Dixit family is a psychiatrist's dream. Ek hi family mein itne clients hamesha milte nehin naa...

Ishwari, Neha and Dev everyone claims that they know each other better and they understand each other more than anyone else.

An outsider or rather kal ki aayee hui ladki unko kabhi nehin samajh sakti.

And look at the proof...

Ishwari thinks Neha hates her for the past. So if she just let's her divorce Ranveer and showers money (not love or attention) then all will be well.

Ishwari also thinks she is Dev's only priority followed by his other family (not Sona) and his business. So the only person who can make Neha happy is Dev himself so whatever he does is correct.

Neha thinks that Ishwari was bad to her in the past. But because she is saying yes to all her demands now, she is concerned for her well-being.

Neha thinks that Dev got all the advantages growing up so now he can just make Ranveer rich like him and make his family move far away so that she can finally live Sona's life.

Dev thinks Ishwari loves him and so whatever makes him happy will make her happy and she really would like Sona to be a part of their family.

Dev also thinks that Neha hates Ranveer and because Ranveer didn't do exactly what Neha demanded which upset Neha, he and his family who was innocent in all this deserve to starve on the street.

Do you see just how much they really know each other?

Sona, the outsider, thinks Dev is a flawed person who is hot headed. He has never thought twice to destroy, manipulate or ruin other people's life for the people he loves. So she wanted to help Neha instead because she could handle everything with maturity.

She knew about Ishwari's insecurity and always verbally assured Ishwari how important she is to them. She knows very well that Ishwari just tolerates her for Dev and it won't take her two seconds to turn against her if one day Dev demands divorce like Neha.

Sona also knew that Neha still loves Ranveer and only through talking and discussing their marriage can be sorted. Because Ranveer and Neha are not willing to do it, family members needs to intervene and help this confused couple.

See how much this outsider knows them?

In a comment on Pehchaan Kaun's post I wrote,

Dev may be overly generous with the people he loves. But he can be cruel too.

We have seen it targeted towards Sona, towards Ranveer, towards Ritwik, towards Tina etc. When he gets his way, he is overly charming. But when things aren't moving to his will, his arrogance kicks in...

But then who else have we seen exactly like that? Hummm... let me think. Ishwari and Neha.

Ishwari is the epitome of modern thinking when she is encouraging Sona to go to work. But when things doesn't go her way, she turns on her within seconds.

Neha is very sweet when she is happy. But again, she can be equally cruel when she is unhappy.

So the apple didn't really fall much further than the tree.

Following up to that comment, I expected Dev to identify with Ranveer the most. Because they are both the sole bread earner of their family, they both have seen bad days and they are both protective of their family.

How could he of all people threw out Ranveer from his job when he knows that Ranveer took that job leaving his old job just for Neha. If he was still working in the old job, Dev could not have done that so easily.

Also, Dev knows what could have happened to his family if someone had threw him out of his first job. Yet, how can someone do so cheap and mean thing to someone else is beyond my imagination.

But Ranveer let go of his ego and took the job so that he can keep his wife in a better situation and look how he got paid.

That's why I keep saying self-respect should never be compromised for any relationship for both man or woman. Because if you compromise it and then the relationship is gone, you are left empty handed.

I was extremely disappointed and angry at Dev today, but I am not surprised. His cruel streak were ignored by a lot of people. Sona forgot how Dev twice manipulated her - 1. to make her his mother's nutritionist and 2. to make Ritwik away from her by breaking his dreams.

But both of that incidences Sona forgot and never mentioned because well, she is in love with Dev. In fact Dev was rewarded for his efforts. In both cases he got what he wanted to achieve.

Now Sona should not be at all surprised by his ruthless streak.

However, I don't like people who thinks they are God and can play with people's life just because they have money. It's not acceptable in my book.

If I have to guess, that's why Sona will go to her home upset. But for heaven's sake, for once, let him see the consequences of his action.

P.S. Kya ulta pulta episode tha aaj to.

Dev ban gaya villain aur maar di Ranveer ke parivar ke pet pe laath.

Aur Radha ban gayee concerned Mami aur laga diya Sona ke pairon mein haath.

Aaj sooraj kidhar se ug gaya? Lagta hain Diwali gift ka asar abhi tak chal raha hain.

