Tia 2 posts in a row too good😆

For today's episode I will watch once I reach airport (my bi-weekly travel to USA hits me bad 😔) but I can't wait till that to post my reviews.

I am shocked, shocked that Sona found it very unlikely of Dev to do something like this😆. Why ? Didn't Sona see Dev doing it twice with her and innocent people around her ? Oh she must have enjoyed that time since the intention of those actions must be to have Sona in precious Dev's life. But today she can't accept the same behavior when another innocent guy is victim who has nothing to do with Sona😆. I am amused at Sona's surprise.
Well for Sona, i will say she suffers from selective blindness. She tries to apply her own logic but does not feel the necessity to understand the reasons for the actions. To me if Dev was hell bent on destroying Ranveer, he would have done it the very minute neha entered his house or the by the same evening when he challenged Ranveer saying that his lawyers will talk to him.
I am not saying what Dev did is right, but somewhere i have a feeling that Dev getting Ranveer terminated is a consequence of Ranveer sending harassment notice to Neha,

I must say, this is one department where Ishwari scores better. Except for her possessiveness over Dev, she has never showed/insulted outsiders. She has accepted all insults from Bose Baba and even treated Ranveer with respect which Dev failed to do.

Psychiatrists's field day -

Ishwari - The issue is with Insecurity and possessiveness. Remaining all her actions I find more or less understandable or relatable. Once her possessiveness with Dev decreases, she would automatically get closer to her daughters.

More than Possessiveness, its her insecurity. Her fear for life in general, she gave the BEST for Dev with an expectation that he will eventually take over her role as the provider. Today her BIGGEST INSECURITY that Dev may not feel so indebted like she expects him to feel . She tries to be over possessive with Dev so that he stays indebted.

Neha - The most needy patient. She suffers from acute depression and inferiority complexfrom lifelong deprivation of her rights, her mother's love, affection and care and had been made a mother when she herself needed one. Once she achieves mental peace and seeks for happiness within herself, she would be coming across as most sensible, unbiased and sweet girl. Only she has the ability to see things objectively, a quality Sona has for others except for Dev.
Bang on !!!! what she needs is an IDENTITY to call as her own and an acknowledgement as an achiever. She craves for the feeling of being loved, affection and most importantly being pampered. every adult has a child inside them, just that the child in her is little more childish. She is not expecting Ranveer to dance to her tunes, but wants to see a spark to excel at things in him. her biggest complaint about ranveer is his feeling of resignedness . she wants him to be a go -getter. cannot achieve never mind but atleast TRY!!!

Sona - Suffers from the disease which in Jaane tu ya jaane na, the character of Meghna faced. Total ignorance to the reality and creating a dream world of her own where everyone's perfect and normal. This might be working as a slow poison. I hope somebody (may be Baba or someone from Bose, or even life) shows her the reality before it's too late and she becomes unable to face the ugliness of it.
Somewhere i always saw Sona as a dreamer, in her own lala land. to me i always felt she only knows 2 things, my way or highway. There is only black and white in her land, no greys. Right from calling Dev as aubhodro, to falling in love with him , breakup, patch up or even marriage and post marriage, i find her to be impulsive. I have this feeling that she gets carried away easily and asha often points out, she is as stubborn as her BABA. Just because she does not feel it to be right, there is no rule that the other person is wrong. Most of the things we claim as right or wrong are circumstantial and depend on the angle of our vision.
More than BABA i feel it will be Asha who can knock some sense into her.

Dev - The MOST injured child of all. Outwardly on the spot 2 problems can be identified - Anger issues and uncanny devotion towards a fellow human being to an extent which blocks judgement. If we go deeper, we will find complex layers of acute depression fed by guilt, guilt for being responsible of their dreaded childhood, guilt for not being able to protect his mother from the pain, guilt from depriving Neha of her rights, guilt for having their family face such terrible days - all of them are baseless and untrue, he did not cause all these, he has reasons to feel the sufferings, but has NO REASON to be GUILTY of those. Once he realizes how he alone with extreme struggle pulled the whole family out of poverty, once he realizes how he stood out in the crowd to grab every opportunity which came his way and got himself into Forbes List, how he has fulfilled his mommy's every dream, how he has grown up as a sensitive and respectful towards elders etc, he would know how much he has done for his family, he would realize that there is NO point of being in the guilt trip so often, that there is nothing more which as a son AND as himself a victim of poverty, could have done. Once he realizes that he should indeed be PROUD of himself and not GUILTY, he would automatically stop being so obnoxious and cruel to outsiders to do MORE for his family, once he realizes that, Ishwari will not be able to manipulate him so easily like she does now. And for all these, Ishwari is responsible, she has injected all these into each layer of his subconscious mind that he freaks out when he can't help his family. But everyone in your family is NOT your responsibility Dev. Don't lose your identity and individuality due to ANYONE else.

