Difference betwn Dev- Sona and Ranveer- Neha
Dev and Sona faced a lot of trouble prior to marriage , so they know each other well and they have a fair understanding of the troubles that are going to hit them after marriage. Like Sona knows how possessive her inlaws are . Dev knows abt Sona's medical condition. Both may not be aware of the prenup that is going to hit them but I feel they will solve that one too. Dev and Sona had gone thru a break up and they are so scared of loosing each other , so every time they fight they want to get back because they know what life is with out the other. For Dev Sona is like oxygen , he needs her always . And for this I give credit to Sona because she loves him selflessly , It is her selfless love and blind understanding for him that made her so important in his life.
Ranveer and Neha did not have to face so much prior to marriage . It was much easier that what Dev and Sona went thru. But post marriage when they started facing issues they are not able to handle it. Neha and Ranveer are too adamant. Neha's side of family only added to her misery by guiding her in a wrong way !!
Neha is the most interesting character of this serial. Its like she entice us every moment because she herself is not sure what she wants in life and what will make her happy. Her problem she has locked herself in the past even though they have come out of it and she fears that poverty stricken past . As a child she has seen the worst . She was deprived of everything including her childhood. Both brother and mother knows it but by the time they realized it she was no more approachable .
Now comes Ranveer into her life giving all attention and care that yearned for as a child and she falls in love with him . She knew he was poor but she thought she could overcome her fear of poverty and marries him. After she reaches there , when she is dumped with responsibility and Ranveer busy making money to meet the family financial expenses she feels neglected . When she was young she didn't see this part of her brother s struggle because Ishwari never allowed the sisters to interact with Dev. We need to understand that the financial burden was ONLY discussed between Ishwari and Dev. Dev more of a provider like a father .
Neha thinks like her brother Ranveer should also earn money and start becoming rich . What she doesn't understand is that Dev didn't become rich in a day /month or a year. He took years to be who he is today with a lot of sacrifice from his side too. We know that with some of the statements that he shares with Sona. (His talk of friends having GF and how they go to meet them). His struggle for being rich and successful started from his school days ( Talks about selling newspaper early morning ). Had she been made to realise this aspect of her brother's struggle , she would have respected her brother more and also would have adjusted with Ranveer.
Neha's conversation with Ishwari showed that she is again thinking of just one aspect - abt Love that husband has for his wife. Instead of telling her daughter abt the scarifices and trouble that Sona had to go thru...Ishwari becomes jealous of what she hears from Neha. Ishwari is so occupied with her insecurities that she forgets Neha's issues. This is very evident by the way they are handling the issue. When Neha came home , Ranveer called her many times but she refused to pick the call. When he came home to talk to her , family members got involved in their fight and he had to walk out because of harsh words that were exchanged. Instead of taking an impartial approach , the Dixits stood by their girl and forgot that after marriage both should be seen equally.
The situation is the same with Dev and Sona. But the world doesn't understand this . Ishwari thinks she was able to sent her DIL home . Reality Sona wanted to teach a lesson to Dev and she went home. There she never agrees to her parents that they have fought. She always maintains that they love each other .So Dev's image in front of her parents is perfect. When Dev comes home she asks him to leave as she will stay at her parents house and get back. Her parents are smart , they sense there is some issue betwn them . Instead of interfering her father kicks them out in the middle of the night to sort out their issue. He played it smart. Now a loving husband is not going to leave his wife in the middle of the night so he is bound to be with her and eventually both of them got talking.
This maturity that was shown by Sona's parents is not there in Dixit family. A father's absence is greatly felt there . Dev is the patriarch of that house but he has come up of his own with very less guidance from a man. He is too young to fit the fathers shoes .
Just wondering how Neha's issue will be solved. With Ishwari and Dev being absolutely adamant of getting Ranveer out of Neha's life I don't know how Sona will be able to help Neha. Infact I think Sona should stay away from it or she will destroy her marriage.
