Was looking for this thread. Finally found it. Am typing on my phone so excuse the typos Infertility among men and women is on the rise. And many aspects of this problem are badly handled in Indian homes. So, our makers have an amazing opportunity to send a strong message to the society. I doubt they will. The focus has always been the love triangle and I suppose it will remain so.
I don't know how many viewers even fully understand what about inhospitable uterus means to the reproductive cycle of a couple. It's one of the harder to treat conditions as far as I know. However, such a female can still get pregnant and carry to term
There are many ways in which the makers can proceed. It's their story to tell.
The way I had always imagined it was that Dev has never shared his problems with anyone. He shouldn't share this one either. This is a challenge they should tackle together. Dev is as affected by this as sonakshi. He is as keen to be a parent as sonakshi. They shouldn't show Dev being the giver and sonakshi the bechari abala nari.
In my mind I always thought a miscarriage would be more apt to start the track. Shattered dreams are more dramatic
When the treatment starts, they should show Dev undergoing tests too. No fertility treatment can start without knowing the reproductive health of both the partners. Men usually avoid getting tested and mothers of such men take offence at mention of such testing. Dev Dixit would be a role model and I would love to see him send that message out. I am 100% sure that won't happen in KRPKAB
Reproductive health of the couple is as private a matter as physical intimacy. I hope they show them dealing with their shattered dreams as equal partners.
What a gorgeous colour of love would that be where Dev will love sonakshi like a man loves a woman even though they can't procreate. What intense colour of love would that be when sonakshi will stand by this man and share his frustration at not being able to father her child.
And then, they should talk about modern day surrogacy. They should show Dev's sperm and sonakshi's eggs fertilised in a test tube and a full term baby brought into this world by another woman. Bijoy Bose shouldn't have to stand for his daughter. Ishwari shouldn't be embarassed about her son and his wife's possibilities of having kids of their own. No... makers deal with any baggage before you bring fertility into this. Because procreation is pure. Procreation is the culmination of every shade, note and depth of love. Please show us a modern day fertility track.
Sorry I got carried awa . I am sorry
