Lolol in Defense of Dev Dixit? Give me a break! It took me a decent amount of time to get through your posts because this thread stuck out and I became quite inquisitive about the author. Turns out, you're a mega Sonakshi/Erica hater like someone pointed out. Why? I'm perplexed; I know the writers have been incredibly inconsistent with her and the other characters but jeez, you're just after the girl!

I'm genuinely interested to know your reasoning. Please enlighten me, I request you.

I can understand your eagerness to know why I hate so and so Ch. But I am not interested in offering explanation. And I strictly oppose the word hate. Like many or most of the forum members take delight in bashing Iswari and Dev ... I can have my own likes and dislikes.

This is precisely why he is in the doghouse with me now. I am not judging him for addressing his mother in law as aunty. Sonakshi chose you address her boyfriend's mother as ma in private and that was her decision. Similarly he chose to address Mrs Bose as ma before the wedding. I am surprised he hasn't asked Ishwari how come she only noticed that now. Ishwari's problem wasn't what he addresses his mother in law as. She even said that. She never told him the real problem. Her problem was her son was feeding his mother in law like he feeds Ishwari.

Nonetheless, the issue isn't what he addresses his mother in law as. The issue is the way he tried to sneak it in, then lied to Sonakshi that it was a slip of tongue, then when she brought it up again, he didn't come clear of his longer term intentions and goes on to try and control what sonakshi's reaction would be (she chose a tit for tat style and that's another conversation...)

I said this before. There are sensible respectful ways of dealing with this. Had he come clean and spoken to Sonakshi and his mother in law, and explained his reasons atleast they would have talked. That is my problem. He can address her as aunty, mam, Mrs Bose, Asha, mummy ji, maji... whatever. But come clean

And i still hold the opinion that Ishwari is the one who set him up for this. Why is she defending him in front of sonakshi and not telling her that he will address Mrs Bose as whatever him and Mrs Bose decide and that she won't interfere.

Oh you are most certainly entitled to your own opinion. But I was curious to ask due to your constant attack on the character/actor even when there wasn't an actual conflict between the characters. I guess it's backwards people like you that is holding our world behind from rationality and equality throughout.

Dev never thinks so. He genuinely feels for Sona's family. He respects Ashabose. Values Bijoy even when he would not reciprocate. He understood Bijoy's concern for Sona when he did not wish him.
Dev loves Saurav and Elena. He is not that insensitive to think he can have relationship only with Sona
Having said that I mentioned he did wrong first calling Asha Maa and then calling Aunty.
I felt he should share this with Asha and say sorry.

I strongly believe relationships flourish with mutual love and respect but not by the way how a particular person is addressed by other.
Dev will never stand back where his duties and responsibilities are in question. He will fulfill them irrespective of Iswari's insecurities.
I think Dev's respect and adoration for Asha won't change depending upon the way he addresses her.
To me Dev really values his relationship with Sona's family.

"Dev loves Saurav and Elena" Hahahaha so you don't like the word 'hate', but you're okay with throwing around the word 'Love' meaninglessly?

@ irrespective of Iswari's feelings I mentioned Dev is wrong in doing so.

Nonetheless, the issue isn't what he addresses his mother in law as. @Yes. He did not tell the real fact. He should have done so.

@ I already said in my post that he should discuss the matter with Asha who is sensible enough to understand his dilemma and help him out.

And i still hold the opinion that Ishwari is the one who set him up for this. Why is she defending him in front of sonakshi and not telling her that he will address Mrs Bose as whatever him and Mrs Bose decide and that she won't interfere.

@ No. Dev also regretted calling so. He admitted it before Iswari.
I differ with the forum members who feel that Iswari scares him. No Dev is bold enough to make his point before her if he wants to. He confronted her why she is making Sona do Vrat and all that.

@ Finally I feel the matter is blown out of proportion. CVs are taking up these matters when more important matters lie pending.

There you go. That's why there is no defending him this time. I don't know what the difference between not finding Dev's actions justified vs the writers having lost the original character. Dev is their baby right. They make him do things they feel fit. In this instance they are swaying from his original portrayal and Dev's actions aren't justified.

@ itelidevara , can you please give some examples to support your statement that "I don't think he will discriminate among Iswari,Dida,Asha and Bijoy to extend his services". This guy kept his wife waiting for 2 hours in front of a club house just because he could not tell his mother to postpone the birthday celebrations for 15-20 minutes so his wife could arrive with the driver and join the festivities and you think he will not discriminate against Ishwari and Boses? A person's real behavior is tested in a situation when there is a conflict. He is a rich guy, he throws money at things easily so helping the Boses financially is no big deal for him. (The Boses may not take his help and that is separate discussion topic). He never showed any interest in Saurabh's undergarment business, only visited Boses when he had to get Sona back or when he went to meet Sona before marriage. Has he ever been shown to talk with Elena or Saurabh and ask them how they are doing ? The only time he asked Saurabh about the family was when he was stalking Sona and wanted some insider information about her engagement. Has he ever spent any time with Dadi? He was more eager to talk with Sona at the kitchen when he feared that she may have addressed Ishwari as aunty than he was when he called the driver to ask if she was safe. Could he not ask the driver to give the phone to her so that he could ask her if she was OK.