Let me first get the short shocking moment out of the way.GKB showed genuine concern for Sona? Haila! Couldn't believe my eyes.

The episode started with a sweet aww inducing moment but after that?Aww se haw ho gaya.

1.Ranveer's notice was unexpected to say the least.Going by Ranveer's bhabhi's words , Neha seems to have done something major which is yet to be disclosed.Maybe that's why she's so tight lipped about it.All this certainly puts a big question mark on their chances of reconciliation.

2.Dev's reaction- Not surprising now.He did the same with Sona and Ritwik without any regrets.I fail to understand how can a person who has suffered due to poverty himself can repeatedly do such things. That's plain cruel.But then again,he has always been rewarded even after such actions.

-Closed all avenues for Sona to force her to take up his job offer:Reward-She fell in love.

-Created problems for Ritwik's clinic:Reward:Got back Sonakshi

-Used his power against Ranveer today: Reward? Neha will most likely be very happy with this display of love for her.

Sona is upset,Dev will woo her,Sona will forgive him.But will she be able to make him see his mistake this time?That's my only hope.

And then Sona being a target of his anger. Again.

I would agree with some of his words.Sona darling,come out of your fairytale. It's not a dream.Dev has always been like this,it's only you who has closed your eyes towards it.Thankfully, she didn't stay silent on this matter at least.

3.Ishwari- It's become so repetitive now.Dev is happy with Sona,Ishwari comes with her "kind" words, gloomy face, resigned tone and successfully makes him sad & guilty. Her words were correct but her actions, reactions & intentions were obviously not.Sach to lastly nikal hi gaya:"Main buri maa nahi kehlana chahti"After all her image matters to her so much.

4.Mamaji always understands Ishwari's reactions & can see the truth behind her words but rarely says anything.If nothing else,then at least make Dev aware about it.Otherwise Dev is always under the illusion that Ishwari has whole heartedly accepted Sona.

5.Elena is annoying.Is she a 5 year old kid who can't understand the difference between genuine & fakeShe is all smiley smiley after getting Vicky's messages. 2 sweet words and she melted? Hadd hai yar.

PS:I know some of my points are already mentioned in your post but I had already typed all this up before you posted so I am making you read the same again😆

I'll add one after reading your post.Yes,yes this family looks likes a psychiatrists dream where oeverybody understands each other so well.

I think this time sonal will remind him of the situations how he had troubled her...

I wishhh...they show sum1 more powerful then Dev wants to hire Sona as his personl nutritionist and does everything that he did to Sona...that will make him realise what others go through when people interfere in their life...

Anyways..i loved caring Dev though

No comments on Dixits...issueworry will say to me "you dont understand us" so im staying away from them😆

I had stopped hoping for Dev's growth long ago and he keeps assuring me of the same again and again. His casual remark about how he stalked Sona because he was in "love", his disappointment when he found out that Ranveer was not stalking Neha, his conversation with Ranveer and what he did in today's episode, everything keeps reminding me that he's never growing up. I wasn't even surprised with the news of Ranveer being fired. Although, I was really surprised when Dev said that how and when did Neha mentally torture her in-laws. Really Dev? Is he that blind? Deaf?

What surprised me is Sonakshi's reaction. She says 'Dev aap aise nahin hain'. She is the one who knows that Dev can to any extent for his family. After all, she has gone through this. She was the first one on the show to be fired like this, for no apparent reason, for the greatest reason of all- Dev ki maa. How can she forget all that? Amnesia?

I know. Diwali gifts are still paying off... Sona has finally successfully completed Dixit orientation course and passed with honours...

Sona agar ab bhi silent rehti to finally thik hota. Yeh Maa bete ki famous comment that she should stay out of it ka matlab sab ko samajh mein aa jaata.

The issue is that Ishwari doesn't want to be CALLED a bad mother even though she IS a bad mother. Because if she really didn't want to be a bad mother, she won't have indirectly indicated that by tending to his wife's wound, Dev has broken a "parampara". The way she talks as if this was going on since last three generation instead of only since Dev grew up.

Dev may be in illusion. But Mamaji definitely isn't. But he also knows that his sister is crazy. Aur koi bhi ek hi chad ke niche rehte hue pagal ko bhadkana nehin chahta.

I can't even tolerate her stupidity any more. So I fast forward her scenes. Whatever happens to her would be her own idiocy.

