I don't know where the cvs are going with this show but it's depressing to watch. Even the romance looks so fake. Feel so bad in invested so much time on this show.

Coming to your question if my husband slapped my dad I really think that would be the end of the relationship. What would stop him from slapping me tomorrow.

But seeing recent events every action of Dev & ish is brushed aside quickly by Sona & I don't empathize with her anymore. Everyone's self respect is in their hands & if she chooses to sacrifice at the altar of a selfish love I don't think anybody can help her.

By the way I have seen strong women behave this way so I am not surprised. They are ready to do anything for their man so I am not surprised by Sona.

I hope (been hoping for a long time for some growth in the characters but there has been only regression & as a viewer it is depressing!

exactly he could slap her dad means he could also slap his wife.🤢

They are showing so much regressive stuff that even i am shocked how much they will make dev stoop lower.

But that will be an end of our relationship

No amount of justification or redemption could convince me to live with a spinless asshole.

let me share my own personal experience here. I am married, and there was one such instance during the very early days of my marriage, where i felt the words used by my in laws were hurtful words towards my parents and i was quick enough to reply back .

All i said was, i am your bahu, if you have any issue, you can criticise me, but my family is off limits. one word against them and i shall not stand mute. My entire in law family was shocked when i said that, we all still remember that day even after it has been 9 years . kisine yeh socha nahi tha ki ek nayi naveli dulhan, itne strongly apna opinion bata sakthi hai. And this was just because , i felt the words were not in good taste. They were not even accusing, but jesting around, which bordered on being insulting.

That's why i am saying, what Asha and Saurabh echoed is same as i think. Bijoy may be hell worried for Sona, but there is no necessity for him to keep barging into Dixit house at the drop of the hat and start getting into heated arguments. Sona is a strong woman, let her deal in her own way. Agar use apne parents ki jaroorath hoti toh woh kudh apne aap problems share kareingi.

Not just twitter, even on the forum some think Dev was trying to talk to Ish and Bijoy was interrupting non-stop, Dev got angry and being impulsive slapped his FIL I was shocked to read such justifications for their favorite character. BTW being impulsive he had told his in-laws to get out of his house before (what great respect for his elders). What all crap cv's are serving and people are justifying in the name of being impulsive. He is impulsive only for his mother, baki jaye badh main 😡 Sona is pair ki jooti for him, use and throw when not needed. Like mother, like son.

What you did was great 👏 and we want Sona to do JUST that first. 🤢

But I didn't understand 1 thing. Sona lives in Dixit house, the whole family interferes in every day to day matter of Sonakshi. Just because she is married, why cant Bijoy visit Sona's inlaws place anytime he wants ? Now it's Sona's house too right ? Arguments always start from accusations. Where Bijoy's set of accusations are always 200% correct and Ishwari-GKB cannot protest against that, they call Bijoy names and meaningless vague sentences like 'you forgot to teach Sona manners' etc. which has no head or tail. This time too they called Bijoy greedy. Bijoy is worried for Sonakshi so he came to meet them or to know about them. Why should he stay away from Dixits and not interfere when he can clearly see Sona's future ? It's his daughter after all !!

I agree, Bijoy should not have let Sona marry this guy at all. He foresaw this day coming.

P.S. - This reminds me of 1 line from Kasautii when Rishabh Bajaj didn't want Sneha to marry the guy she loves because he had doubts on the guy - "Mr.Basu Sneha ki shaadi Omi se karwana chahte hai kiunki woh sirf Sneha ka aaj dekh rahe hai, par mai Sneha ka aaj se aanewala kal tak dekh raha hoon." Difference between POVs how others see it and how a father sees it.

If Bijoy gets slapped by Dev, then it is Sonakshi's fault and I will tell you why. Right from the beginning, Sonakshi has kept mum whenever anybody in the Dixit mansion has spoken against / insulted her family. The Boses are very understanding and broad-minded and Sonakshi started taking these very qualities for granted. She let the Dixits walk all over them, insult or bad-mouth them at the drop of a hat, ridicule them or ignore them. Obviously nobody realized they were doing anything wrong because Sonakshi never spoke up. Now its too late and the result is a resounding slap.

If I had been in Sonakshi's place
1. I would have never let things get so bad that my husband has to raise his hands at my parents (and my husband is a person who would never do that).
2. Secondly if he were to do that, that would be the end of our relationship. I will not live with someone who has no respect for my parents.

I think I will not give this type of opportunity. If the fight starts, I will make them to move away or cool down. Even a slap I can't bear, I think I will tell get lost.

With a joint family the interference will always be there, in this case it is more because both Dev and Sona dont keep the Dixits at bay. elena also lives with the same family, but no one is able to take those liberties with- her not even sona, ( if you remember the incident where she wanted to party out with friends when ayaan's family was visiting them. ) well i am not saying what elena did was right, but at the same time there is no need for either Dev or Sona to remain so mute.
for eg, the visit to the Dr, both Sona and Dev could have taken a stand and stopped Ishwari saying this is first visit, and they prefer she comes when collecting the reports and stuff like that.
You should know how and when to keep things personal or let others interfere.

coming to your second question. The reason i am saying that Bijoy should refrain from entering Dixit house at the drop of a hat is because the more he interferes, the more bigger the problem becomes. as more and more people get involved in any argument, the original issue gets sidelined and the temper flare leading disastrous outburst, this applies for anyone. Bijoy is , was and will remain Sona's father and forever he will be worried about her. There are other ways and means to meet his daughter to ensure her safety. Going to her house often is not the only option. They can visit her at her clinic, ask her to visit them during lunch or they can even call both Dev and sona home. Visiting a Daughters house for a cup of coffee, or a dinner/lunch is way different from visiting her during a fued.

If you notice every time Bijoy entered Sona's house, he could not hold himself back from either taunting or shouting. This kind of behaviour does not help in resolving issues. rather it causes more.

What i mean to say is, do you think either Asha or Saurabh are less worried about Sona than Bijoy?
They too will be equally worried, but the way they handle the things is far more gentle.

On the day Saurabh came to return the car during mooh dikayi, there were a lot of guest but yet he left the place making his point without causing a ruckus. With bijoy, i know he is right, but his biggest flaw is he does not have a sense of place/timing. This in the long run will cause unnecessary turmoil and for ever will sour the relationships.

I agree, Bijoy should not have let Sona marry this guy at all. He foresaw this day coming.
