line:
'Please. Please, Ms. Bose... Mai jaanta hu, jo maine kiya wo galat h. Aur mujhe sorry bhi thik se bolna nhi aata... Aap meri wajah se naraz h, aur ye baat mujhe bhot pareshan kar rhi h. Ap please yeh accept kar lijiye; uske baad kya karna h, kya kehna h, mujhe wo bhi nhi pata. Ap jaise kahengi, mai waise hi karunga. But please yeh accept kar lijiye. Please.'
And Sona said: 'Okay.'
And this time too, after all the 'battle of ex-es'; I want to this side (of going out of one's way to rectify mistakes) of Dev to sweep Sona off her feet , with little Suha giving tips on Do's and dont's..😳😊😆 (I know, I am incorrigible😆).
Last but not the least, the remarkable look on their faces when they open the door, reminded me of their respective dialogues:😉
Sona: 'For you, its Dr. Bose.'
Dev: 'Mera sabkuch h is chehre pe.'
PS:
1. What a sensible, mature and lovely girl little Suha is growing into. The little girl gently reminds her mother of her own lesson regarding bullies. I wish when her dad meets her, he is proud of her as well, like he used to be (or is, not yet clear😕) for her mom.😳😊 (And in the second Sona-Suha scene, Sona was actually looking like khargosh😆😆)
2. There is an equally adorable Golu-Bigcha scene, parallel to above. Bigcha had clearly forgotten about the girl he threw out, and in half-inebriated state he managed to narrate Golu a bed-time story😆😆. What a great multitask-er Mr. Dixit is!👏😆
3. There is a real ghost in that hotel. You don't believe me? 😲 Go, check the video in Youtube at 17:24. Who closes the door after Sona and Ginni enter?😉
Okay, I am done with my rantings. Thanks for reading. Feel free to like, comment and express your thoughts😊, but please don't create a war-zone😛.
