exactly the same with my wife. she says that Ishwari is just being a bad MIL.. and Supriya too meant it at the outset of the show.. it was a journey of the mother, who dotes on a son and her growth into a MIL..

pramila, if you remember there were days when we got only Devakshi, especially during the romancing days. Even that was not liked by many people. I had seen comments like Dev and Sona were behaving like teenagers and not mature adults.. in my opinion, we had an overdose those days. These days it is starvation of Devakshi scenes.

They are giving too much importance to GKB.. and with due respect to her, she does not have pulling power. They can be a little more subtle on Ishwari's reactions and emotions.. like in the past.. Supriya can pull of these subtleties very well. They need to slightly increase the Devakshi screen space too.

Even in initial days also I was feeling more space should have been given to devakshi. I still remember when Dev informed Eshwari about he loves sona, after that we got hardly 2 to 3 mins of devakshi. We watched such a huge chula drama and we got 2 to 3 mins of our leads. The makers are always conjoos with devakshi scenes. It is purely because of sharica and their terrific chemistry the show has become this much popular. Otherwise do you think we prefer watching this psycho eshwari?? All my question to makers why they are so conjoos with devakshi scenes?? Don't we deserve more devakshi scenes like heart to heart conversation? Did we ever got to see couple discussion after their marriage?? It is all about Eshwari and they are cheating us.

Who would not want more if Devakshi! 😊😊

Dasji, i appreciate your post . on a serious note, a track like infertility is highly sensitive. The relationship between the couple and how they cope with it comes first and the next priority would be how the family members accept it /react to it.
what Dev said in yesterday's episode is right, he cannot hide the fact from Ishwari and the others in the family for long. but before they break this news, both Sona and Dev should realise that no matter what, they will face this storm together. The need to be united to brave the onslaught.

most importantly it is Sona who will be subjected to more cruelty and Dev has gather himself to not only to protect her, but also make sure that she does not succumb to self pity. It needs a prep time and hence he was asking Sona to sit on it for a day before deciding to break the news.

to me it does not make a difference on when and how ishwari gets to know this news, whatever be the circumstances its always the DIL who gets blamed.

KRPKAB has always shown realistic phases in life, going on that lines, yesterday the discussion between Dev and Sona should have been how they are going to face the issue as a couple, but unfortunately the entire discussion was focused on reactions of Ishwari and her relationship with Sona.

Agree with you. I have seen some of my friends how they are going through it. It is really hard. Cvs instead of concentrating on devakshi, more on ishwari feeling. Today we are going to get all repeated dialogue of ishwari with sona and Dev. Again tortureful episode. .

What a lovely post👏
I also belong to the category for whom the show has been a roller coaster journey, an enjoyable roller coaster journey!
I continue to be interested in every episode inspite of my endless rants or complaints sometimes. I think the more we get attached to something, the more we become critical of it. We seek perfection in our likes.
I totally agree that KRP has seen its ups and downs, but which show hasn't? Irrespective of its imperfections, the show undoubtedly has a splendid cast and crew and a very different and bold style of narration. Why I say bold is because it is easy to go ahead with a track the way we audience want it, to show sona breaking down yesterday for instance, but the cvs always choose to handle everything with their own perspective.
The break up track, the infertility track and even marriage were all handled unconventionally inspite of the story being used many times already in other shows. While it can be very frustrating for us viewers sometimes (as the very cliched moments are needed like some genuinely required DevAkshi emotions, their interaction etc) , it adds authenticity to the narrative.
All in all, you are totally right sir, in simplicity lies beauty.
😊
So glad to have found KRP.
P.S My only complaint will be that we are robbed of the much needed DevAkshi moments where they could have easily been added. I am not talking about yesterday's episode but in general😊 Devakshi are given a little less importance in their style of story telling.

yes, i do agree that the infertility issue is a serious one. No denying this. In fact, one of my earlier rants was the way Dev was trying to do things all by himself when he should be consulting his wife.. but if we were to connect the dots, it is clear that he is aware of Ishwari not liking Sona from her heart.. and her insecurities. he does not want to offend either Ishwari or Sona.. they are his two most important people in his life. If both are happy, he is happy and in that happiness he gets carried away..

Sona too is aware that Ishwari does not like her from the heart and her insecurities. She is trying her best to complete the triangular relationship whereas Ishwari is trying to compete. So seeing Ishwari happy, son too gets carried away.

the whole track is based on a simple thread.. like it or not..

Yes, we all want more of Dev and Sona, to be always together, and to face life's challenges together.. I do agree that there has been a bit of a falter on the part of the makers, but i think they will realise, sooner than later.. and in fact they did in today's episode (30th Dec).. it was simple and beautifully told..

now over to a new year.. and hope the simplicity continues.

that is a fantastic observation.. that the CV's always present their perspective and this comes out as bold. Agree. They also shut up the audience very nicely.. like many of yesterdays questions were answered today..More power to simplicity.

All in a all a very satisfying year for KRPKAB. Let us see what the new year holds for us now.

Great post.. Well done :)
I have been rather silent for weeks now, obviously because the makers have shifted focus on ishwari and some of it I did not resonate with.
Today's episode was an exception, until Ishwari missing. Dev has redeemed himself in simple and effectively.
This whole thing where ishwari becomes queen Victoria and the whole house revolving around her is too much for me. Every one has his/her due importance but ishwari gets too much footage which annoys me.

Simplicity of dev and sonakshi and their complex relationship with ishwari is what the show is about. So guess will have to bear it all. I hope 2017 brings out the best of this show and devakshi as a team. I wish the old magic of these two is back with a bang in the new year.

Very True!! I have always liked the simplicity if this show. Even though I didnt like the way infertility track was handled I love this show and the major reason is Shaheer and Erica 😳. I love the way they translate Dev and Sonakshi on the screen, especially the emotional scenes. They compliment each other and I dont think they need dialogues...their expressions and eyes say it all...

I hope they dont show any separation track or any MU betwn them. I would like to see them stand as ONE UNIT from now on...
