Intentional or not , A slap is not justified... I would have pushed Dev away yelled at him and stormed out of that place.

DQ, None of us can imagine what it is to be in Sona's place coz we fortunately will not find ourselves in that place. You know why? Unlike Sona, we would not have tolerated the nonsense Sona tolerates in Dixit house.

What rubbish!!

From what I've seen in the segment it didn't look at all unintentional to me. Doesn't matter if it's intentional or unintentional. NOT DONE. PERIOD.

Finally, to answer your question - I would have slapped him... Very much intentionally...and walked out with my family.

Those people won't be alive to insult my family to start with when both mother and son are pathological liers. The talk won't even progress to slap by the time I am done with them. You know I am a straightforward in your face kind of person. I know very well how to show hypocrites the mirror.

I can never imagine such a situation as I love my dad and my husband. So I would nt create such opportunities in life which would lead to such situation. Sona has never even once showed that her family mattered to her from the time she fell in love with Dev. Her priority has always been Dev and his family. Her family had taken a back seat. Unfortunately that is not how Dev is ...for Dev from the beginning its been his mom and his sisters...even his love for Sona is conditional and as I have always said he treats her like a material.

Few thoughts on the scene...

1) A lot of ppl say , it was unintentional ...Bijoy pushed Dev to react etc...but what my family and upbringing has taught me is ...never raise your hand ...raise it only for your defense and security ...because we are human beings and not animals...

Our show always has some first...this is the first time I am seeing a SIL hitting his FIL on TV...not something that one should feel proud about. Wondered how he would feel or the ppl supporting Dev's action feel if Sona had done this to Ishwari?? When I started watching this serial I thought this serial was very progressive in nature but infertility track wiped that thought completely...
I just hope boys out there dont get encouraged to slap their FILs...seeing this...a very bad example of son in law and husband..

2) Though Bijoy recieved the slap...the actual slap is on Ishwari and Sona...

Ishwari - one who is proud of her upbringing ...always praised her son to be perfect...respect for all etc...what he did will ONLY QUESTION HER UPBRINGING !!
Sona - Too proud of her husband and very confident of his love...in fact blind in love even after getting ditched ...and look what she got from him...the greatest gift that he could ever give her...the one she will never be able to forget!!

3) Dev - This is what happens when you dont have clarity in life and when you allow other people to run your personal life. If you had been strong and showed what your wife meant to you then this situation would never have happened.

4) DevAkshi - Learn to love each other for your self and not for your parents...you didnt marry to keep them happy ...you married each other because you loved each other and wanted to be life partners.

PS : If you love your spouse then you will learn to love his/her family too...