I love this analysis of Dev . As i often said, his cancelling his HM is only because of his GUILT and nothing else. He is the most Guilt stricken soul. his break up with Sona was also a consequence of this guilt, not that he never really loved her. She means the world to him. Even today getting Ranveer terminated is a action from his Guilt towards neha, he feels he needs to retaliate for all the misery that ranveer has caused to neha. The day he can put this feeling of Guilt at bay and move forward with a sense of Pride, there is no turning BACK. Of all the characters, he is the most strongest, his guilt is his achilles heel.

Howmuch ever annoying it is to see another super-girl Bahu in telly world with shitloads of expectations from her to rectify everything with a magic wand, but still I truly hope Sona would be able to bring that change into them.

Before sona can bring in changes in others, she has to first come out of her delusional world and acknowledge the real issues.
1. ishwari - insecurity
2 dev - guilt
3. neha - identity
4. mamaji - escapist
5. radharani - authority

Tia, yours is the only post where I feel at ease to express my opinions openly without any upsetting personal attacks from other members. Thank you. What surprise me most is some forum members are not even realizing that this is an open forum and everyone has the rights for open discussion. If they don't like anything written they can just agree to disagree politely instead of giving rude suggestions like stop watching the show or go and watch it from the beginning or there are other forums for you to discuss and talk. I am like seriously? Is this your private property, do you even have any basic etiquettes for your fellow members? or maybe you don't know we are just analyzing fictional characters. Do you know the meaning of freedom of speech? If so please stop offending anyone as each and every one of us have our own thought processes.

You are most welcome to share your thoughts in my post, Ann. I have zero restriction on my post except be respectful to others. You don't even have to have the same opinion as me to post comment here and I will still like what you have to say and reply back to you with my point of view. After all that is how you have healthy discussion, right?

Now coming to your point about Freedom of Speech. There's a new trend I have noticed among people that these days, some people think it's their right to shut people's mouth if they don't like what they are saying instead of not just not listening/reading.

These are the same people who actually go and read the posts they don't like and then preach that if those post makers don't like the show, they should not watch it instead of, I don't know, skipping that post and actually practice what they preach?

However, I am glad that we have a bunch of people who regularly come to my post for a healthy discussion that covers all points of views and actually have intelligent discussion without insulting real people for fictional characters. That's the only reason I make post everyday. Otherwise I had given up on it already.

Rose got upset too. But I told her that ignore them. They are never going to practice what they are preaching. The way I see it is if our voices were not strong, if our posts weren't interesting, if our posts weren't always so popular, they won't bother with us. And may be that's their problem that we have a stronger voice and a stronger presence.

No one bothers when a post pops up with random comment about a character written poorly. However, when someone sees powerful writing with strong rational arguments which they are not able to counterargue, they resort to insults.

It must get so boring to write an ode to a fictional character's good looks and romance every single day ignoring every other relevant aspect of the show with current issues of society. At least we have new subject matter to write about and discuss every day.

There's a reason so many people come and share their stories in my posts. They have gone through the pain of being an outsider and treated unfairly in their own life and had experienced the problem in person. It's more than fiction for them, yet they don't insult real people, they point out the obvious problems in fictional characters. That's called class. You can't buy it in the store. You either have it or not.

Then they target us as Feminists as if that's an insult. I take it as a compliment. The idiots don't understand that the reason they are educated enough to sit in front of the computer and insult another woman from behind the cloak of anonymity are because those Feminists fought for their rights, both men and women. If they had not, they would have been still being married of at 10 and dying in child birth at 11.

Liking a fictional character or a show is not wrong. But attacking real people for pointing out what you don't want to hear is actually disgusting and actually shows that you have absolutely no sense of decency.

And I am glad that there are certain people who stay out of my posts. My posts remain insult-free, clutter-free, filled with intelligent discussion from smart people.

Hope you phenomenal people are having a great weekend. A special shout out to Tia for opening a thread every day and aiding discussions on the show or life experiences related or unrelated to the show.

First of all a big hug to people who are upset about the name calling and the branding of us as 'feminists' did not know that was a dirty word! Or calling us negative because we just had a different point of view.
We certainly don't want to be slaughtered so stand tall and speak to be heard

Tia, I have read all your posts where you respectfully agree or disagree with a logic, but you never tell anyone to stop watching the show or say something that hurts their feelings. Difference of opinions happens most of the times, people have different opinion based on different emotions and preferences, and it's always better to understand and respect other's opinion without hurting their feelings. There are some members who I guess are not educated enough to comprehend the meaning of healthy discussion and start showing aggressiveness publicly, I don't know what they are up to after all what is there to win. Me too I am a proud feminist and a Hillary supporter. I strongly believe in gender equality. It would be historic to have first woman President of USA. Please keep making posts, you're the best. Have a great weekend!

Thank you. Honestly if I was an American, I'd vote for anyone but Trump. Even a donkey would be a better choice. Lol... Have a great weekend, Ann.
