Looks like I am late joining this party. I too am a little old fashioned did not like the intimate sequence at all and the music just killed it for me. Loved their screaming match and was hoping would have lasted longer. I was expecting the pillow talk to be longer actually; somehow the car conversation could very well have been their pillow talk. But I have come to realise there is a method to the execution; they have successfully managed to generate the exact response they want from the viewers. So like Sam says they want to leave some things open to resolve in the future.

Did you notice Mr.Obhodro is back and Sonakshi had her pre wedding hairdo? Guess mami knows the right buttons to push with Ishwari which is what I fail to understand, on one hand she comes across as a shrewd and manipulative woman and easily gets manipulated by mami? Guess Dev is not the only contradictory person in the Dixit house.

Speculating about the slapgate...Why do I think it is opening the Pandora's Box. All issues between the families from the time of their separation are going to make an appearance. Also can't help but draw parallel between what happened with Aayan and Khatri. Ishwari starts getiing blackmailed by Khatri and mamiji and family take permanent residence in Dixit mansion; Dev gets blackmailed and ends up being thrown out of the house for misbehaving with her and it was about his sister. Is it time for Dev-Sona to make a permanent exit from Dixit's or has mamiji's time arrived?

Why I say Dev-Sona exit from Dixit mansion, the Bonfire scene and your theory of Dev being at the vortex of a storm.

Lets say the environment is like the Dixit mansion cold and unwelcoming

The Bonfire is Ishwari's saccharine sweet love etc etc

Sonakshi was trying to beat the chill by embracing the bonfire to keep the chill, just like she was/is in the dixit house through her attempt at winning Ishwari's love, which almost burnt her.

Dev trying to protect her from both and not succeeding completely.

It starts snowing with GKBs "ab is ghar mein yudh hoga"

Dev-Sona argue and the bonfire goes out, parallel scene Ishwari refusing to call Dev to clarify about the money lending just yet

Bonfire goes out leaving the place darker and colder, why do I feel genuinely trying to please make the holiday memorable and stress free for them in her own way and is genuinely affectionate of Sonakshi. Ishwari was reluctant to believe mamiji without clarifying with Dev and acted out only when the Boses acknowledged that they were aware of the money transfer. A case of too little too late, Sonakshi's Gudia story maybe?

Sonakshi walking away to a warmer and cosier place (Bose house?) and Dev following her??

Hmmm guess time to go to bed and stop being Byomkesh Bakshi. But would love to know what you think.

GKB knows what is Ishwari's weaknesses, she clouds her brain with negative thoughts making Ishwari feel like the victim every opportunity she gets! Such unhappy people destroy happiness around them!

Absolutely. She thinks Dev should only be spending every penny on vicky and then some more. She didn't stop till they got the same house, clothes, car and then a cabin just like Dev.

So the moment Dev gives money to anyone, whatever be the reason, she has a problem.

Ishwari is a master manipulator. The way she was hallucinating today, anyone would fall for it. And then Dev knows what she is capable of.

So true! I have seen such women in my extended family, and I always think how much they could have accomplished with that kind of intelligence if they had been given the proper opportunities and direction. I can't imagine the frustration that comes with wanting to move ahead in life, but not having the tools or guidance to do it, and constantly being told to shut up and be grateful for whatever your man chooses to provide you. That intense unhappiness is, like you said, what craves to create unhappiness for others.
