Vicky is jealous of dev from the beginning. His jealousy increases when sona-a middle clas girl (before wedding) didn't give a damn about him and treated him like a trash but at the same time fell in love with rude ,workaholic Dev.
Then they broke up but their true love brought them back together and vicky knew they two r very happy together in spite of what r all the hurdles they have to face..

He was..is.jealous of dev for everything he got (but didn't want to concentrate on how he got ) in his life- name , fame, power and especially his queen like wife, who made- making-will always make his life colourful. .

Subconsciously or consciously Vicky (by hook or crook) wants to become like Dev..
He thought Elena is just like sonakshi --tough, hard to crack ...He took it as a challenge and got her..its his first step to become like Dev..

Today he himself repaired the a/c machine & came to dev's room to feel like king with his queen..lolll.. But the irony is whether dev &sona inside the room or outside the room they will search &get their own happy little world. .may be its a directorial touch that Vicky -elena marriage increases problems in their life but nothing just nothing will ruin their love&happiness of togetherness. .

Though neha ,Ishwari or Ayan or Gkb anybody will come & interrupts ,(like neha threw paani ) their true love makes the worst moments too memorable. .

"We have been through a lot already -
And many more to cross-
But I can't wait to cross them together "

"The couples that r ""meant to be"" -
Are the ones who go through everything -
That r meant to be tear them apart-
But come out even STRONGER the way before. ."

P.S.. yes I am officially becomes paagal.threw anything on me..I will bear 😉 😆

I won't say Vicki is jealous . ...its more than that..he wants whatever Dev has..he feels its his right to get hold of this house, business. He has also learned the art of manipulating Dev...how he used Dev n Sona's love story as an example to get Dev's acceptance for his marriage.
I don't think he wants to become like Dev..infact he feels he is much smarter n capable than Dev..he wants to own watever Dev has n is confident that one day he will get hold of everything.

He took it as a challenge to impress Elena to snub Sona ...n i feel this marriage is nothing but a way to show Sona she lost the game. The more Elena will get manipulated by Vicki, the more Elena wud grow apart from Sona which wud b devastating for Sona...its still a game for Vicki.

But yeah the best part was Dev n Sona happy with each other irrespective of how hard everyone is trying to hurt them.

Awesome post. 👏
Vicky was compared to Dev from childhood and he wants everything that DEv has. He thinks copying Dev will get him the same status and value. So he wants to go to costly gym, go to office wearing tie, get married to another stubborn and hard to get bangalan. But all these things will not make him Dev.

I liked how you showed contrast of Devakshi and vicky elena's relationship. Its not that Devakshi should become like Vicky elena as most of the people think here, its the other way round. For Devakshi its all about togetherness whether its inside or outside the room and for vicky its more about comfort and luxury, which he can't afford but wants it at any cost.

Ps- Your posts are always crisp, to the point and bull's eye. Love them.

I agree wth you that Vicky is jealous of Dev for two reasons
a) for what Dev is-- an extremely successful person
b)for what Dev got as his life partner

We have seen that Vicky is after Sona since starting.
I remember his dialogue when Sona refused him once ..."Agar Sushmita sen nahi to Riya sen sen hi sahi'.. he was referring to Bengalan sisters(Sona and Elena) here.

So it is quiet possible that he married Elena to take revenge or to take take Sona's refusal as a challenge.
we will figure that out in coming episodes.

to your last point:-
Neha(having seen DevSona romance in garden) should understand that money doesn't bring happiness always.
Presence of your loved ones does.

I agree totally. .
Yes I stunned by the way he manipulated dev by his strong weaknesses. .praising Sona. ..
Anyway I am in the game.I am curious to know how they unfold in future. .

I don't think you are over-analysing at all. In fact, if you think back, their shared experience of being overshadowed by Sona and Dev respectively, was the first thing that broke the ice for Elena and Vicky's friendship, and the first genuine conversation Elena allowed. The resentment they share for their goody-two-shoes cousins, to whom they were always compared, is the foundation of their relationship. So I think what you have written about Vicky applies to Elena as well. She wanted what Sona has: the respect she gets as an adult in the family, her unlikely, tumultuous love story, and her perceived fairytale ending.

But what both of these immature kids are missing is the work that Dev and Sona put into what they have, both as individuals and together. If the Boses take Sona seriously, and respect her, it is because she has taken the entire financial burden of the family on her shoulders both before and after marriage, and protects her relationships fiercely. Long before Bijoy stormed in with his "bhatija" strategy, she had taken care of the aunty issue, making her stance clear to both Dev and Ishwari, and defended Asha's feelings. Saurabh's unemployment was a huge concern for the family, but she swooped in and found a solution that allowed him to pursue the kind of work he is interested in, without hurting his pride. And while her love story may have looked glamourous to Elena, only Sona and Dev know what they have gone through to be together today.

That's why the room thing didn't bother me that much (even though the physical reality of it is quite gross). Like Dev used to say when people warned him about losses in his business: I built this step by step and if need be, I can do it again. That confidence and calm that comes with knowing the hard work you have put in is precisely what sets Sona and Dev's relationship apart from Vicky and Elena, who have taken nothing but shortcuts. None of what they have now, including Dev and Sona's room, is something they built from the ground up, so they will never be able to get what they want out of it.

Honestly, I loved today's episode because Sona and Dev had the last laugh, literally 😆 Once their anger cooled, they were like "sure, why not? Pass the popcorn!" Elena and Vicky have already written their own punishment into their future. Elena -- photographer, literature-lover, and social butterfly -- has bound herself to Vicky -- entitled, undereducated, barely employed, monolingual sexist. That ridiculousness of their relationship was visible even in their supposedly lovey-dovey interaction today. Everyone is making these false equivalencies between the two couples but time will show how different they really are. Vicky and Elena need not only what is given to them, but what isn't rightfully theirs in order to be happy. Sona and Dev, in between all the interruptions, with people constantly throwing water on their romance (couldn't resist!), find ways to be happy with each other.

Your analysis is on the dot.. From the beginning, Vickky has wanted what Dev has without putting the effort. He thinks he can take shortcut and by lies get what Dev has. He thinks it will make him a "bada aadmi".

In Mahabharatha, there is a quote -- "Dharmo rakshati rakhshitaha". It means that those who protect the dharma, dharma will protect them. It is true ... The karma works and based on the things we do, it either becomes blessings or curses in disguise. Dev and Sonakshi are protected by this karma. Hence they are truly happy. 😊

Vickky might swindle Dev even more and Elena might not correct Vickky and all thosee bad things can happen. But Dev has the brains to gain those back, Vickky has none. Right now Vickky has started to cut the branch he is sitting on without really thinking of the consequences. He thinks that no one will be able to figure out his plans and actions. That he will get away all the time. But life does not happen that way. It always comes back and when it does, you better watch out...

I think the lamp in the aarti thaali going off and Sonakshi relighting it is special significance. Once that attraction between Vickky and Eleena subsides, they will be in trouble. It will be Sonakshi who will help them at that time and show them the right path including GKB...

Looking forward to seeing the story unfold...
