Well, I just thought that this deserves a separate topic. Dev has always been manipulative and thought money can solve all problems for his family. I have accepted this male lead who doesn't understand anything beyond family and disregards others' wishes totally.

But today he fell to a new low with this single dialog. Calling Ranveer's home as Kaalkothri ? Is that what Dixits learn from their troubled past ? To insult the poor people and their homes for lack of money ? Honestly, I can't believe Dev had said that, it is of GKB level 😕. I can't again justify his actions through his troubled past and heat-of-the-moment logics. 😕 He is in a new low from now onwards. How will he repay for this ? Or as usual like all his past mistakes, this too shall be forgotten and be covered with his 'helpless' innocent looks ? If I were at Ranveer's place, I would have felt ashamed to be tied to a family with such petty thoughts. đŸ‘ŽđŸŒ

One more thing from today's episodes, I dont know how many of you in the forum are working women, but Dev's behaviour towards his secretary comes under the category of harassment, in North America and I am sure in European Countries, this can be escalated to Human Resource Department for scrutiny where serious action can be taken against the man who verbally shouts at his female employee (irrespective of gender). Dev, from his past records, has a history of venting out frustration on Tina/employees. This is not as casual as it gets shown in Indian Television. Personally speaking, I have a manager with frequent mood swings and it's HORRIBLE to work with such people. Nobody in the world has the time or energy to peep deep inside your boss's 'true selfless' nature and adjust to the daily dose of humiliation that he does to Tina.

I wonder if in near or even 'far' future - this Kaalkothri comment and his behaviour with his office employees issue will be taken care of..

Well these days Dev's mood-swings and anger-management issues has stopped Sona from speaking her heart out. So she would be shocked, surprised and then forgotten-forgiven since she is married to Dev to be his puppy-love toy and nothing more than that, and she isn't allowed to get angry/hurt for anything 😊

I am extremely upset n pissed off with such a derogatory remark by Dev.
Today Dev's anger and misbehavior with Tina and Ranveer has exceeded my level of acceptance..

I am glad Ranveer gave it back to him with outright temper return but Dev deserved much more than that.
no matter how rich u become ,there will b people richer than you and to them your standard of living may be termed as 'kaal Kathori' but that doesn't mean one becomes insensitive to the people who are below in status n riches specially when you too have witnessed the same hardships, struggles and challenging situations in your journey of success..

All thanks to Ishwari that all her life she has been teaching her kids importance of money and luxuries such that anything and anyone can be traded with money. No wonder Dev is trying to save her sister's marriage by trading it with money.
Importance of money is negatively influencing Dev's life, his relationships and most importantly his POOR attitude towards others.Dev might just want to reevaluate all of that.I will certainly not call him rich.

Not just the kal kothri comment but the whole conversation Dev had with Ranveer was shallow and hypocritical.
He wants Ranveer to settle down with Neha in a separate house but can't do the same for Sonakshi.

He is okay with Neha pointing fingers at Ranveer's family but if Sonakshi does that, she needs to walk out of the room(read: his life) right away.

He wants Ranveer to fulfill Neha's whims and wishes but has no regard for his wife's expectations.

The lowest low was obviously calling Ranveer's house kal kothri. Shameful.

I am working in a public sector company in India and even there no one dares talk like this to the subordinates the way Dev does.
But then Dev has this habit of behaving like that because he thinks that as he has money he can get away with whatever he wants. A side effect of his days spent yearning for money and a mother who made money equivalent to God.
He is soft and considerate only with people he loves or cares about with the rest he has the remarkable capability of being inconsiderate and even cruel. Be it Sona before falling in love stage, Ritwik and now ranveer.

Also just wanted to point out one thing for those who keep on defending Ishwari and her alter ego Dev in the name of their Dukh bhari kahani . My grandparents were very rich people who had so much money they used to sleep with a gun. Had huge tracts of land, horses and a house full of servants . My grandmother was the daughter of a high ranking government official and in those days had been given a proper education.

And then one fine day partition of India took place and they had to run to India with absolutely nothing and three very small children. There wasn't anything to even feed the children forget a place to sleep.

My grandfather didn't have a professional degree. He had to sell tea on a thela. But with their hard work they slowly established themselves and gave their children excellent education.

But did I ever see my grandparents behave like Ishwari. No. Is my father scarred like Dev or Neha. No. Did my grandmother ever give my father a lecture on how much she sacrificed for him. No.

I know as a matter of fact that for paying my father's IIT fees my grandparents forego their dinner for a few months. Something my father told us. My grandmother never mentioned this even once in my living memory

Absolutely agree...The way Dev behaved with Tina is totally unacceptable. He should have apologized then and there..
Am glad they have kept Ranveer sane and his replies were spot on..Makes it really interesting..

I work in a private sector..in fact even my superiors or subordinates dont speak like that..totally demeaning and offensive.

That's the point Payal. People sympathize with Ishwari because of the troubled past. That is acceptable. But Ishwari uses that past to manipulate Dev, that is not acceptable and will never be. Parents never blackmail their children with the things that they did for them. Every parent sacrifices something or the other, it might be money, time or resources, for their children but they never burden them with the guilt of those sacrifices. Ishwari does that and that's bad parenting.

That was such an insulting comment especially coming from a person who has gone through poverty himself.
And out of all the things that Dev could say,he was giving advice on responsibilities towards wife đŸ€ŁSomebody show him the mirror please. The only reason his marriage is working is because of Sonakshi.(who has undergone a drastic personality change it seems😳)
There was no remorse on Dev's end for saying anything to Ranveer. He called it Ranveer's "ego".Very convenientđŸ€”If somebody dares to think about their self respect or hard work, they are being egoistic. He did not even bother to understand what Ranveer was saying.Thinking only about themselves is a special trait the Dixits possess. They have suffered so much,so now the world must bow down for them.Everybody else in the world is living a dream life with no problems.đŸ„±

If this is how Dev solves problems, then I don't know how his company is still standing.😕

Dev's behavior with Tina is appalling. No employee would tolerate this rudeness.Everybody around Dev is so understanding & accepting towards his behavior that its unreal. When my superior behaves moody(that too not anywhere near how Dev does), me & other trainees shoot glares at him.Understanding & accepting it meekly is not even on radar.

Amazing post as always and loved your responses in Tia's thread as well.I so want to write a longer reply but my mind is preoccupied with my exams starting in a weekđŸ€“
