The truth is out. To some. Mr Dixit's problems have actually now doubled. Earlier he had to stop outsiders from spilling the beans. Now some insiders know while others don't.
The story would have been very different had Sonakshi done a home test, had Dev not lied to Sonakshi and his family about the blood test, had Aayan spilled the beans, had Sonakshi asked to see her own reports. So on and so forth. I won't lie, I had expected Dev to tell Sonakshi and not for her to find out from an outsider and then for her to get a confirmation by herself sat in the car alone.
I will however choose to ignore that. Why? Because this isn't my story to tell and more importantly, as a 3rd umpire I can merrily comment on things but for reel and real Devakshis out there, such is life.
There is another problem - I am a hopeless romantic and I am always ready to overlook lovers' mistakes. And here is where I am aching. Aching for Dev. Aching for Sonakshi and scared for Devakshi.
That hug, that hug that happened in the front garden of Ishwari Niwas. That man who was running and chasing his wife outside his office. That man who got shouted at by his in laws in his front garden. That wife who was pushing her husband away. That husband who didn't take the numerous chances he had in the last 72 hours to speak up and led up to this. That mother who threw her adult son out of the house for him to wait near the watchman's cubbyhole. That daughter who asked her parents to leave her marital home and not create a scene - they all disappointed me - why - because they brought that moment on my television screen - Washing your dirty laundry in public. I am so disturbed by that. Who behaves like this?
Ishwari throws Dev out and expects that he will be sat outside waiting for his mother to call him in. Does she realise how many people know her son? He may be her ziddi, badtameez son. But he is also a public figure. And even if he is not, who does this in public for neighbours and street vendors and watchman to see?
Then Sonakshi storms in Dev's office - Man, the look on his face when he introduces his wife to the folks there. Sorry, back on topic. Now here, Dev you had the perfect opportunity to sort this fake pregnancy drama. You have Tina guarding the office. You finally said to yourself that morning that you will open up to mom and wifey. Were you waiting for the moment when they are both together before speaking the truth? Was that the reason you didn't sit Sonakshi down, calm her down and tell her the truth - the whole truth? -ve reports, fertility issues and the whole lot. That was perfect timing. She was angry, but you could have given her that awesome hug and sat her down there and then (in the privacy of your office where even mamiji cannot eavesdrop). Gosh, Dev... How much do you need to be pushed to the edge before you break your silence? What sort of a fear is this? What was the point of doing it all in your front garden? In your office, I think your wife would have eventually calmed down and listened to your side of the argument and worked out the next steps together. You really deserve the (rude) 'bhatija' treatment sometimes. I love you... I am such a big fan of the man you are and then you get so scared of hurting your loved ones, that you make stupid mistakes that not only hurt your loved ones, they even leave scars - like the one you and sonakshi carry from your breakup (Admit it, you haven't recovered from that one - you are forever scared of losing her).
PS: I absolutely loved the kakima angle. It's not how I had imagined this news to break. However, I like what the makers did there. Dev controlled all the known knowns. He himself then took Sonakshi to the person whose presence he hadn't factored into his (stupid) plan. Dear Dev, such are the ways of God/the supreme. This sub-track is interesting.
PPS: Someone give Sonakshi a makeover as well. Erica ke fans ne kisee ka kya bigada hai. Use bhi tambu se nikal ke regular kurte pehena do. and non greasy hair serum also please
PPS: The drama seeker in me is absolutely loving the scenes by Shaheer and Erica
