So Sona wud try to help Elena in adjusting to the new family, try to be ideal bahu, cooking, serving, respecting elders etc etc. which offcourse Elena wudnt do it n Sona wud cover for her till the time one day Sona wud totally give up on Elena.

I agree with you @randommusings. In no way did the expression remind me of Ishwari. Ishwari's expression was that of a "here I come to save you because I am so mahaan and I forgive you for letting the pallu from uncovering the face", whereas the expression on Sona's face is "Let us not lose focus on what is more important in life and lets find the solution to make life brighter and happier for everyone concerned."

No comparison between the two because one (ishwari) acts as if she is the saviour, (one who is very arrogant about his/her role). and the other (Sona) acts to fix the trouble out of love be it for Elena or for Dixits. The two reactions make me think of the difference between Chalk and cheese!

Love your analysis of dev & Vicky! Agree that there is no comparison between the 2. What I am failing to understand as a viewer is the point of this track
Also the cvs are assuming we will watch whatever is shown even though it does not make sense. Taking over someone's bedroom is one such instance. I can take all the drama if there is logic to it but episodes like today leave me really frustrated esp when you consider it is a mansion.

.

But Vikki and Elena are not even the palest version of Dev-Sona. To put it bluntly...they are wanna be Dev-Sona, seeking a love story for themselves that isn't as deep, selfless and pure.

As for Dev and Sona, their love for one another is so pure and complete that nothing dampens it. Not Vikki nor Neha. They are too good!

I partially agree with u and partially with sam..
Ishwari's main motto was showing the crowd how mahan saas she is..
But here sona never expects that appreciation from dixits nor they will give anyday.

But as sam said their (ish&sona) situations r somewhere similar. .
Ishwari wants no hungama b4 the guests.so eventhough she was mad on Sona -she did it..
Sona too was in great disappointment &anger towards Elena but she relighted it to avoid unnecessary drama there by GKB ..

I appreciate ur honest views and totally can understand ur frustation..
Their motive of highlighting the right by showing the wrong is good but yes ac not working is repetitive. . 😆 😆

Very well written post.😊
I really dont have any expectations from this track because of the screwed up brains of our cv's and i am slowly learning to take each episode as if the last one without keeping any expectations further so i am enjoying this journey now with a little detachment on a personal level with the show. Let me share my 2 cents here since my take from y'days episode is bit different.

As many people in the forum guessing like this track will teach Dev or Sona or Vicky or Elina or RR or Ishwari etc... What i felt from y'day's episode is, how writers are portraying the point Why Dev and Sona are unique & deserves every bit of respect as individuals as well as a couple from viewers . I hate to compare Dev with Vicky or Sona with Elina or Dev-Sona with Vicky-Elena since the later doesn't even deserve to be called along with Dev & Sona. Its like comparing a diamond with coal. One side we are seeing the extremes of goodness, forgiveness & selflessness and on other side we are seeing the extremes of shamelessness, greediness & selfishness. Selflessness defines once strength and patience & tolerance never symbolizes weakness. People only can understand and value the best they have in 2 occasions. 1. When they loose it. 2. When they see the worst. I felt y'day's episode was trying to explain the second option.
Lets see whats there for us in the future episodes.😊

Wow, Such wonderful & positive discussion happened in this thread. I always saw a devoted & dutiful son & brother in Dev when it comes to his family. He did & still doing everything for his family keeping them always above his needs & priorities without any complaints & expectations in return from them. This reminds me something from Gita, "Do your duty and be detached from its outcome". When we fulfill our duties without any expectations in return, we will automatically get rewarded with the best in our lives and here the best thing that ever happened in Dev's life is Sona. I always feel, Sona's selfless love for Dev is a result of his selfless love for his family. What goes around comes around.😊