Hi Beautiful people ❤️ beautiful Post and analyses as always.

Going by the written updates looks like the story is becoming more realistic and moving along.

I want to give my take on the events from a parenting perspective so here goes...

As I see the story moving along I see 4 different parenting style in play here in the the three story lines now running in Parallel

Easwari and Dev-Authoritarian parenting

if your parenting style was authoritarian then your child might not be able to develop proper self regulation

Bijoy/Asha and Sona and Saurabh

Authoritative parenting

Authoritative parents encourage their children to be independent, but also set limits and boundaries. Discipline is applied, but in a supportive, non-punitive way

Easwari- Neha and to some Extent Elena and her absentee parents

Neglectful parenting

Children of neglectful parents can have behavior problems due to lack of self-control.

GKB and Vikki

Indulgent parenting

This parenting style often leads to very little self-control, few boundaries, and a sense of entitlement

Now to the three story lines:

Neha and Ranveer - The story is getting ugly and Money or lack therof is where it started but now harassment is on the picture. With Ranveer citing mental harassment and Dev harassing back with what he knows best his money..he has a pattern of doing this did it with Sona, Did it with Ritik and now with Ranveer..all three middle class . Here I see Dev having no Self Regulation and Neha having lack of self control where she does not see the bigger picture of her actions.

Sona and Dev: are a very loving and caring couple now . Dev seems to even learn how to balance between his mother and Sona and Easwari right now though angry is not doing anything drastic. But because of Dev's actions against Ranveer now Sona is opening her eyes to another side of Dev. She fell in love with the Dev who would do anything for his family but is she aware of a Dev who is vindictive and use his money to get his way?. Though Easwari does not have an active role in this problem she is a catalyst because of Neha.

Here I see the conflict between a child who had a authoritarian parenting to an authoritative one

One who has no self regulation and one who knows when to set limits and boundaries

Vicky and Elena: a pair for the life of me I dont know why but since the makers are going there.. Vicky is a jerk, encouraged by his mother every time does not know right from wrong. He tries to trap Elena though she is resisting maybe will get trapped but I am thinking in this love story Vicki will change towards Elena and I think that his mother will play a role in this. Flashback to a scene at the breakfast table where Nikki discusses about her mother being the ideal MIL whereas GKB will not I am thinking for all her selfishness, crassness and love for money she will turn out to be a good MIL to Elena and that is how Vicky will change?..

Here it is a conflict between Indulgent and neglectful parenting

All these stories will converge. Dev's act towards Ranveer will come back to bite him when the Pre Nup comes out because he will not be able to talk himself out of saying he did not sign because when it comes to his family he can go to any extend and Sona will think that is what he did here.

The only part I am unable to predict now is whether there will be a future for Ranveer and Neha or will they use it as a way for Neha to first start on her path to being independent.

i just made a post about sona after watching the episode. i love her character but CVs are destroying it. this is not the same sona who tells Dev like it is..

Dev is and will always remain cruel and self centered. Not only Neha but even Sona was swept away in love and is due for a rude awakening. The way Neha brushed all her material desires under the carpet for marrying Ranveer same way Sona managed a selective amnesia with respect to Dev's ruthlessness with those for whom he doesn't care.

For the first few days of marriage everything is rosy but after that these issues start poking their head from under the carpet.

You are right. That would be poetic justice. But I doubt Dev will still connect what he did with what they did. It seems Dixits never see the most obvious comparison like Neha's situation and Sona's situation.

As I mentioned in my post. Dev is overly generous with people he loves and he can take any mistreatment from them. But he is equally mean to other people who he doesn't love.

I hope Sona prays that Dev never fall out of love with her, because then along with her, he will destroy the whole Bose family.

Ishwari maata who is so far ignoring Neha issue (even after knowing her daughter has messed up) ... cannot ignore the issue any further because this time her laadla beta has messed up 😛

My guess :

1. Dev will have to rectify his mistake and apologize to Ranveer cause Sona, Ishwari and Neha all three will be against him in this step (that's why in the SBS segment Dev is feeling bad during breakfast and telling Mama that Sona mujhse naraz hai issiliye bina bataye chali gayi)

2. Ranveer will then feel bad too that he behaved so badly with Sona and might apologize.

3. And from there both the families might get involved just as Sona wants.
