Dev not being able to convert his 'me' thought process to 'we' thought process by having a clear discussion with Sona is complicating the issue everytime.

Whenever they say/do something,it's either Dev's POV or Sona's POV but not a common POV which is the first basic step towards a successful married life.
A couple must have a mutual agreement and even if they don't agree then they must atleast convincingly agree to disagree with each other.

Here the couple totally seem to ignore each other in terms of building a mutual understanding.
They are just transitioning from one issue to another by ending each issue on romantic patch up note without actually dealing with the main issue.

I guess DevSona needs to work on their basic Couple goals first before they get into family dynamics that involves fitting other people of your family in your relationship.

If they don't act on it now then their relationship will remain vulnerable and prone to external factors like Ishwari,Neha ,GKB etc as ever before.

I will not blame Sona as much as I blame Dev for this.
She made her efforts and failed miserably due to Dev's reluctance..
But after all that she is still not letting a third person question their understanding.
I loved how Sona took a stand for her relationship when Neha questioned their understanding and mutual agreement.

Dev on the other hand ,one incident after other, is giving away his relationship in the hands of these ladies by not signaling them there is infact a thick and clear line beyond which nobody is allowed to control or say stuffs in their relationship.

High time for Dev to act now!!

Devakshi relationship has been dead for quite a while by now. It's Ishwari-Sona's relationship which Dev-Sona have been living for quite sometime now. Hope Dev realizes that Sona is MARRIED to him. The primary responsibility of Sona in Dixit House is HIS. That he is supposed to know Sona the best, and his family is supposed to know Sona THROUGH him. If he behaves like Ishwari to Sona, I dont know what complications will be there in near future. 😵

While I am enjoying the current track, primarily due to the chemistry of Devakshi and the flow, the hard reality of the matter is just as you very nicely said it. It is the Ishwari-Sona relationship that Dev-Sona have been living in the Dixit house, though in times of emotional and physical intimacy they may have their moments of Dev-Sona in them, once outside of that, and in the realm of the Dixit environment it is something else. The good news is Dev is changing...and Sona is making him change... if Dev changes overnight, the show is over, isn't it? Ishwari too has to change. The slower they change the longer our show runs! 😊

When it comes to solving problem at his home and Sona trying to help, he alienates her saying that she will never understand the bonding betwn him and his family.

I know it takes time for a couple to adjust to each other post marriage and understand each other's family. Yesterday when Dev decided to go and pick Sona , his mom says she is the one who sent Sona home for Bhai dhooj. Dev's reaction is what scared me . He did question his mom politely and even emphasized on the fact that Sona is a part of their family...but I felt when his mom said she has allowed Sona to stay at her parents house for few more days after Bhai Dhooj, he should have objected to it . He should have made it very clear that when it comes to his wife there are certain things that he will decide. He again behaved like the Dev during the break up track days!!

I know he has changed a lot but I feel he is still allowing Ishwari to take decision for the two of them ...or let me rephrase it ...his behavior and attitude will allow Ishwari to manipulate the situation and spoil their relationship.

Yesterday we did see him saying it loud that she is his wife and a part of his family, though his actions were far from what he spoke. I am glad at least he said it aloud. Till this time, she was only a part of him and not his family. Now he has slowly started getting used to the idea of her not only being a part of him but also his family. And probably that is the reason why he told his mom the same.

But what he needs to understand is until and unless he gives her that position in his life and establish the same in front of his family, his family is going to treat her as an outsider. He has to not ONLY feel but also behave in such a way that ppl see Sona as his family...

If he doesnt make changes to his attitude , his mom and sis will literally spoil their relationship. Today Ishwari being able to keep Sona away from him was an example...I felt more of trailer to the actual separation that might come up in future track

Let us hope he will soon realize this and behave accordingly.

Great, sensible post. I wonder why some people resort to sarcasm to put forward their views. Hope more learn from you.

I would not be able to stomach a second separation now! Too tired of separations in Indian shows! Too cliched! The oft beaten track...
