agree. even i have cribbed. but i think some other cribs have gone a little too far. i have seen your crib and you are justified in what you have written.. but according to me, i felt this week was just fine.. in fact loved it. i used to think the show is just 2 people, especially, during the romancing days, and it continued for sometime.. but then i realised that my understanding is wrong ( good to be self critical too at times). When i look back at the whole show as a tale of 3 people linked to each other, i think the deviations, barring a few jarring ones, has been pretty consistent.

I have all the episodes on my ipad.. and use them like doses of tonic. If i am not playing scrabble, it is KRPKAB only.. before i go to bed, or when i am in the car, or in a plane or waiting..

I belong to the category who is still in love with the show. For me, it is a stress buster. I feel my day is incomplete without watching Kuch Rang. I don't dissect each and every characters and scenes. May be that is why I am still enjoying it. I still feel that all 3 main protagonist characters are related. Trust me, I have seen all these types of characters in my life.

Best thing about Kuch Rang is how the story is narrated. As Shaheer mentioned, story is not unique at all, but the way they are narrating the scene.

I will share my personal story here. When my parents visited us this year, they were so bored as they were more into kannada dramas. I introduced them to Kuch Rang. My parents were so hooked, they finished 150 episodes in a week. Now that they are back in India, when I call them, we never forget to discuss about the daily episode. My dad is very selective about hindi dramas, but he loves Kuch Rang.

I liked today's episode. I wanted to see Sona's breakdown and Dev consoling Sona. I am sucker for these kind of scenes. But I can understand why we didn't get Sona's breakdown. She was always shown as strong. I think, she wanted to continue that facade. She is broken internally, but showing strong outside.

Story line is fine. My only complain is that there should be more of DevaKshi scenes than DevISh or SonaIsh scenes.

Very good post, loved reading it.

i felt very happy reading your comment.. glad that i have company. As much as i have criticized the show, i have been brave enough to criticize myself too. I think the story is back on track, and so is the narration. Yes, i can fault the makers for only one aspect.. they are not utilizing the strength of the male and female lead and giving us more scenes. i wish they could. never too late.

Myself I was craving for devakshi scene today. They could have dedicated 5 more minutes to devakshi. (As Sharica are always terrific in their emotional scenes) And then continue with eshwari rambling. We are seeing problem with execution. They should give equal importance to 3 character. Now a days they are trying to show only from eshwari angle which is where people are ranting about. Cvs are always conjoos with devakshi scenes..

pramila, if you remember there were days when we got only Devakshi, especially during the romancing days. Even that was not liked by many people. I had seen comments like Dev and Sona were behaving like teenagers and not mature adults.. in my opinion, we had an overdose those days. These days it is starvation of Devakshi scenes.

They are giving too much importance to GKB.. and with due respect to her, she does not have pulling power. They can be a little more subtle on Ishwari's reactions and emotions.. like in the past.. Supriya can pull of these subtleties very well. They need to slightly increase the Devakshi screen space too.

I liked the simplicity.. waiting for this track to unfold.. I hope the CV's do justice, as this has so much potential and with such actors one can hope for the best :)

I am optimistic on this track.. i say this again, no matter what i just want Dev and Sona to be together through thick and thin..

Very good post 👏👏👏
I still love this show and will continue watching it.. I think the problem is that the fandom has got invested in the show to such an extent that it has become difficult for the makers to handle all the expectation. I loved the episode this week when Sona comes to know about the pregnancy lie.. her outburst, the hug were all one of the best executed scenes. But then they follow that up with that Pallu dialogue of Ishwari and Dev so clinically telling Sona about the infertility that as a fan we get really upset that a scene that had so much potential has been wasted! Bijoy's scene was the only scene I enjoyed yesterday and I hope they manage to get the show back on track with some soulful scenes between Sona and Dev.

I will continue watching irrespective of the flaws for the actors but I hope the makers understand that they have an ensemble cast that is almost the best available on Indian TV and they can continue to weave magic with them!

Now that its a new day, I am still excited to see today's episode.. that says it all 😆

agree with you. I am excited too.

I would have liked it if Sona or Dev had told Ishwari directly rather than through GKB. I want them to be mature adults in such matters and not beat around the bush..
