Well looks like he has amnesia. He forgot that he himself came from such a humble background and it was through sheer hard work that he has reached this pinnacle. Ishwari wants to fulfill Dev's zidd and Dev wants to fulfill Neha's zidd. They know nothing beyond that. But I was in splits when towards the end Dev tells Ranveer that fine my lawyers will talk to you. What will they talk ? I mean Neha applied for a divorce. She is not ready for a discussion, she refuses to meet Ranveer or attend his calls and yet Ranveer will answer the laywers. Seriously ? Unless the makers wants to show a harassment track etc. this dialogue does not make any sense.

It proves one thing, no matter how rich you are today, you can never buy your past. Dev's reflex action/ comment reflected his past background.

Dev may be overly generous with the people he loves. But he can be cruel too.

We have seen it targeted towards Sona, towards Ranveer, towards Ritwik, towards Tina etc. When he gets his way, he is overly charming. But when things aren't moving to his will, his arrogance kicks in...

But then who else have we seen exactly like that? Hummm... let me think. Ishwari and Neha.

Ishwari is the epitome of modern thinking when she is encouraging Sona to go to work. But when things doesn't go her way, she turns on her within seconds.

Neha is very sweet when she is happy. But again, she can be equally cruel when she is unhappy.

So the apple didn't really fall much further than the tree.

Moving on to the Kal Kothri comment.

As far as I know, Dev or Neha wasn't born with a silver spoon stuck in their throat (I was going to use a$$, but then this is a public forum). So Ranveer can accuse Dev and Ishwari for putting Neha in Kal Kothri in her childhood. Just like they had no money then to live a better life, Ranveer doesn't have any money now either.

Besides, Kal Kothri by definition is Black hole of a prison where people suffocate because the air is toxic and stale. If I go by definition, Dixit house is a bigger kal kothri than Ranveer's house can ever be.

Neha had all the respect and honour as befits a newly wedded bride from Ranveer's family. They tried their best with what little they had to accommodate Neha's needs. Money might be tight, but respect and love wasn't...

On the other hand, Sona lives in a gilded cage of minefields.

One false step and insults and humiliation blow up in her face and she is shown the little "X" mark outside the family circle which is her spot. Every time she tries to enter the inner family circle, she is neatly caged back into the her place outside the boundary.

But Dev, being the loving husband, remembers to pat her head for Sona understanding her place before he heads back into his family circle.

I wonder which one sounds more like Kal Kothri? In my opinion, the later. But then I love my freedom more than I value my comforts.

I don't think... In my version dev jitne selfish insaan maine aaj thak nahi deki

And when he said "rAnveer neha ko deserve hi nahi jarta..

I was like really dev actually ye dialogue reverse hona chahiye

Tumari oo aggressive aur selfish behen ranveer jise kudhar insaan ko deserve nahi karti

One needs to make a list of dialogues made by Dev which contradicts his character and actions. At the same Sonakshi should find out that Dev said this that would be another base for a tiff between DevAkshi other than what the CV's have already planned.

Dev has married a girl from "a similar supposed Kaalkothri" and just transferred Sonakshi into a bigger Kaalkothri aka Ishwari Niwas! like how tia.o mentioned.

Somewhere Ishwari who herself does not have a matured emotional growth could not compensate Dev with something similar to an Emotional Development. I dont get what is so realistic about demeaning your own origin!

again.. its Ishwari's parenting or lack thereof all kids have been taught to worship, not value, money 😡 thats the difference!!!! Dev has learned only money and things it buys solves problems. heck.. this is the same Dev who was paying a guy at one time to marry his sister 😆 why are people surprised that Dev would react differently to this? thats all he knows.. buy or bully people into getting what he wants! thats what he has dine in every situation... Ishwari's illness, Sona marrying Ritvik. when money didnt work with RV, Dev went on bully mode.. insulting RV, threatening him with his lawyers etc.

I would have been surprised if Dev handled this differently 😉

I am glad Ranveer gave it back to him with outright temper return but Dev deserved much more than that.

All thanks to Ishwari that all her life she has been teaching her kids importance of money and luxuries such that anything and anyone can be traded with money. No wonder Dev is trying to save her sister's marriage by trading it with money.
Importance of money is negatively influencing Dev's life,his relationships and most importantly his POOR attitude towards others.Dev might just want to reevaluate all of that.I will certainly not call him rich.

Yes Shilky. It's sad how Dixits can't see things beyond money when problem arises. I am not sure about Ishwari, but Dev definitely brings money into every discussion. Indeed it's BAD parenting. When poverty struck them, Ishwari was a mature adult, that's why we can see her balance when it comes to solving something through money. But she forgot to pass those values to her children and focussed on making them capable of only collecting money and not anything else. She has created some shallow petty human beings who are by the way filthy rich. 😕 I doubt if Dev will ever have to evaluate his outlook towards others, because Sonakshi is not giving him any reason to. Instead of trying to making him a better person, she is coming down to their level and if not, then adjusting herself to their creepy attitude. For once I dont mind KRPKAB being a cliche show and showing ghar ki bahu Sona having magic spell on everyone in sasural and turns everyone into good human being. At least that would be much better thing to watch.

The lowest low was obviously calling Ranveer's house kal kothri. Shameful.

😃 And today he was comparing himself with Ranveer, that how nicely he did those criminal activities i.e. stalking and harassing Rithwik in the name of lau. This guy never fails to surprise me 😕. I was happy with Sona's frowning expressions 😆
